My daughter backed out of our driveway, put the truck in reverse. She was then unable to put the truck into drive. It got stuck in the middle of the street. Thankfully we live on a quite street with not much traffic during the day. However if this happened in a parking lot it would have been much different. My husband was able to come home from work and manually push it forward, then drove it backwards into a parking spot (out of the middle of the street). He did an internet search and found a solution. Apparently one of the screws holding the gear shifter (park,neutral,reverse,drive. . . ) came loose and was getting hung up on the plastic molding portion of the gear box. It was a simple fix - just pop open the cover and screw the part back in. However this was a terrible thing to happen, and could have really been a much bigger issue than it was. Had it happened in a busy parking lot, busy street, or on a boat ramp. . . . It would have been disastrous. Please consider sending a written notice to all owners. Thank you.

Infotainment center which includes rear camera view. Sometimes up to a one minute delay in the system turning on. The dealer has updated the system several times. It may help for awhile but the problem always returns.

I am unsure which components, but have had more than 1 issue with this vehicle. First, was the scariest. Iwas backing out of driveway onto the roadway, and the back up alarm went of and brakes locked up as the onward traffic was coming towards me. I was barely able to move in time. There was no cars or pedestrians near the back of truck to even set it off. Still scared to back it up for fear of not being lucky enough the next time it happens. Computer system issue?? while driving, seatbelt alarm goes off 60% of time while I am wearing mine and only one in vehicle. I tried getting video of this issue since it does not happen consistently. The other issue, while driving, all the lights on dash came on and it flashed 2 different messages about the system failure. This truck is 3 months old and I am scared to drive it!! just want to see if there have been any other people with similar experience in their Nissan.

The truck is giving false data for gas mileage the truck is reading a lot higher gas mileage than I'm actually receiving my truck on average gets 15 miles a gallon but the truck itself states is getting 19 to 20mpg. The truck started receiving poor gas mileage after they did the tcm update to the truck in October 2022. I have an app that tracks my gas mileage and it shows the truck getting a lot less mpg than what the computer on the truck indicates. On average there's about a 4 to 5 mile per gallon deviation from reality versus with the truck indicates. The truck used to get 18 to 20 miles per gallon when I 1st purchased it in may but after the tcm update in October it no longer even gets close to 17 miles a gallon which indicates on the sticker. Full disclosure I drive 95% in the city only. Transmission shifting issues. When I drive the transmission lags has weird shifting characteristics when the transmission is cold I was able to reproduce this on a brand new Nissan Frontier that had the tcm update. The truck has a slipping issue of not wanting to go under its own power when driving from a stop sign or stop light the truck acts like it doesn't want to move when you give it fuel. Talking with the service adviser at Nissan dealership I am not the 1st person to complain about this issue. All the problems that I am discussing happened after the tcm update. I've tried calling Nissan directly and I get nowhere but the run around no one wants to take responsibility for the update issue and I've even had a long conversation with their specialist who took my vehicle out and proving to them that I was getting poor gas mileage and weird shifting characteristics and still they have yet to resolve my issue or offer a solution to my issue.

I tried to call the Nissan consumer affairs number in the NHTSA notice and I was disconnected multiple times ; they do not answer ; I then called the dealership service center at Nissan port chester in NY and they said they "are restricted by the manufacturer" and cannot address the safety issue since we and Nissan are on notice of a safety defect and a risk of accident and injury this is not a responsible posture . I intend to make this public so I would ask that nhsta take appropriate action to cause Nissan to take corrective action without delay . Any delay creates risk of injury please advise what you intend to do thank you.

So Nissan is using hankook tires that hankook says is good for 70,000 miles. But on the new Frontier mine in 10 months and 11,000 miles have wore to 4/32nd to 5/32nds in spots and Nissan and hankook says they won't warranty tires sold on new vehicles. So I'm supposed to just spend another $1,000 on new tires for my new truck.

Vehicle has repeatedly automatically applied the brakes when using cruise control at highway speeds. It happens when going under an underpass that is casting a strong shadow. First time it happened I reported it to Nissan USA. They told me to take it to the dealership. I did and they found nothing wrong. Next time it happened they said they'd have a regional consumer affairs person call me. They did, but in so many words they told me "tough. ".

Can not shift vehicle from park, am being told it is the shifter assembly. The vehicle only has 54,000 miles on it. Have to insert blunt object into shift lock relay to be able to shift out of park.

