I made an appointment with the dealership peoria Nissan for 8:15am on the morning of 4/18/26. I confirmed the recall and brought the vehicle in early they received it told me it should be done by lunch. At 3:45 pm they messaged me it was all done and ready to go. I called and questioned them as to whether or not the airbag needed to be replaced, where they admitted they actually didnt do anything. They started to work on it, realized they wouldnt have time and put it back together. The keys would be at the front desk at sales they were going home. I went down and asked about a rental as the vehicle had a dangerous recall (I had just purchased the vehicle used) they said service is closed go ahead and drive it home and set another appointment and try again. Not only did they lie originally by stating it was all done and ready to go in hopes I wouldnt ask about the airbag. They then insisted I drive it home knowing it was a danger to my family and myself.

On Saturday, February 7th, at approximately 1:00 pm, I was involved in a high-impact rear-end collision while driving cautiously with adaptive cruise control and driver assistance systems activated, maintaining the distance set by the vehicle itself. When the vehicles ahead of me suddenly collided, my Nissan Armada did not brake properly. I am not stating that the braking response was insufficient — I am stating that the braking system failed to function correctly. Despite fully depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate in a normal or expected manner. Most importantly, there were no visible skid marks or braking marks on the pavement after the accident, which strongly indicates that the braking system did not engage as it should have. Any properly functioning vehicle under full brake application would normally leave visible braking evidence on the roadway. This did not occur. The impact was severe and resulted in extensive frontal damage, yet no airbags deployed, which further intensifies the concern regarding multiple safety system failures. This incident placed my life, the lives of my family members traveling with me, and the lives of others on the road at extreme risk. While there were no fatalities, there were minor injuries and significant emotional trauma, particularly for my [xxx] daughter, who is now fearful of riding in a vehicle. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

On 12/13/25 at 2:30pm our vehicle slid on ice and we crashed into the front of a barrier. No deployment of airbags occurred but the impact was so severe it damaged the frame/suspension/radiator. Our insurance adjusted/police and tow yard were surprised that the airbags did not deploy.

I’ve had to replace the battery three times in three years that I’ve owned the vehicle I purchased it used. The transmission jerks like it’s slipping. It has done this ever since I purchased it no recalls on transmission. The side door airbag sensor is defective. The airbag light flashes on the dashboard took it to the new Nissan dealership was gonna cost five to $7000 for the sensor so that airbag will not deploy in the driver side door. I had a 2010 Nissan Armada airbag sensor went out and the steering wheel and it was outrageous to replace that airbag sensor no recalls I will never buy a Nissan Armada again. . I have had all maintenance and upkeep completed at the dealership on my vehicle. Why is there not a transmission recall an airbag recalls on these vehicles?.

I just purchased the vehicle with the airbag alert on, as well as the seatbelt alert. It seems there’s no recall for this vehicle. Please advise that you should reconsider the limited recalls and include the 2010 armanda with the “platinum” package.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and occupied, the air bag warning light illuminated. An independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the air bag system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 20v188000 (air bags); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 106,229.
The passenger airbag occupancy sensor has failed. The passenger airbag will not deploy in the event of collision. The issue has not been easily able to accurately diagnose. The dealership recommends replacement of the entire passenger seat frame with built in sensors. This repair ranges between 4-7 thousand. If it repairs the issue. This is a significant portion of the value of the vehicle.
Was driving on a smooth road when suddenly airbag light on dash came on flashing. All the steering wheel buttons are working. Brought car to mechanic's shop to scan obd2, no dtc codes. Mechanic says they don't know what it is without a code. Nissan has been shady lately with technical service bulletins TSB instead of recalls. TSB according to Nissan hq is a repair at the discretion of the dealer meaning that they do not have to repair it even while it was under warranty. I had some piston slapping noise and burning smell coming from engine bay while under warranty the dealer mechanic said," the noise is normal that of a SUV and the burnt smell was the peanut packing oil burning off the outside of the engine". There was a TSB put out a few months later saying that Nissan acknowledged a defective short block in the engine causing abnormal wear on the piston. I brought it into the dealer and they refused to replace the short block and damaged cylinder. Nhtsa needs to up their game and force these auto companies to be accountable. Years back my first edition Honda accord v6 had failed brakes that made me have an accident totaling the car. Veered off side of highway to minimize harm to others. Three years after the accident a recall on that models brakes came up. I was never given money for the totalled car by Honda. They need to be held accountable. Please take action and force the recalls instead of waiting for more people to be injured. Just look at the complaints on this make and model, why hasn't an investigation even begun? airbag should be a top priority in recalls. Especially a blinking light with no explanation is a ticking time bomb that can set off an airbag at any given notice worst yet not deploy when there is an actual accident.
Unknown the light for air bags is on.

