1 Transmission Solenoid problem of the 2007 Mercury Milan

Failure Date: 03/21/2007

After obtaining the 2007 Mercury Milan i4 premiere, I have had transmission problems with the 5-speed automatic, inasmuch that it "jerked" when putting it into reverse and wouldn't operate beyond 3rd gear. After taking it into the dealer, costa mesa Lincoln Mercury, the first time the problem appeared remedied for a couple of days, then returned. I took the vehicle back into the same dealers service, where it has been for over a month. I made my second and third payments while it sat in service. At this point, the entire transmission has been replaced, the controller, solenoid, etc. When I picked it up the second time, I didn't even make it back to the freeway when the same problem appeared again, so I immediately returned the car a third time to service for the same problem. Please note that I have no problem with the dealer, this is a problem from the factory. The dealer had a Ford factory service rep. Out for three consecutive days, and when asked how to fix the vehicle he replied, "replace it. " the dealer is saying that to replace it will still take another 3 weeks or so. I feel this ridiculous, because the car has been at the dealers service dept. More than I have had it to enjoy, while still being required to make payments. Ford/Mercury had better remedy this, to my satisfaction, quickly!.
