Service Brakes Problems of Mitsubishi Mirage

The driver seatbelt doesn’t lock to where it unlocks while driving. Also brakes have to be replaced often then the power control sensor made the car go limp out of no where. The engine light didn’t come on til way later after the car wouldn’t work properly. This is all a hazard to the person driving bc of the car goes limp out of no where it can cause an accident bc it stops working like if it’s on neutral but in reality it’s in drive. Please help!! I don’t even know who can look at my car.

The contact owns a 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage. The contact stated while driving at 40 mph, the brake warning light illuminated. In the year 2020 I took it for service but they did not find the problem then in 2021 in January I have noticed that the rubber on the front left side is sticking, the shaft is overheating, a vibration in the front axle which is not constant. Everything indicates that they are locking the pad and they indicate that there is no guarantee that I have to pay all the expenses. I have also noticed an excess of fuel consumption since the last software update that you received from the dealer cabrera brother hatillo consumes more gasoline than a 2006 Toyota corolla it was tested because they run the same miles something is wrong with this vehicle consumes more gasoline than what what the manufacturer says . $ 20. 00 of gas at 64. 7 a liter full tank can only run 255. 7 miles. I have checked it for 2 weeks it consumes a lot of gasoline more than a 2006 Toyota corolla.

Twice about 6 months apart driving city speeds the brake pedal has gone to the floor, a quick pump and everything is good but it scares you to death! nothing can be found wrong and its still under warranty?.

When having to brake with any suddenness at all, I met two extremes. They either engaged so abruptly everything was thrown forward, or they failed to engage enough. Sudden- I describe this type of braking as when being cut in front of. The necessity to brake in this manner would throw my dogs and belongings into the floor. It happened frequently enough to make an impression. It seemed irregular to me. Extreme- #1: I encountered a pile-up of traffic unexpectedly and outside of the usual slowing areas for the highway. I had to slam on my brakes. The car did not slow sufficiently. The dogs were not thrown to the floor. I avoided collision by moving to another lane. A terrifying moment, but the brakes resumed normal functions under normal conditions. #2- as I drove around a mountainous bend and negotiated some traffic, I was faced with a car at a full stop at a pedestrian crosswalk a short distance ahead of me. I slammed my brakes. The car didn't slow enough. Nothing was thrown forward until the collision. As my foot was fully pressing down on them, I question if the brakes malfunctioned under extreme braking again. Normal- (2000 miles on the car)I approached a stoplight at the end of a steep road. The brakes made a grinding sound and a mechanical pop-like sound. I let off of them then reapplied slowly several times until the car stopped. The sound repeated every time I braked. It sounded as if I continued to brake, they would break. The noises dissipated after I continued. I reported it at my first oil change. He said they were fine. On review at the salvage lot, the brakes appear normal yet remarkably shiny and unused for 14,500 miles. Other: the airbags did not deploy though the car totaled. The display was often in french though english was selected. I do not know if the brakes are in any way run by the computerized part of the car so I add this detail.

I had to make complete sudden stop when I had to put on the brakes quickly to avoid wreck. I was in the fast lane and when I went to start to go again it didn't want to accelerate again. I had to pull over to shoulder and shut off car and restart it. If this is a safety feature than its not a good one since you need to be able to go in the fast lane. It could of resulted in somebody to wreck in the back of me. I have had the computer resetting as result of I believe speed control issue or whatever the last recall was. I was on the interstate going at a decent speed when I made sudden stop.

While driving various speeds, depressing the brake pedal, making turns, or traveling downhill fifty ft before coming to a complete stop, the brake pedal would make a gulping noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to hayward Mitsubishi (25601 mission blvd, hayward, CA 94544) where it was diagnosed that the execu pad set front brake needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 11,916.

My vehicle's engine is shaking on the arms, lights going off esp. During wet weather, and corrosion is extreme. My brakes cut on and off - this has been happening since I purchased the car in June, 2017.

Hi 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is a terrible car I feel unsafe with this car I had to replace for 5 tires I complained to the company and the company only says it's part of it is wear and tear I didn't fix my brakes 2 times already and now I have to break change the brakes in the back we had this car for 2 years and I'm having so much trouble with it.

Takata recall. I purchased my Mirage in Feb of this year, I noticed that after I had my car at a complete stop it felt like someone ran into the back of car, so I took the car in on March 28th and they said that it was a transmission malfunction so they had to replace the transmission. So after they replaced the transmission and I went and picked my car back up I noticed that the breaks felt like they weren't right, it felt like I had to press the break down so hard to get my car to come to a complete stop, so I then also noticed that when I did break my breaks started to make a weird noise. Now I don't know much about cars and this was my first vehicle and I at least know that I should not be having this many issues already, at this point I am very irritated and angry because I have to deal with all these problems. This past Saturday 04/16/2016 I was driving home from philadelphia PA after visiting a friend and my breaks locked, I went to push the break pedal and it wouldnt go down, thank god that there was no ther vehickes infront of me because I would of hit some one, I only usemy car for work and to take my daughter to doctors appts, to go visit my dad and sister and also to the grocery store.

I don't feel safe my car, in 2 years I had replace brakes 2 times next replace the brakes. Now string doesn't drive straight. I had replace tries 5 times two the tries are brand new . The company tell it is treats this unacceptable. And trie.

I was traveling on a two lane road in my 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage, it had been raining and the roads were still damp. I was in a accident and air bags didn't deploy, I replace the brakes a month ago the dealership said I need brakes again,the motor knocks until the car warms up,I pay 400 a month for a trashy little car help me.

I was in rush hour traffic at a red light. The light turned green. Approx. 100 - 150 yrds beyond the intersection the vehicle 3 cars ahead of me slammed on their brakes. This caused the two vehi les between them and me to slam on their brakes. I hit my clutch and brake to stop, but the brakes never engaged. I never even slowed down. My airbags deployed, I was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and my car was deemed to be a total loss by the insurance company.

My husband and I were driving home one night from a friends birthday. At approx. 1:20am I was driving north in newark pompton turnpike located in wayne, NJ 07470. My husband lifted the emergency brake (the reason is unknown) and the car instantly started spinning on a straight road. Within second the brakes released and sent the front of the vehicle airborne head on into a utility pole resulting in the instant death of my husband because the passenger side airbag did not deploy and my husbands cause of death was multiple force blunt trauma to upper torso I myself was 17 weeks pregnant this accident also led to the result of death to my unborn child. I also was pinned under the dashboard and received multiple bilateral fractures and internal injuries. I was induced to a coma for 1 months before I work up now I deal with many leg problems and titanium rods, screws, and pins in both legs for rest of my life.

After parking vehicle, consumer states' there was burning and smoking coming from the brakes. Cause is unknown. Please describe further. Ts.