The red airbag warning light began flashing on my 2017 Nissan Armada on Friday, April 19, 2024. I took the vehicle to wood Nissan of lee's summit for them to diagnose the issue. I was told the airbag control module had failed as well as the left side (driver side) curtain airbag. The dealership checked for recalls and found none. Non-moving vehicle components, like the airbag system, are designed to last the life of the vehicle and sudden and unexplainable failures like my vehicle experienced presented a risk not only to me, but potentially to other owners of the same model year vehicle. This vehicle has been well maintained with regular dealership visits and has never been in an accident of any kind as I am also the original owner. In searching for airbag system recalls, I found that there were various recalls on Nissan Armada model years just prior to and after my 2017 model and I am concerned there is a system issue that needs to be addressed directly by Nissan and the airbag manufacturer.
Left side driver air bag. Air bag light on. Repair to replace airbag needed at a cost of approximately $2,000 in order to get massachusetts state inspection sticker. One week later, light back on, now estimate from dealer for $3,400 to replace the harness that the airbag sits in. We can't afford to get this second repair. Should manufacturers be responsible for a required safety feature such as an airbag? we won't be able to get it inspected next year with the blinking airbag light on. We will be driving around with a car with no left side airbag because we can't afford to replace and we will need to get a replacement car next year as the light flashing required to be fixed before massachusetts will provide an inspection sticker.
The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the air bag warning light continually blinked off and on. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously service for the same failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Airbag light went on. Took it to the Nissan dealer in naples, florida paid to have diagnostics done to determine the problem. The drivers seat airbag is defective. Per the diagnostics, the dealer service department said it was a safety issue.
Airbag light stays on after dealer has fixed it three times. First time was a recall came back on. Fixed second and third. Came back on. . . .
The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Armada. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23e012000 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 102,016.

The passenger airbag seat sensor is defective. It has disabled the passenger airbag, and will not reactivate even with a passenger in the seat. The cost to repair the sensor is $5670. Just the sensor. The airbag has never deployed. We requested that Nissan cover the repair or at least the part, as the airbag is obviously critical safety equipment, but they have refused.

Flashing airbag light appeared. Vehicle taken to dealership and diagnostic charge and service performed. No clear resolution during diagnostic but recommendation to replace passenger side impact airbag. If that doesn’t solve issue, more replacement options will ensue. Concern/issue: the first step in solving the problem is a $2500 price without guarantee. Expense could reach $11,000 if all possible steps are needed to solve the airbag alarm. (this is more than half the value of the vehicle) no accidents or warnings leading up to airbag light.
Nothing specific happened to cause one rear reverse light to not work anymore. Changed light bulb and checked spark plugs nothing has fixed the issue. There is also an airbag recall I need taken care of.
On March 12, 2022 the supplemental air bag warning light came on in my vehicle. Nothing new has happened. When I looked in my manual that came with the vehicle it stated it needed servicing. It is flashing intermittently. If not checked and repaired it may not function properly. I have not received any recall on this issue, however, this appears to be a manufacturer issue.

My husband and I were in 2 front end collisions in my 2017 Nissan Armada and were going at least 50+ mph when someone pulled out in front of us and we t-boned a full size pick up truck. The airbags failed to deploy both times which is extremely alarming to me. We both made it out okay but have severe back and leg pain and constant headaches. We were lucky. It could have been much worse but if airbags would have deployed, it wouldn’t have been so bad. This needs to be addressed ASAP.
I was driving a rented 2021 Nissan Armada. The brakes of this vehicle locked up when I was trying to avoid rear ending a car that had suddenly jumped in front of me. Instead of being able to control the braking, once I put the brake on, I tried to let up a little to see if I could stop the vehicle from skidding. However once I put my foot down on the brake it continued to stay depressed. I noticed that the vehicle was sliding and the steering wheel was also locked. I couldn't swerve to the left or right. I hit the van in front of me, the air bags deployed--driver's side air bag broke open and let out noxious gas. I have never driven a vehicle with such aeb troubles. If this is how the 2021 Nissan Armada acts, then other will find themselves not being able to avoid an accident as well. - cheryl d. , frederick, MD, us.

