My 2011 Nissan Juke has approximately 118,000 miles and I've ran out of gas several times even when it said there was 88 miles left in the tank and the traction control light won't go off it stays on constantly along with the check engine light and tire pressure warning light and its making a squealing noise and its losing power I've only had it a year I know they have been recalled for certain reasons but I'm not sure if this car has been fixed or not I can't afford to get it fixed due to health and medical bills including hospital bills from when my wife passed away I'm finding several issues people have had with the Jukes why isnt Nissan extending the recalls because for people who buy them from private people dont know if the car has been recalled or fixed its very unsafe I've lost power while driving at 45 miles an hour because it ran out of gas even when it displayed 88 miles left my car needs fixed and its expensive I had to replace the ball joint and was told it was going to be almost 700$ or it wouldn't pass inspection this car has turned into a money pit I can't even resell it I need help getting it fixed please.

Vehicle continues to rev engine high upon starting. Causing service engine light & traction control warning light to turn on. Does so after sitting. No one has been able to diagnose. Once codes are cleared, light do not go back in for days/weeks. Little acceleration will occurs. Engine seems to over heat in hotter weather. This was after sitting in park for a min. Of 3 hours. Never after driving.
The timing chain rattled, wearing a hole in the timing cover causing oil leak. After driving my car and parking it, all of the oil leaked out on to the ground. When trying to drive the car, even before the oil leak, the car would completely shut off whenever I would slow down, including in the middle of intersections. After taking it to a mechanic, they told me that the timing chain had worn a hole in the timing cover, and a Nissan dealership service shop told me that I would need to get the engine replaced. Even before all of the oil leaked out, I was put in great danger not knowing when my car would shut off when driving it and slowing down. At one point, the service engine soon light came on, but it went away and the car drove like normal for a period before the oil leaked out. I was never informed about any recalls or service notices when I bought the car or when getting it routinely serviced.
While driving, the turbo on the vehicle failed and caused the engine to fail, including sudden loss of an ability to accelerate. Smoke began coming from the hood in addition to horrendous sounds. There were no warning lights on my dashboard but I had begun to hear a high pitched, unusual sound. My safety and my passengers, as well as other drivers on the road were at risk due to traveling on a highway and the sudden inability to maintain speed. The dealer has confirmed the problem and multiple auto shops have confirmed this is a known problem with the vehicle year, make, and model. The car is low mileage (just over 63,000) and all have informed me that the mechanical failure is a manufacturing problem and of no fault of my own. The dealership has declined to provide any assistance due to being out of warranty, which is not the question at hand - the question is the manufacturing failure. I do not have anything in writing but could obtain from both Nissan of richmond (dealership) and I have a case number with Nissan - #48625064.
Starting up, will die. Dies at stop lights. Battery is newer. Idles funny. Fob won't open door locks or only opens one lock.
Engine stoped on highway stalled also starting button sticky.
The contact owned a 2016 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that his wife had previously driven the vehicle and parked it. Approximately five minutes later, a coworker informed her that the vehicle had caught fire. There were no previous warning indicator lights illuminated. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. A police report was filed. There were no reported injuries or air bag deployment. An unknown Tesla parked and unoccupied next to the Nissan sustained fire damage. The vehicle was towed to an independent tow lot. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified about the failure but no additional assistance was provided. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 100, 000.

Problem with evap system. Many different codes are showing which means paying an extreme amount of money to diagnose problem and repair. Could be solenoid issue with the turbo part. Cannot get my car smogged because of this. The need service light does not go off. I am going to have to spend thousands at the dealer. This should be a recall issue.
Timing chain: national consumers reported my vehicle replaced the timing chain in 2018 prior to my ownership. Now it has failed again to the tune of $3k at 88k miles. The Nissan dealership will only guarantee warranty for 1yr or 12k miles which seems sub par. How can a voluntary recall on the timing chain only be effective up to 2014 when obviously it seems to be a problem with the whole engine design. I will not drop $3k every 3-4 years to replace a part that should last longer than a belt or at the minimum of 120k miles if not the life of the car. I’m asking the national consumers hotline to open another recall on this lemon. The additional issues are the car not starting, after replacing 2 good batteries within 2 years, an independent mechanic replace a relay between the brake and the ignition and it has worked ever since. Crossing my fingers… also notable is the rinki-dink hood latch that quivers at high speeds. I often wonder when my hood will fly up into my windshield.
Car has just 45,000 miles on engine. Purchased new from pohanka Nissan in salisbury MD 2013. Now has turbo charger failure. Lost power suddenly on highway traveling 60 mph. Taken to Nissan dealer who states that a nut backed off of the fan in the turbo charger causing damage not only to the turbo charger, but to two of the engine cylinders. Seems unreasonable that this could occur in the absence of a mechanical error during construction of the car. No prior engine problems. Car is essentially totaled as repair will cost more than the car cost new.
2014 nisan Juke, 68,772 miles, makes high pitched noise and emits an acrid smell when going up steep mountain interstate highway, it then slows to a stop. No warning lights or high temp readings. Very dangerous to stop and stall on an major interstate. It seems to be a transmission problem. First time it happened, empire Nissan dealer said it was fine, changed the oil and sent me off. 2nd time, actual breakdown, took it to a local mechanic who said it is probably a lock up, as in code po774. Now at different dealer shomp, they are diagnosing and hopefully fixing it. There is a class action suit about this Juke, cvt litigation, Nissan appears to have extended the warranty.

However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The dealer informed her the recall was not in their db system and declined to repair it.
