10 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2011 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 10/10/2011

I have had an ongoing issue since I purchased my Mazda 6 2011, if I slow down or stop for a traffic light and then try to accelerate the gas pedal is to the floor and the car doesn't move, then out of nowhere it will accelerate. I was told the voltage in the gas pedal censor and the censor in the engine were not the same voltage, both were replaced but I still continue to have problems and the dealership cannot find out what the problem is. My car has been back in to Mazda 3 times but no solution, as this is extremely dangerous in heavy traffic I wish someone could figure this out before I get into a serious accident.

12 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2004 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 06/01/2011

Engine will shut off without warning at any speed. I researched the issue and found that there are a large number of complaints regarding the exact same symptoms with the 2003-2005 Mazda 6. Mazda even released a service bulletin: 01-016/06 in 2006 regarding a bad throttle body with aa, ab, or ba markings. Sure enough after removing the throttle body, mine had the aa markings. From the amount of online complaints and the fact that a service bulletin was released, this is not an isolated issue. This is a huge safety concern and should be a safety recall. To top it off, currently Mazda has an issue with replacement throttle body's that will cause the car to jerk and stall at anytime. They have admitted that the current new stock of throttle bodies will not work with my vehicle. This will cause people to keep driving with a bad throttle body since there is no replacement.

13 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 08/01/2010

On several models of Mazda 6's Mazda has issued a TSB for the problem which is a defective throttle position sensor. I have read thousands of complaints by consumers. Mazda has made a new part yet not recalled the old part. When this part fails you lose all acceleration power to the vehicle. The way to reset this is to turn off the motor and turn it right back on. I was driving on a two-lane highway crossed over the broken double yellow line to pass another vehicle when this defective part failed and I lost all acceleration. Thankfully, I had just enough time to be able to allow the same car I was passing to pass me and I pulled off the roadway. The car worked fine for the rest of that trip it occurred again on the freeway in the fast lane. I contacted Mazda corporate customer care they advised me that they were aware of the issue but had not issued a recall at this time.

14 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2004 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 09/06/2009

Engine failed while driving because of a problem with the throttle body. There was no warning. Found that Mazda has known about this problem since may 2006 in fact there is a service bulletin that completely identifies this situation down to the part number code on the defective part. Bulletin number 01-016/06. This happened on a major freeway at 70 mph, it was just luck that I was able to get off of the highway without a major incident. My car was under warranty when this bulletin came out why was it not replaced or recalled. . I have seen recalls for many things with less safety impact. I was charge $473 for the repair.

15 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 01/01/2009

My car has had 4 recalls. I purchased the car in 2006 not knowing that parts had been recalled 3 times. I recently fixed a problem in my car that I feel make have had something to do with recall #3 , the fuel sender unit.

16 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2003 Mazda MAZDA6

Failure Date: 10/01/2003

I purchased my 2003 Mazda 6s in October 2003. Since I have owned the car I gets poor gas mileage on it (about 16-18 miles per gallon). I do plenty of city driving but I still feel that this is not adequate. Even when I drive on the highway the gas mileage averages poorly. There is also a smell coming from the exhaust when vehicle is in motion. The vehicle also rev's up higher before switching from lower gears to higher gears. I do not 'jack rabbit' start or stop the vehicle. There is also alot of brake dust on the rims of the front wheels. Acceleration is very poor. There is also a jerk when the vehicle switches from first gear to second. Don't get me wrong I love the way the vehicle looks, which is the main reason why I bought the vehicle, but the overall quality has turned out to be much poorer than I had expected.
