Car was on e with light on. Put $60 of gas in approx 16 gal. Car should have been full. Restarted car and gas gauge stayed on e. Turned car off, restarted multiple times. Gas gauge moved to 2 bars. Dealership disconnected battery and when reconnected gas gauge moved to full. Pushed button in rear tailgate to close tailgate door, front windows rolled up instead. Stopped @ stop sign and then went to accelerate. Car rpm's went up to 4. 5 then acted like I had taken my foot off the gas and dropped down to below 1 and shot back up to 4 and back down to 1, and then finally kicked into gear and went forward. Luckily no other cars around or could've caused accident. Dealer said they could look but unless I could duplicate above listed incidences they wouldn't be able to figure out what was wrong. Passenger sliding doors freeze shut in winter. Kids have to climb in through the front doors.

Between the dates of Feb 10-17, 2008; my 2004 Nissan Quest minivan began to experience some electrical issues. The tcs, slip, and abs lights came on in the dash and a humming noise was coming from my engine. I took my vehicle to the dealership (were I purchased it from), and as I pulled into the lot the lights went off (Feb 28). The service rep. Told me the information should be stored in my van's computer system. I paid $97. 40 for the dealership to hook my car up for a diagnostic check only to be told that abs system pump and module assembly needed to be replaced at a cost of $1790. The service rep also told me that what ever was causing the humming noise would be repaired. Only a temporary fix, because on my way back home the noise started again. He also told me that my brakes were functional but my abs unit did not affect my normal brakes. Until I could have the repairs done, and with no other means of transportation, I continued to drive my van. I called back to the dealership and ask if there was anyway for them to disconnect the abs system because it was continuing to drain my battery. And I was told no, the only way was to have the repairs done. On March 8, I part my van and three hours later I returned to my van and it would not start. So it had to have my car jump started and ever since then have had to remove the terminals from the battery when I am not using the van. On Feb 14, several other issue came about:
1. Speedometer stopped working
2. Odometer stopped working
3. Air conditioner stopped working
so once I pulled over, I attempted to start my vehicle and it would continously start and stop. So I made the decision to leave the van where it was parked. Two days later I returned to find out that the van had actually caught on fire the on Saturday Feb. 15. So what am I to do. . . . . . . . . ?

The consumer noticed when the doors were shut, the lights illuminated as if the door were open. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and they reported it was fixed. The problem returned when consumer drove the vehicle home that day. There was a problem with the hatchback door lock. When closing the door, the consumer had to bang it hard to get it closed. The sliding door was having problems as well, it must be slammed in order to close it. The dealership has attempted to fix the problems with the doors. The tire problems began about 2 weeks after the purchase of the vehicle. Tire lights are coming on, indicating that the tires are loosing air. Owner advises that one time the tire light would come on about every block. The vehicle was taken to the dealership after this. The tire had a nail in it. There is also problems with the transmission. When shifting from park to drive, it is very difficult to shift. Owner received a recall letter about this last year and in January of 2005. The recall number is not available. The dealership states that this recall is closed. The dealership won't look any further into the transmission. There is a problem with the front passenger seat, you could see the metal in the seat. The radio has been replaced three times. It is now needing to be replaced again. The car has a bad smell, like rotten eggs. The smell is coming from engine. Dealership reports it is coming from a computer chip and it still smelled after replacement. The same smell returned and then the owner returned the car to the dealership, they kept it for two months. The dealership replaced the catalytic converter. The owner advises that there is still a bad smell. The dealership reported the smell must be sulfuric acid. The owner went to the doctor in regards to the bad chemical smell that burns. The vehicle had problems with the battery. Owner paid for car rental. The drivers seat moved when the consumer applied the brakes.
