Brake Electric Antilock Problems of Mitsubishi Mirage

Faulty brakes-in Dec,2002, had to hit brakes when vehicle pulled in front of me. I immediately lost control of vehicle-no steering- and car spun several times. Appeared brakes locked up even though I have abs system. 2/2003-same thing. Was couple lengths behind vehicle when car in front suddenly pulled to left lane because a veh had almost stopped in road. When I pushed on brakes, they again locked up with no steering control causing me to hit vehicle in front of me even though I was trying to steer vehicle off into emer lane. Was going about 55 and air bags did not even deploy. Had problems with brakes/tires squeaking in 12/2001 & took in for repair. Was told it was a transmission problem & was repaired under warranty but car still clicked during turns.

Consumer was traveling about 35mph on a off ramp and started to downshift, applied brakes with vehicle in right lane, and it drifted off into left. Consumer started to steer, and vehicle would not turn at all, causing an accident. Consumer stated when he attempted to brake, he could not, then down shifted vehicle to try and slow it down which did not help, consumer was unable to maintain control of the steering.

Applied brakes and pedal went to the floor ,causing extended stopping distance, which resulted in a rear end collision. Brakes have been replaced 3 times within 14 months. Please give any further details.

While driving could step on brake pedal and rotors will make noises like grinding metal to metal. Rotors had been replaced a couple times. Dealer said that could be happening just like with other vehicles.

While pulling in a parking space car speeded up and took off. Cosumer's foot was on brake and pushed it to floorboard, crashed into sears wall, and none of airbags deployed.

There is a very fine sound when I drive at 55 mph and I asked the dealer about this and he said it maybe that because the license plate is not installed yet. My other concern is.

Brakes make a high-pitched squeaking sound when I brake. The car requires alot of braking time & distance to stop - it doesn't stop quickly. The car has died on 4 occasions. Three times were at red lights, the fourth I was going about 35 miles an hour. I notifed the nearest dealer (in norco California). The manager of the repair shop had me bring the car in (an hour drive) & then said he was too busy to look at my car when I arrived. I asked if I could leave it & take a replacement or rental car until he had time to inspect the car. He said no, I should just bring it back another day.

Brake problems; 3 accidents due to not being able to stop when applying brakes. While pulling into garage brakes did not work, vehicle went straight through back of garage.

When applying the brakes the wheels locked up and caused vehicle to hydroplane on wet ground. Dealer has not seen.
