The contact owns a 2000 Land Rover Range Rover. Whenever the contact depressed the accelerator pedal, she would hear a loud noise. There are no warning indicators illuminated when the failure occurs. The dealer stated that the intake manifold developed a large hole and, because it was a hole instead of a split, the failure would not be included in the recall. She called the manufacturer, but has not received a response. The intake manifold has not been repaired. The NHTSA campaign id number was unknown. The failure and current mileages were 111,000.
