After impact (he never braked) he continued to move my car with his thereby folding the front of my car in half, taking off front wheels, fenders and bumper, gas tank (smoking but not on fire), and moving my car two lanes to the left via impact and push. No air bags deployed. Driver's door, mine, would not open. Seat belt pulled in very tight. Impact slammed my chest, knee and ankle. Fractured sternum, cuts and bruises on leg and foot. Back pain at site of crash. Could not walk up ambulance steps. Hospital stay 2 days with multiple tests. Drs. Visits required this week, one day after release. Car totalled. 2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2000 Mitsubishi Galant

Failure Date: 09/16/2005

Intake manifold has been replaced twice and now the third manifold has cracked in the very same place as the first two. First replacement came with no explanation why. Second replacement was because of a cracked motor mount. I will not let dealership replace this manifold. I have been told that when the timing belt was replaced it was not installed correctly and there is too much engine vibration. Belt replaced at 60k. Three manifolds failed in a 19 month period.

3 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 1997 Mitsubishi Galant

Failure Date: 05/31/2005

The harmonic balance failed. When the part was taken off the motor, it fell apart in the owner's hands. The pulley separated from harmonic balancer, and caused failure of the belts. It resulted in car being now inoperable. The driver was at a low speed of 10-15 mph. If this would happen at a higher speed it would been extremely dangerous. This was very sudden ,and there were no problems before. Also, there were no warning signs. The owner is replacing the harmonic balancer.
