general problems of the 2006 Nissan Armada - part 2

My husband and I were driving back home and our Nissan Armada breaks failed. Senor lights flash on and off all the time. Clicking sound when driving parked etc. Horrible sound from under vehicle, as I'm driving. Steering wheel shakes even after a wheel alignment. City streets and highway. I have taken the car to Nissan and they just brush it off and say there is nothing wrong with the car take it for a long drive.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving 2 mph the brakes were applied and failed to engage. The dealer was informed about the failure and replaced the brakes under warranty. The contact stated that this occurred again after the brakes were replaced when she applied the brakes and the vehicle did not stop. The vehicle was repaired again. The failure mileage was 20,000 and the current mileage was 25,000.

Randomly while driving abs system seems to engage and normal brake function is lost. Usually this occurs after a stop and begins next time I press the brake pedal. Occurs about once a month. To resolve it we have to pull to the side of the road and restart the car.

Applied pressure to brake to avoid a collision. Brake arm snapped into. No brakes. Vehicle traveled 100 ft. Before stopping. Had to emergency brake to stop. Nissan as done nothing as of yet. The brake pedal, pieces and arm are in our possession.

"for about the last 6 months we have experienced a half dozen times or so an issue with brakes not working properly. The brakes pulsate when pushed as though the abs is kicking in, grinding is felt and heard and braking only barely works. This only seems to occur at lower (non-freeway) speeds and the issue usually corrects itself upon shutting the engine off and restarting. Appears our issue is to TSB ntb06-040, but I am not sure at this point. Going to try to get it in to the dealership this week and hopefully get this issue fixed. I have researched this issue on the net and it seems to be a common issue (see complaint #s below) with some people having accidents. We were on i75 rush hour , we had been stopping and going for about 5 min at that point then all of a sudden we pressed the brake it sounded like grinding and squealing, with very little breaking control. We didn't think we were going to get off the road safely. We took it to the dealer they said they fixed it. . . Not . . . Now we have been stuck paying for a vehicle we can't drive or sell. Something must be done about this. Why no recalls ? how many people have to complain or get hurt until Nissan steps up to the plate.

Brakes are making a noise and the abs, vdc and slip lights are coming up on the dashboard. We have tried turning on and off vehicle. This made the lights go off at first. We have checked brake fluid. We have had the brakes inspected. No visible reason for this to occur. I have seen numerous reports on this same problem. Why is my vehicle not covered in the ntb06-040 recall?.

Multiple times, our Nissan Armada has had incidents with the brakes. The brake pedal modulates/shutters, stopping distances are increased, and a loud vibration can be heard and felt from the front of the vehicle.
