1 Blown Head Gasket problem of the 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Failure Date: 07/07/2003

Consumer noticed oil in the driveway. Vehicle was taken to a mechanic to detect where the oil was leaking from. Mechanic determined that the head gasket blew out. Head gasket has was revised twice by the manufacturer before they had one that worked. Defective head gasket was replaced with the revised head gasket. However, leak hasn't recurred.

2 Blown Head Gasket problem of the 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Head gasket has blown, causing leakage of quart of oil about every thousand mile. Manufacuter has developed 13 different gaskets to prevent failure, but it does not resolve problem.
