36 Air Bag problem of the 2016 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 12/17/2018

A few days ago I was driving my Nissan Armada and noticed a light on the dash. Google it and says that the airbags/seatbelts are not working properly. The light just came on and off and some times nothing happened but sometimes the lights come on just for no reason like after stopping at the gas station or early in the morning. And another day the break just stop working and I have to pump it up to get it back to work even though I have new break pads on it. So at rhis point im just trying to sell it although the engine works fine, im scared the bags may explode on me or hit someone because the brakes don't work.

My Nissan Armada caught fire. My front driver seat got very hot to the point of burning. Pulled over to get an application for my child's daycare. Pulled my son or to go with me and left my daughter in the car watching a movie while I went in by the time I reached the door I hear my kids yelling. I turned and looked the car was filed with smoke. Thank god for good hearted people that help me get the kid's out the car. I'm contacting a lawyer about this.

39 Air Bag problem of the 2010 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 09/01/2017

Priority Nissan Mazda sold a 2010 Nissan Armada with an incorrect occupant classification system (OCS) electronic control unit (ecu) and refused to repair the safety defect. The incorrect ecu and seat combination may misclassify the front passenger seat occupant and will cause the airbag to malfunction during a crash. If the front passenger seat occupant is misclassified, the air bag may deploy incorrectly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury. According to priority Nissan Mazda of vienna va, the dealership found codes stored b1017 OCS control - needs passenger seat assembly to replace OCS unit. Nissan has previous safety recalls for the same type of issue with all other years and models. I am afraid to drive this vehicle with my children as it is unsafe.

42 Air Bag problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 12/01/2015

The electrical systems on the steering wheel do not work. I was informed this is due to a bad clock spring. Among the systems that do not work (radio controls, cruise control) the air bag system is not working (lights on). I wonder why there is no recall for this when one of the most important security features of the vehicle is not working.

43 Air Bag problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 10/05/2015

Original odi #10745373 - 11/19/2010 still unresolved. Review of nc dmv - 340 (rev. 3/2001) with insurance company, insurance affiliated collision repair shop and Nissan of north America confirmed acknowledgment of rotor/ brake damage during repairs. The collision repair shop and (Nissan)modern service mgr. Both internally notated the issue until the claim was confirmed by a Nissan service tech (5936) on 12/21/2010 during a collision re-inspection. Front/ rear brake pad replacement has not resolved the rotor issue confirmed during 2010 repairs. Brake pads were not worn to require replacement during inspections to address concerns. The Nissan edr issue has remained unaddressed by the insurance company while Nissan has provided all warranty/ recall services for the vehicle from 2006 to the present. Geico has provided a guarantee of all losses related to collision on 12/07/2010.

44 Air Bag problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 08/03/2015

I now have $450. 00 auto repair bill because of a defective airbag that will not inflate if I were to have an accident. I also own a 2003 Nissan pathfinder that had a recall issued for an airbag problem. Very disappointed the Armada was not part of a recall.

45 Air Bag problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 07/23/2014

I was driving my 06 Nissan Armada around 45mph when a deer ran out into the road I swerved and tried to apply the brakes but like a few times before the brakes failed to work but this time I didn't have plenty of time and room to coast to a stop and shut off the engine and restart it for the brakes to work properly well having no brakes I lost control of the vehicle hitting multiple trees totaling my Armada lucky I was wearing my seat belt because none of the airbags deployed with a impact so hard it broke my collarbone where the seatbelt was I also have a head and back injury can someone please explain to me why nothing has been done about Nissan selling its customers vehicles with defective brakes and airbags and they choose to do nothing about the many many people who are complaining about the same exact problems.

46 Air Bag problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 04/13/2014

I was traveling over the 285 spaghetti junction bridge when a crashing sound like a gun shot disrupted my drive. I gripped the stirring wheel and was able to pull over to the side. Catching my barrens, we realized that the side "curtain" airbags deployed. There was not an accident, no one hit us and we did not hit anyone so we were not sure on how or why the airbags deployed. We contacted Nissan headquarters and they are not willing to assist us stating that because of the milage and year of the vehicle there is nothing they can do. It is really upsetting that they are not considering the incident could have been deadly if the airbags deployed in the front and blinded my visibility. Instead Nissan will not give us a reason for the deployment or even check out the vehicle as it sits at the Nissan Infiniti dealership. We have contacted our insurance company, better business bureau and no one is willing to assist or be accountable. Our hands are tied locked in a car payment that we are not even able to drive.

