1 Radiator problem of the 2009 Mercury Mariner

Failure Date: 04/23/2012

My vehicle started leaking fluorescent oil from behind the radiator. Apparently, it's the condenser. I have been told that the radiator lines run through the same system, and that if it is not repaired my transmission will eventually fail. This failure was explained to be the transmission locking up, and they said if I'm going over about 30 mph it will be very dangerous. I am about 2,000 miles out of warranty, and the emails I have sent to Ford only get a response that they will be happy to take my money and fix it. Within a few months of buying it, the intake manifold had to be removed to repair something. Then, a transmission solenoid. Then, it was shifting funny -because it had very little fluid-noone could explain why. The vibration in the gas pedal at 42 mph "could not be verified. " the manufacturer was apparently out of satellite receivers, so they just didn't put one in. . . The lack of quality overall proves that the length of the warranty is to prevent them from costly fixes. . . And my "long term investment " makes me feel like I'm putting mine and my family's health at risk by driving it. I spent every dime I saved in iraq on this pos because I knew I wouldn't be able to afford another vehicle until I'm out of medical school.

2 Radiator problem of the 2007 Mercury Mariner

Failure Date: 06/29/2010

I was driving to work and car began to make a loud rattle noise, od light flashed (od off) and pulled over. I attempted to pull back on road and car would not shift into 2nd gear. Transmission problem. 1800. 00 repair. Now 2013 exactly 3 years later and car begins same thing all over again. Diagnostic test states needs new transmission. Told these cars have had these problems from the get go. Ford knows this! the problem is coolant is located in radiator and does not keep trans from overheating. I am now told it will be 3650. 00 for another trans. This is a total mess. It is not fair to the consumer who still owes 16,000. 00 on this car. I bought this car with the hopes of repairing my damaged credit and made all routine service and flushes as scheduled on time. Now what to do? I cant afford another transmission, and am without a car and continue to have a car payment or my credit that I have finally got back on track is ruined once again! can anyone offer me advice on what to do? help!.
