Car Stall Problems of Mazda CX9

The contact owns a 2012 Mazda cx-9. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. Additionally, the brakes failed to engage when the brake pedal was depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the brake master cylinder and brake booster needed to be replaced. The contact wanted a second opinion and the vehicle was taken to el dorado Chevrolet (2300 n central expy, mckinney, TX 75070) where it was also diagnosed with the master cylinder and brake booster needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Mazda cx-9. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle lost power and stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that there was an odor of coolant fluid and smoke appeared from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and then towed to napleton's countryside Mazda (6060 south la grange road, countryside, IL 60525, (708) 354-2700) to be diagnosed, which was still pending. The Mazda cx 9 cuts off without warning at traffic lights. It also has cut off at low speed turns. It restart some times. Sometime it will not for a few minutes. Been left in the middle lane of us 27 south of sebring florida at a traffic light stalled. The rpm fluxuates at times and the vehicle surges. Dangerous situation when in the center lane and it just cuts off with no warning. No engine check light or warning prior to cutting off.

I was in the parking lot looking for a space when the engine suddenly shut off! radio was still on. I had absolutely no control on the vehicle except for "gliding" to the parking spot ahead of me and braking. Once parked I turned the ignition key on off, took it out, re-inserted the key and restarted the car. The car responded normally. As a test, I backed out of the stall and parked in another one without any problem. 2 hours later the car started without any problem.

I have a Mazda 2012 that spontaneously stalls while decelerating. It also stalls predictably on an incline. Mazda corporation has stated "the stalling on an incline is a characteristic of all cx-9 models" and are not willing to fix it. They have informed me that stalling while decelerating in my car has not been able to be recreated by their tech so they are doing nothing about it. I have been in two near miss accidents. The car loses power steering and braking and the driver has little to no control when it stalls. Incident -1 traveling about 45 mph decelerating to make a right turn, the car stalls out leaving me with no control of steering and little ability to brake. Incident 2- making right turn (decelerating) car stalls out leaving me with no steering and little braking control. Incident 3- pulled up into driveway on slope. Put the car in reverse to back out, car stalled out leaving me with very little ability to brake.
