Started my car up and it said power steering failed. . I cut the car off and waited then it went off. . . As I was headed to work the airbag light came on for the passenger side. . I pulled into the store turned the car off a while and started it back up the light went off before leaving work the power steering message popped back up I once again turned off the car for a while. . . I manage to make it home but a mile from my house the airbag light once again came on. . Please check into this. . I love my life and the life of my loved ones driving like this is very dangerous and this is my only means of transportation.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact called friendly Ford (660 n decatur blvd, las vegas, nv 89107; 866-724-9143) and was informed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Air bag light comes on intermittently ether while driving or stationary. Numerous complaints on internet about this problem. Car has only 15,522 miles . Had car in for recall 15s34. Told them about air bag light and at that time light was on. They told me it was out of safety equipment warranty. Contacted Ford they told me my compliant was noted and that I need not contact NHTSA because they will.
