The contact owns a 2010 Mazda, Mazda6. When the contact started the ignition the front passenger side air bag off indicator illuminated on the instrument panel when an occupant was present in the front passenger seat. The failure occurred sporadically. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated the air bag functioned properly. The manufacturer was notified of the problem and assured the contact that the vehicle met the specifications and requirements. The approximate mileage was 300. The VIN was unavailable. Airbag light flashing for no reason. Car taken to dealer and part was ordered and replaced per bulletin 08-001/09. Apparently corroded part. Now, 07/08/2010, airbag light flashing again. Must take to dealer to service again. (now out of warranty).

Purchased this vehicle in 2002, there is a smell like mildew coming from the a/c had it tested- high mold spore counts in cabin. The air bag light goes on and off. Are these going to work if I should need them? this vehicle has been in the shop 50 times within 3 years for these problems and many more.
