Battery Problems of Nissan Armada

Need to replace a battery in a 2008 Nissan Armada. Why would a manufacturer install a battery that last only 1-2 years in a brand new vehicle? why does the warranty not include vehicles with more than 36k miles but less than 2 years in the vehicle?.

The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Armada. The contact stated the keyless entry malfunctions causing the vehicle to lose power. The dealer replaced the battery in the keyless entry remote but that did not remedy the issue. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and the dealer can not find what is causing the vehicle to lose power. The contact stated the vehicle is unsafe and could leave him stranded in the cold. The failure mileage was 40,000.

2007 Nissan Armada. Consumer states vehicle broke down due to a factory defect faulty fuel gauge the consumer stated ever since the vehicle broke down, it intermittently emits a tremendous amount of black smoke after starting it. When the consumer returned to pick up the vehicle for a third time, he was informed the engine was damaged to lack of oil changes. The consumer stated he has proof the oil was changed on a regular basis. Also, the tire pressure monitoring light illuminated, but no leaks were found and the battery had to be replaced.

I was driving my '05 Nissan Armada (27,000 miles) with my 2 yr old son and smelled a strong odor, thinking it was from a truck driving next to me. I picked up my daughter, put both children in their car seats and started the ignition. Two puffs of smoke came out on either side of the engine. I quickly unbuckled my children, ran them into the school and smoke started billowing out of the engine. The fire dept was called & school was evacuated. Within 15 min, the engine area was engulfed in flames. The vehicle was a total loss. I had multiple problems with the battery. Nissan has refused to assist me in any way.
