3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 01/15/2017

Nissan states there are no recalls open for this VIN although nets states this make model and year has a recall out for the the fuel gauge. My gas tank incorrectly reads the gas which caused me to stall on the highway! I can drive around all day and will still show its full. Engine is also very loud during acceleration and overheats the car. Passenger airbag light will also not turn off, not sure if this is a recall, but car indicates no passenger is sitting when there is and shows the airbag will not deploy of a crash happens.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 04/01/2016

The air bag light was flashing so I took my 2005 Armada to the dealership to find out the reason. The dealer is charging me about $500. 00 to replace the harness. They said the air bag may not deploy if I am involved in an accident. Also, I've had two instances where my brakes got jammed and made a loud noise when I stopped at a stop sign.

8 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 11/19/2010

An estimate of record was originated at Toyota of north charlotte after the collision. The air bags never deployed before, during or after the collision despite the multiple damages and my minor injury. There has been an on-going airbag diagnostic code that has been monitored during other general maintenance repairs that were completed. It has not been brought to my attention if the vehicle contains a defective air bag system. I am trying to obtain the Nissan part numbers/descriptions for the original airbags within my 2006 Armada. The dealership stated that they were unable to provide this data even though the vehicle was purchased, repaired and inspected at that lake norman-cornelius location.

9 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 10/16/2010

On 10/16/10 my father was involved in a front end collision with a tree (center of bumper) while driving his 2004 Nissan Armada. A high degree of damage was sustained on the vehicle. He suffered from facial lacerations and bruising. The airbags in the Armada did not deploy for some reason. We have begun the process of contacting Nissan to report this. My guess is that he hit the tree doing at least 20 mph based on the damage (although my guess may not be correct).

10 Air Bag Not Deploy problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 12/07/2008

Drive my Nissan Armada on 12/7/08 and the airbag light comes on with the flashing srs light. I have the extended warranty so I take it to dealership. Dealership tells me it's the sensor and that it would be $385 to fix and it's not covered under my warranty as it's an electrical component. So I do some research and see that this is a problem with 2005 Armadas (which mine is an 05) and that there is a voluntary service bulletin issued which states that there is a known defect and that some dealerships are fixing at their discretion free of charge. I call the Nissan hotline (1-800-nissan1) and issue a complaint. No one could help me, the last person I spoke to was the regional specialist. I say this is a known manufacture defect and that customers should not be held responsible for the manufactures mistake. So in the mean time, we contact our local dealership, again. Speak with service manager, he says that if there was a collision the airbag will not deploy, but there is nothing that can be done because my vehicle's VIN number doesn't come back with any eligible recalls pertaining to that. So fast forward a week to 1/7/09, see on my local news there is a recall on Nissan trucks. I look up the recall and see it's on the 2005-2009 frontier, pathfinder, and xterra that was either purchased or registered in cold weather climates. So I call dealership, he plugs my VIN into the computer "there are no recalls on this vehicle" so I call 1-800-nissan1 again. . Reference my old ticket and issue a new one. "regional specialist" called back and states there is still nothing that could be done for us. In researching this, this is a common problem for 2005 Armadas, customers shouldn't be held responsible for their defect, especially if it involves the loss of the use of airbags.

The current and failure mileages were 18,000.
