Electrical System Problems of Mitsubishi Galant - part 2

Two weeks ago as I was driving to work, my Galant simply stopped moving. The engine was still running, all the warning lights came on, but the car would not move. After turning it off and restarting it several times, I did get to work and had it towed to the dealership where I bought it. They kept it for 24 hours, drove it, ran some tests and told me they couldn't find anything wrong. The same thing happened yesterday, but it stopped moving five times before I could finally get to work. Again I had it towed to the dealership where they had it for 30 hours; same results. I feel like I'm driving a ticking bomb--I could have been rear-ended any of the times when the car just stopped moving. I need someone to find out what's wrong and fix my car.

When ever I crank the car up in the morning or afternoon after the car sits for a while the exhaust smells like bad eggs. The radio/cd was replace three times already and the cd player still sounds staticty when playind disc and the speakers pop when the radio is completely off. Also when ever some gets in and out of the car they get shocked by it to the point where u can actually see the spark from the shock. And when the car is just siting running u can feel the car shake like it is about to cut off.

Consumer stated the vehicle was parked in the parking lot at work, when the radio caught on fir due to an electrical short.

Dealer informed consumer that the mileage on vehicle which read 053086 was not the original mileage and that the previous owner had replaced the speedometer at 35992 miles because the vehicle had experienced electrical problems and the odometer was inoperative, dealer could not repair vehicle under warranty due to mileage.

When using electrical windshield wipers headlights will dim. Consumer felt this was unsafe because mechanic told him it could cause and electrical fire, or lights could keep flickering.

While driving, all lights dim randomly for 1-3 seconds. Also, the dome light switch fails to turn the dome light on when set to "on" and sometimes does not turn the light on when set to "door" with the door open.
