2019 Nissan was purchased Aug 2020 from vallejo Nissan(CA). October 20' the Armada wouldn't start, I took it to the tracy Nissan dealership as I have the Nissan plus extended warranty. Tech said it was the battery which was not covered. I purchased a new battery with max cranking amps. Jan 28, 2021 I took the car back to dealership as it failed to start again(#2). Nissan tech said the negative battery terminal cable was loose. Feb 3, 2021 I took the car back to tracy Nissan as it failed to start (#3). Nissan tech replaced the stop lamp switch which he stated was the reason why the Armada wouldn't start. Feb 20th, Armada again would not start (#4). Took it to dealer Feb 22nd and was told a few days later(Feb 27th) that a Nissan regional technician was contacted and they had to update the "rapid charge" system in the Armada and they were "pretty sure" the problem has been repaired. My wife arrived at Nissan on Feb 27th and Armada again, would not start(#5). This was while it was still in the Nissan dealer lot. March 1st I was contacted by Nissan tech who stated my battery has low cranking amps due to the update they had to do to the rapid charge system and asked me to replace the battery. . . Again! four of the five times the vehicle wouldn't start it was parked in my driveway, the fifth time it was parked at the dealership.

Several times the engine will not crank and will not start. Can take up to 10 minutes sometimes before vehicle will start, leaving driver stranded. Twice now the bci malfunction (backup collision intervention) error came up on the dash along with other lights immediatly after engine startup. First time at 23,027 miles, and now recently at 32,081 miles. The first time, dealership said they "could not replicate the problem. " this recent time, the dealership said there was a service bulletin to replace a stop lamp switch (ntb20-065). We'll see if the problem is actually fixed. This should really be a recall considering the shear number of similar complaints about this issue. Plus the brake lamps may not work consistently, elevating the risk of a collision if other drivers aren't aware the vehicle is slowing down.
On January 4th, 2020 when we went to start the car, all the lights flickered and the seats rattled from electrical pulses. The car did not start at all. We have had this happen 20+ times. Sometimes when we jump the car, it will start. The dealership has replaced the battery 4 times. It is clearly not the battery. Nissan never has an answer.
Yesterday I was sitting in a drivethru and all of a sudden the bci warning light came on the dash and a couple of other dash lights. Drove straight home and now the vehicle will not start. I will have to get a tow to the nearest dealer. Good thing I drove straight home otherwise I would have been stranded somewhere. My Armada only has 38,000 miles on it.
On somewhat random occasions the vehicle will not start, in total over 13 separate occasions. At times it will start after 5 or 6 attempts sometimes 20 attempts. On the last 5 occasions it would not start until a battery charger or other battery was used. I have used the last occasion for date of occurrence. Had it to the dealership 3 times and they cannot duplicate. It is a random occurrence sometimes after a week and sometimes after a couple of months. The last time in November I had to jump start it 4 times before I could get it to the dealer and they could not duplicate it. The vehicle is unreliable. The regional rep is now working with me and having me take it to the dealership one more time to check it again.
During normal driving, bci light will appear and then all dash warning lights and car will handle sluggishly. Upon stopping and attempting to restart car, vehicle will not start for upwards of 30 minutes. Once vehicle is in park and vehicle is restarted. . . Gear shift cannot be moved from park to drive. This has endangered my family by occuring at traffic lights at busy intersections and unprotected railroad crossings. Please investigate this before someone is killed because of this defect.

Went to start my vehicle and everything but the engine would start. Tried for several minutes, locked, unlocked car then left it alone for 5 minutes and it finally started. Then, less than a week later, while I was driving, the bci malfunction warning and a bunch of other lights came on and car slowed down significantly. Had to pull over, look up this warning and follow directions others who had this same issue did. I turned vehicle off, waited a minut and turned it back on. Warning cleares. The next morning my car wouldn't start. Had to swap cars with husband so I could get to work. This morning I tried to start it again and it wouldn't start. I've now been waiting 3 hrs for a tow truck to get vehicle. Vehicle has less than 40k miles and is a 2017 model.

Dead battery under normal usage. The vehicle started as normal from home. I parked iit after 30 minutes driving. After two hours back at the parking lot the Armada would not start. I had to jump start it.
7/25/2020 Nissan Armada platinum reserve - while driving down the canyon, I had the brakes start applying themselves then all the lights on the dash came on with a message "bci malfunction. " we were able to get pulled over safely and turn the car off. We then restarted the car and the light came on again, so we repeated the steps and the light went off. At our next stop, the car would not start no matter how many times we tried from the normal push button start. We were finally able to get it start by using remote start on the key fob. This is a major safety concern that is an ongoing issue with Nissan Armadas and infinity qx models, based on multiple forums online. This should be addressed immediately before someone get severely injured or even killed. 60k vehicle with 40k miles on it.
I went out to my vehicle which unlocked with my pod I went to start it and all the dash board lights came on but the vehicle would not start. I jumped the battery and it started instantly so I took the vehicle to an auto store to check the battery which they stated was a great battery with a high charge. I have looked online to see that many people are having a problem with their Armada starting at times and have to do many things to get it to start. I have also heard after purchasing this vehicle that others around me are having the same problem as well. I never know if it will start when I get in which is a major problem. This occured as the vehicle was stationary in a parking lot.
Vehicle will not start properly. The plugs under the brake pad are faulty.
Bci malfunction message displayed on the dash along with other indicators. Vehicle wouldn't start. Service department suggested to continue to press the brake and push start button while I waited for road side assistance tow. After about 15 min the vehicle started. Minutes later the vehicle was on but would not move out of park. Continued to attempt while waiting for tow again and it eventually went out of park. The next day it would not start again and eventually did. Dropped off at dealer for service. Picked up that afternoon and was told they replaced the brake switch. I drove less than a mile away and the bci malfunction message came on again and displayed other warning lights again as well. I was back at the dealership within 5 minutes of departing and placed in the same small loaner vehicle that did not fit my family. Picked it up my Armada the next day around noon and was told they now replaced the brake sensor. Drove off and made one stop on my way back to work which is 4 miles from the dealership and before I made it there the bci malfunction light came on again. After much conversation and frustration the vehicle is back at the dealership for the 4th time for the same problem. I purchased the vehicle new June 13, 2019 and the problems started sept 4th 2019.

The engine turned on, however, upon entry when the owner pressed the start and placed foot on the brake, the vehicle shut off. The vehicle was then towed to the dealership where repairs were made to a stop sensor, however, the vehicle is still hesitating.
