I was in a Nissan Altima with three passengers, two in the back seats and one in the front seat. When in the process of turning left someone crashed into the rear of my vehicle. Both the front seats broke at the hinge pushing the seats back into the backseat passengers. This resulted in minor injuries to them; scraps on leg and head, bloody nose and bruised teeth. If the seats had not failed, these minor injuries would not have occured. It is also unclear how neck issues on the driver and passengers were exacerbated. My vehicle was moving slow and was not yet at a full stop. It was on a rural two lane road. The speed limit was 50 mph.

I was in an accident where I was hit at highway speed and my car spun out of control. The car was traveling backwards when it went off the side of the highway and into a ditch. When the rear of the car entered the ditch the impact was significant and my driver side seat back went all the way back. I feel that this is a significant defect, because the seat back and seat belt should keep the driver and passengers as still as possible. I don't believe that the seat back collapsing backwards is intended by the design. When I went to view the car and retrieve my personal belongings, I tried to bring the seat back to the upright position, but the lever was bent and was not able to be lifted in order to bring the seat back up. I took pictures of the bent lever and the position of the seat.

I was washing my car and then wanted to vacuum it out. I moved the driver seat forward and the back of the drivers seat detached and fell in the back seat. I could not fix it so I took to the dealer who initially wanted $ 1,200. 00 to repair. They eventually put the seat in place and told me never to move it again. This is crazy it is a power seat. This has to be a defect from factory. Had I been driving when this happened I would have been looking up thru the roof and most likely have wrecked.

Back seat latch hooks are unaccesable for latch system of baby/child car seats. The placement made it impossible to for the latches so we are forced to only use the lap belt to secure to car seat.

The sway bar doesn't stabilize the vehicle. When driving the vehicle it bounces sideways, there noise when going over bumps (possible bent strut), and bounces sideways. The rear seat behind the driver collapsed upon the impact of the accident. The cruise control didn't appear to cancel when the vehicle was out of control. The cruise control is fine when driving straight, but if the vehicle swerves, the vehicle goes out of control. The antenna squeaked-was greased, the wipers are wrong-replaced, and the vehicle made a humming noise when accelerated. Scc.

While at a complete stop, I was hit from the rear by a car traveling about 30mph. Upon impact the driver's seat collapsed and came off track. The airbags did not deploy. Because of the severity of the damage, I contacted Nissan to find out what needed to be done to prevent tthis from happening again because if my children were in the back seat, any child behind me would have been crushed to death. Nissan said that the seat was supposed to collapse as a saftey mecahanism. I am still undergoing therapy for injury to my low back, which hurt upon impact, and my neck and shoulders. I want this seat fixed. I would rather have whiplash, which I sustained anyway, than crush one of my children to death. ( dot number: tire size: p205/60r15 ).
