Loud Engine Noise Problems of Nissan Murano

I was driving down the highway. There were no warning lights on my dashboard aside from the tpms light. There was a loud pop noise, so I pulled over to check it out. Within 30 seconds smoke came from under the hood and quickly turned from white to black. Then the vehicle caught on fire. It was completely burned with nothing but the trunk left in tact.

As I was driving in traffic (approximately 35 mph), I applied the brakes at the stoplight and there was a sudden loud sound coming from the engine. When I applied the gas, there was no power, but the engine continued to rev up. With cars flying by me, this was terrifying for me and my granddaughters. I took it to the dealership and they misdiagnosed the problem, twice. Over the next few weeks, my Murano began to randomly skip/hesitate with standard rpm and extremely high rpm. The local Nissan dealership had my car for over a month, saying they had replaced the transmission. The only problem is the "problem " is there, still there. Also there is no guarantee/warranty on warranted work. I now have nothing. And scared to drive my car that it will fail in traffic.

While traveling vehicle began to make very loud noise and began to stall. Had to be towed to mechanic at which time it was determined the transfer case was cracked. As I researched this, I discovered numerous Murano owners with this issue. Vehicle only has 69,000 miles and the cost to repair $4000. 00!.

This vehicle is only four years old with only 84000 miles, while driving I heard a loud sound coming from under the vehicle. I took the vehicle in to five towns Nissan they told me that I have a big problem, my transfer case is not good. The transfer case, seal-oil and seal- oil ring would be $2750. 82. Labor and tax would be bring it to $4074. 33. Now we all know owners of this very cute vehicle that it has a factory defect and we need more people like myself to come forth so the would have no choice but to recall these vehicles.

Nissan Murano 2004 loud noise from engine took it and found out 2 engine mounts cracked. Had to replace cost about $700. Then car starts to jerk when pressing on gas pedal and cars stall while driving. Took it in to the dealer , dealer said it is the cam sensor and the crank sensor.
