Frame And Members Problems of Mitsubishi Galant

The drivers side floor is constantly wet in my 2001 Galant. It started happening in the last 3 months. I checked the underside of the car and do not see any holes; the undercarriage coating looks fine. There is a little support beam under the floor board of the car that I can not peer into. The fluid does not appear to be coolant. It does not look or smell like coolant.

The contact owns a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant. While attempting to change a flat tire, the jack went straight through the frame while the vehicle was being lifted. The contact had the vehicle towed to a shop and they informed him that there was excessive rust in the rear subframe. The contact sold the vehicle rather than have it repaired. The failure mileage was 150,000.

The rear undercarriage of my 1996 Mitsubishi Galant has severe rust damage to the point that you cannot even jack up the car as the jack penetrates they sub frame. The strut from the right rear also came loose from the tower. The rear wheels that are attached to the sub frame are extremely unsafe.

Subframe bolt broke in half - dealer can't remove old bolt and replace - said they 'never break'.

Consumer states that the strut mounts popped out from under the hood. Mechanic diagnosed that the vehicle was not welded properly because the frame should not be tearing easily.
