Warning signs started with a hard shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd at 45k miles. Done regular transmission maintenance but problem remains the same. Later it started hard bang or jerk when shifting from drive to reverse or reverse to drive. At 112k miles it got worse and then knew reading online about faulty valve body problem in many 2004-2006 Maximas transmission. Repair cost is too high to even mention. Second problem is timing chain plastic tentioners. A what? yes plastic timing chain tentioners inside engine compartment. Problem started at 50k and continued as of today. Complained to dealer when car was under warranty and deler said my car is running awesome. Nissan later changed the design of plastic timing chain tentioner. But what about those who has faulty designed timing chain tentioners? responsible parties knows about these isses but refuses to acknowledge. Why there is no recall yet?.

Heated steering wheel sometimes reaches 119 degrees, way too hot. Nissan specs say 95 is max temp. I've measured it up to 119 degrees. Nissan has replaced the steering wheel, but didn't change anything. Nissan and the dealer say it meets Nissan specs, but they have never meassure it, and refuse to measure it, saying it meets specs ???? at 119 degrees I find it uncomfortably hot, and some people couldn't grasp it, which could lead to an accident. Dealer says another car on their lot gets real hot too, but again they refuse to measure it to either prove it in or out of specs. They are avoiding the safety issue, 119 is way too hot for a steering wheel.

When driving at 50 mph or more the vehicle starts to vibrate, and it is very hard to hold the steering wheel. Also, when applying the brakes the vehicle spinned around, causing the consumer to hit a metal wall.
Steering wheel noise.