Drivers seat won't move forward or back. All other seat functions work plan to have the Nissan dealership fine out what the problem is. . Heated seat will not work. Appeared to me to be a fuse, replaced the fuse. Works for about a minute, then the fuse blow air bag light blinking. I also plan to have it look at. Could use financial assistance with the these repair cost.

My wife was forced off the highway after dropping our 5 children at camp. She was forced off the highway and she hit a large tree at 50+mph. She did have her seatbelt on, but all of her airbags failed to deploy. She has suffered multiple injuries to include whiplash, strained muscles, neurological compromised with burning, tingling into her upper extremities, headaches, and multiple other injuries. The vehicle was inspected and declared a total loss by usaa our insurance provider. The vehicle has also been inspected by Nissan motor corporation on 8/25/21. We have not received any feedback or report regarding their inspection to date. This vehicle was purchased new by us in 09/17, it has been serviced by our dealership since it was purchased, it did not have any warning lights or other symptoms of maintenance problems or failures prior to the accident. We have all the service records to attest to the maintenance status of the vehicle.
The contact owned a 2005 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, his steering wheel was locked without warning. Due to the failure, the contact veered off the road and hit two parked vehicles. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact stated that a little girl was standing near one of the parked vehicles and was knocked into a tree and was airlifted to a child trauma center. The contact stated that from his knowledge, the girl was only treated for cuts and bruises. The contact stated that he was knocked out for a few minutes after impact but refused medical attention at the scene. He later went to the hospital and was treated for a concussion and whiplash. The contact stated that he believed that a police report was filed but was not certain. The vehicle was towed from the scene to an independent tow yard where it was deemed a total loss. The dealer nor the manufacturer have been notified of the failure. The vehicle had been destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 215,000.
I bought my vehicle in 2010 brand new I did not have the vehicle less the 5 years when the volume on the sterring wheel stopped working , then my horn stopped working and someone backen into me, my cruise control does not work sometimes the wheel locks on me turning then the airbag light pop on and they wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars to fix to and sometimes when I start the vehicle it will not turn over I have to pull the keyout and try it that way.
The airbag light has been on for a while indicating that there is a defect in the airbags . The brakes light comes on randomly and the car brakes on its own without me applying the brakes and that is very dangerous especially on the highway and the transmission light comes on showing the 4x4 light as on for no reason and I would have it on just the 2 wheels.
The airbag light on the dash started blinking in 12/2020 and was repaired under warranty in 1/2021. Was diagnosed as passenger curtain airbag. Airbag light started blinking again in April/may 2022. Diagnosed again as passenger curtain airbag. Repaired in August 2022, at a cost to me of $2800+. Picked car up on September 3, 2022. Airbag light came back on on the 6th after my daughter exited the passenger seat. Dropped car off on the 7th and it has been at the dealership ever since. Now they want me to pay $2600+ to have the wiring harness replaced. I have reported the issue to Nissan and the dealership has been working with Nissan. I have already paid to have this safety issue repaired. So far Nissan or the dealership has not agreed to pay. This is a safety issue. This is not a luxury item or an add on. I don’t feel safe having a passenger in the front seat. This is a known issue with this model. Even the dealer agreed. Nissan does not know how to fix it. They keep doing high cost repairs at a cost to the consumer which is not right.
I was driving to work on the morning of 11/17/2020, when I hit a deer with a front of my SUV. The front end of my SUV was severely damaged which caused the airbag to deploy, when the airbag deployed I thought it may have burnt me instead it was emblem retaining ring from the inside of the steering wheel that holds the plastic advertisement / emblem of the vehicle come out and cut / impaled me across the neck. Which led me to going to the er in the back of an ambulance. When I got to the er the doctor on call said if it would have been an inch over it would have cut the main culinary artery which I would have bled to death. At the er I received x-rays and stitches now I'm left with a scar.
My wife was killed in a head on collision. Died from blunt force trauma to the chest. The steering wheel was bent.
Airbag flashing all the takata recall needs to be done.
