Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings Problems of Mazda MAZDA6

The contact owns a 2009 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that the check engine and check fuel cap warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that spider webs were developing in the fuel and canister vent lines. The technician advised that the webs needed to be removed, the canister valve and the canister vent lines needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in recall NHTSA campaign number: 11v134000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 97,000.

The contact owns a 2008 Mazda Mazda6. While driving approximately 30 mph, the contact noticed a yellow spider coming from the vent area onto the carpet. The contact stated she had noticed spiders in this area several times. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 11v134000 (fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly) which stated that a certain type of spider could weave a web in the evaporative canister vent line and potentially cause a restriction in the line. The manufacturer advised that the recall was only for the 2009-2010 model Mazda6. The failure mileage 36,000 and the current mileage was 48,000.

I have a 2004 Mazda 6s I have had two incidents where the fuel line has detached from inside the engine and the car has stalled and gasoline has poured out from underneath the car. The first time the dealership told me that there was a recall and I should received it in the mail , I later found out there was no recall . They then fixed the car supposely and three months later it happened again.
