Inherent safety design of the trunk lid: I got a gash in my forehead as I was opening the trunk lid and the lower edge of the license plate cut into my scalp just below the hair line. I believe that the trunk lid dropped as I leaned into the trunk to retrieve my belongings from the trunk. I bled profusely.

Trunk release button can be activated by anyone unless the car door is locked. Incident disturbs consumer with small children. In manual, shows key slot with the release in the button which is not there in this model. Dealer and manufacturer notified, and cannot remedy the problem. Problem still exists.