Vehicle is a new 2022 Nissan prox4. Purchase date 12/13/21. No issues until February 6 (3100miles). Car was serviced 2/4/22 for initial oil change and all systems were “green light” on routine diagnostic test at time of oil change per dealer. Now various (abs, engine light, various warning lights) appear while driving and when engine restarted they disappear, only to reappear again intermittently. I suspect an electronic problem or computer malfunction. This is a safety issue due to driver distraction. I have been told by others (facebook group) that they have had similar electronic issues with this 2022 Nissan pro 4 x vehicle that have not been resolved.

In December 2021, I purchased a 2022 Nissan Frontier pro-x. The vehicle comes with built-in navigation that, according to their website, should receive map updates quarterly. Since purchasing the vehicle, brand new, there have been no updates to the navigation system nor maps. I have gone back and forth with Nissan support and the dealership only to be told there are no updates. The maps are severely out of date, making a feature that many people rely on useless. Therefore, we are not getting full value of what we are paying for. This is a complaint for numerous Nissan owners as I've found in message board forums. Nissan is not addressing the problem and will not return my messages or address my concern directly.

There are 3 incidents thus far. ***I have video confirmation of these incidents*** first, I had parked my vehicle at a gas pump, put my vehicle in park, and locked the vehicle. Apparently, as I walked away, my vehicle had slowly rolled backwards more than 15 feet until it hit the curb. I noticed the vehicle moved from the location I had parked my vehicle when I came back to the vehicle and didn't notice my vehicle where I had remembered leaving the vehicle. I inspected my vehicle and no damage and the vehicle shift was in the park position. After I realized what had happened I went back in to the store and asked the manager to show me the camera footage to see what had happened. I recorded the surveillance video as proof. Second, I was arriving at a brother's house and parked my vehicle, put my vehicle in the park position and when I shut the vehicle off the vehicle rolled forward approximately 3 feet. Third, I was arriving at a family member's house. I parked the vehicle, put the vehicle in the park position. When I shut the vehicle off, the vehicle started rolling forward. As I noticed immediately what had happened, I ran in front of the vehicle to stop the vehicle from rolling any further to which I started pushing the vehicle backwards. At about 10 feet of pushing the vehicle backwards, I eventually heard a click sound rendering the vehicle locked in the park position. *****I have video confirmation of my locked and parked vehicle rolling back while I stepped away at the gas pump*****.

The speed control sensor is located in the rear driveshaft passenger side. During a left turn at less than 30-miles and less than 600-miles in the odometer, the speed sensor failed to cause the abs system, tire pressure, and other sensors to fail as well. The dealer technician determined the rear driveshaft was either damaged at the assembly line or had a defective speed sensor from the factory. There were no other warnings, messages, or symptoms prior to this failure.

Have gone to Nissan for excessive rattle noise in passenger footwell would sound louder as I gave it gas they concluded that the heater core bracket was loose and tighten but sound did no go away took it in again heater core bracket not good would need to replace so had to take it in third time for same heater core issue eventually they replaced heater core but still have problems with the air was taken to Nissan over 7 times for climate problems. It was not equal driver side blew hotter than the that passenger side eventually it stop blowing air through front vents only the defrost vent works seat adjusting bracket did not lock in place when coming to a stop the passenger seat would slide forward defective Nissan replaced --few month later passenger seatbelt tensioner went bad check engine error code took it to Nissan was replaced by Nissan Nissan service mechanics driving car with defective seatbelt that no issue until part came in same with bracket I had to take them on a ride they kept saying they cant recreate problem as far as climate its been a heat wave over 98 degrees outside and I'm having to drive in a hot car these problems have been since first day I drove car home I've been to service center over 12 times don't feel safe with vehicle I have spoken to Nissan arbitration dept enter jessica willis car currently has no air and they are aware of my situation and the heat wave that im having to deal with.

Purchased 4 new general grabber hts tires size 25/75r15 less than 4 months ago. Tires were installed at a reputable dealership. I now have 2,600 miles on the tires. Last week the first tire blew out at the bead, where the tire meets the rim. I installed my full size spare while the first failure is investigated. Now two days later, a second tire is severely deformed at the tire bead and looks like it is about to explode just like the first one. Both failures are right under the �ge� in general at the tire bead. I believe these tires are completely defective, they are a danger to anyone that has them installed on their vehicle and a danger to the public. The first tire failed while driving at 55mph on a flat, straight, smooth road. The second tire has not completely failed, but there is a large bulge or bubble in the tire where it meets the rim, it looks like it could fail at any moment and is not safe to drive. The paint above the front wheel well on both the passenger and drivers side of my 2012 Nissan Frontier (blue) with 69,0000 miles is pealing off in chunks. If do an internet search on �paint flaking Nissan Frontier� you can see numerous pictures. Talking with the dealer, prevalent issue on dark colored Frontiers (blue is especially prevalent. Clearly a factory defect as the paint is not adhering to the primer. Talked to Nissan consumer support and they basically say it is out of warranty so good luck with repair. Clearly this is a manufacturing defect that should not happen. Not a safety issue, but poor customer support. Has it been fixed? my expectation is there should have been some cost share for this repair.

