1 Transmission Stuck In Gear problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2020

The Pathfinder was recalled due to transmission problems. When I heard about the settlement had been settled. So I called the company directly and found out that the Pathfinder had not ever been changed from the previous owner. So no one wanted to help me. So we had taken the Pathfinder in before I knew of the recall due to transmission leaking. Had purchased extended warranty they refused to repair the transmission. So last month I had to come up with money to have a transmission put in. Because it was stuck in park and drive. No take in consideration I had contacted Nissan directly and they refused to do anything and knew this year had just settled a civil lawsuit. So I need help with being reimbursed by Nissan. There was as if, it was stuck in low gear, high pitch sound when started, hesitated when leaving a stop light, difficult time picking up speed, constantly leaking transmission liquid, high pitch noice when was put in reverse and jerking as when it was on the high way trying to shift gears. Had a particular smell at times. Even called cvt about the problem. Everyone refused to replace the transmission. Was unable to attach the second page of the document. I can provide documentation when we first took in the Pathfinder with this problem.

2 Transmission Stuck In Gear problem

Failure Date: 03/11/2019

My 2013 Nissan Pathfinder gear shift gets stuck in the park position. It happens when the car is stationary and need to turn off the car and restart the car multiple times to get the gear shift out of park.

3 Transmission Stuck In Gear problem

Failure Date: 10/23/2013

I just filed a complaint last week regarding my air bag on my 2 month old Pathfinder and this week I had trouble with my transmission. Approximately one month ago when I was accelerating onto the highway my car seemed to get stuck in second gear and would not go above 30 mph. The rpms were going up to 7000 without any additional power. This only lasted for about 10 seconds. The dealer checked out the car and said that nothing was wrong with it and that it may have been a communication problem with the transmission. It happened again this week, again trying to merge onto a highway. The speed limit on the highway was 55 and my Pathfinder would not accelerate past 30-35 miles per hour for 1/4 to 1/2 mile. It is quite disconcerting when a tractor trailer rides up on your bumper going at least 55 miles an hour and you have no power to accelerate to get out of the way. Once again, no warning lights came on the dash so I am sure that when I take it back to the dealer next week they are going to once again tell me that nothing is wrong with the vehicle. Obviously this is a safety concern when the transmission can just stop responding like that. I don't know how Nissan can use the excuse "because it didn't trigger a internal warning with the computer, nothing is wrong. " clearly something is wrong and since Nissan really needs to address this issue.
