Ignition Problems of Mazda MAZDA6

The contact owns a 2006 Mazda 6. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 14v567000 (electrical system: ignition switch), 15v313000 (air bags), and 16v352000 (air bags). The parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

: the contact stated the vehicle intermittently will not start. The vehicle often starts if the key is turned to the start position and held there for over a minute. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership numerous times for inspection. The dealer replaced the fuel pump; however that did not remedy the problem. The consumer also stated the entire vehicle vibrated while driving. Updated 02/07/06.

Car does not have ignition lock system. After stopping car, turning off and removing key, car rolled backward while still in "drive" position causing damage to driver side back door. Son was within inches of being slammed into concrete pole the car rolled into.

Have a Mazda 6 that continuously has the check engine light come on. Had an incident where the car was failing to accelerate and waited for tow truck. That was the first time I took the car in for repair. Waited 3 weeks before I could get my car back and when I got it back, it happened again 3 more times, and took it in for servicing all those times. I don't want to continue to make a trip to the dealer every month like I have been doing.