Fumes and oder entering cabin extreme at times get dizzy driving when fumes enter the cabin I have to pullover. To the side of the road return to dealer prolblem unresolved was told to change cabin filter change problem persist until today. Vehicle bought new . Proplem is while driving and in traffic behind any vehicle .

Coolant and transmission lines cross contaminated I found out when my car just stopped turning on so I took it to the dealer and they said I need to change radiator and transmission for close to 6000 dollars because the fluids cross contaminated due to a failure in the radiator. My vehicle has only 60800 miles but is out of warranty due to age and this isn't right.

2006 Nissan Frontier transmission failing due to engine coolant and transmission fluid mixing. Truck started jerking at times just cruising usually between 40 and 50 mph then worse. Coolant reservoir and radiator was noticed in components. Took it to dealership and gave me a price of 5300 to replace radiator and transmission and flush all systems. I had been reading reviews on these models and was hoping this wasn't the issue on mine. As soon as I noticed the fluid contamination I was sick. Had no idea of this problem. Alot of reviews say steer clear of these vehicles. This Frontier is my 3rd owned Nissan vehicle. Never again!!!!!!!!.

The vehicle would randomly stall while driving, particularly when slowing for a traffic signal. The engine stopping would cause all power assisted functions to cease making it difficult to steer and brake. Most recently the vehicle would start extreme hesitation while driving and I could not get up to the posted speed limit of 55 mph. I had to use my flashers to warn other drivers that my speed was only approximately 35 mph. Also the transmission had difficulty shifting. This was extremely dangerous on a 2 lane highway where vehicles rapidly approached from the rear. It wouldn't negotiate a large hii (lack of power) and I had to have it towed to my home. The antifreeze and transmission fluid got mixed together in my truck and I am now told that the manufacturer knew that the truck would at least give me 100,000 miles before that would actually happen.

The front crash zone sensor is in need of replacement, the previous model years have already been recalled and had this fixed via a recall the exact same problem has happened with my 2013 Nissan Frontier.

Just bought a 2018 Nissan Frontier was driving home from work put windows down in the back and I'm hearing a sound coming from tires like unbalanced. Got home and look to see if there was tire weights on the rim because its like its unbalanced with a loud sound and I noticed also that a swaying a little. And I remember the this website was getting recalls on tires. So I wanted to see if mine was on the list which is p265\60\r18 109t. This is on regular city roads. Emailed my sales man that sold me the truck and told him I was having a problem like a shimmy in rear tire. So we will see maybe this weekend if they get back to me today is 2/25/2020.

Trouble with the rear view camera giving false readings.

Seat belt light stays flashing, tire light stays flashing, service engine light stay on even after dealer reset.

This truck is a 2018 Nissan Frontier that has ~10k miles and is driven daily. In the evenings it is kept outside. Recently, a horrible odor began coming from the ventilation system. I immediately started dismantling the passenger dash, removed the cabin air filters, and discovered a dead mother rat and 4 offspring in the compartment above the filters. If I had not been able to find the problem, the truck would have been completely unusable. How were they able to gain entry? I am guessing through some fresh air intake that is obviously open to the exterior. Nissan needs to add a very simple wire mesh cover to the offending entrance. To allow access to a fully grown rat, it is assuredly 2-3" in diameter! thankfully, I was able to catch the problem. However, it is summer, high temperatures, and had the truck been left unattended for several days, the resulting odor may have never been remediated. My concern is, if I can't find and cover the opening, this could happen again.

While replacing the truck bed for rust we discovered the frame is rusted almost in half in multiple spots. Frame was not sprayed to prevent rust. Spayed to prevent rust in the pictures was done by us.

My vehicle was burglarized. The thieves got in through the rear sliding glass. The latch does not lock and is faulty. If the latch was fully functional, nobody would have gone in and stolen everything I owned.

The air bag warning light has been flashing on my instrument panel since spring of 2019. Brought to a couple different places and they can't clear the code. Says no air bag detected. I haven't fixed it yet. . . Cuz I ain't got the money. The vehicle was in motion on highway when light came on. There is no varying of light. . . Stays on continually.