47 Air Bag problem of the 2008 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 12/21/2012

I just bought a used 2008 Nissan Armada le (48000miles) with tow package and hooked up to my small enclosed trailer (1800 gwr). I went into my house for less than 5 minutes and when I returned to the truck I saw it was completely bottomed out in the rear. I started the truck and the compressor came on and auto leveled out, but within 15 minutes of driving it was completely flat and caused severe handling issues. This is very dangerous and could lead to an accident. After doing some research online I saw that this is extremely common and Nissan has a service bulletin out but will not recall there faulty air lines that run from the compressor to the rear air bags. People all over have been shocked at Nissan's failure to address the problem and not finding a permanent fix. I have seen people with brand new models claim the have had the whole system replaced multiple times and the leak still re-occurs leading to the air bag failure. This is what the lemon laws were written for so I hope someone pursued it. I hope writing this helps all owners get this problem resolved and I urge anyone that owns a Nissan Armada to look and listen for the compressor running. It's not too obvious of a problem until you attempt to tow but you will see the rear sagging and the compressor turning on frequently. . Read more...

50 Air Bag problem of the 2005 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 05/31/2011

My 2005 Nissan Armada has experienced an airbag system failure due to 'connector' issues affecting both the driver's and passenger's side seats. Nissan is aware of this defect and has even issued technical service bulletin ntb06-001 regarding the defect. Nissan is failling to stand behind their product, despite the fact that it is a safety related defect which renders the airbags inoperable. As a result I am having to pay out-of-pocket $650 for repairs.

51 Air Bag problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 11/19/2010

52 Air Bag problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 11/19/2010

Original complaints filed July 31st and October 22, 2015, respectively. A response has been received from the insurance company regarding their decision of supplemental repairs, odi #10745373 and #10781329, as it relates to the vehicle safety determination after the collision loss in November 2010. I forwarded the dmv-349 and additional documents by mail to the NHTSA address provided previously.

53 Air Bag problem of the 2006 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 04/01/2009

Abs system causes brakes to think they have gone out. Stops if I turn car off and restart. Also another item: seat belts light flashes constantly even though all seat belts are fastened. I understand this interfers with the airbag deployment.

54 Air Bag problem of the 2004 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 11/15/2008

The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Armada. While driving approximately 25 mph, the air bags suddenly deployed without an impact or crash. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they kept it for three weeks. At the end of the three weeks, he received a recall notice from the dealer stating that the computer that diagnosed the vehicle indicated that it had been in a rollover crash. The contact took the vehicle back and called the insurance company. They inspected the vehicle and stated that the air bag defect had been a manufacturer issue and was not due to a rollover crash. The failure has not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were 55,532.

55 Air Bag problem of the 2008 Nissan Armada

Failure Date: 11/05/2008

I have a 2008 Nissan Armada, bought it new and my wife use to tell me that the brakes would grind and the brake light would go on, I use to think she was crazy, now that I drive the car my self I knew she was right, when we step on the brake petal the brakes start grinding and the brake comes on we have 3 children and is pretty scary when we try to stop and completely loose brake power, when my wife first told me I took it to the dealer and they couldn't check for the problem since it had to be doing it when I took it well then it didn't do it often, then I took it one time while it was doing it and the dealer told me that they new exactly what it was but couldn't do anything about it since I was out off warranty. I think is ridiculous that the manufacturer knows exactly what the problem is but they won't do nothing about it since their is no recall, I think NHTSA needs to step in and issue a recall as we know their is a lot of people who have the same problem, I have 3 children and a wife and don't us to be the next victim of an accident. Is not like we paid pennies for this car, hope you guys can do something about it before someone gets hurt or worse loose a love one.

Failure Date: 05/20/2008

2005 Nissan Armada le, 56k miles multiple electrical issues resulting in loss of critical functions: braking system, air bags, electrical power all while the vehicle is being driven. Have taken to dealership 8 times for repairs related to electrical problems. Most recently, loss of brakes occurred while traveling on a major road @ 50 mph; lost brake function when approached stop light. This has happened multiple times, I have reported it to the dealer 4 times. Each time the code is "cleared" but nothing is done. This time they are replacing the abs booster, but from reading posts of other owners, the problem recurs. Dealer refuses to report problem to Nissan.
