1 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2012 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 01/23/2019

Multiple times got into the vehicle (no specific time this would occur) and attempted to start the vehicle. The vehicle would start as it was in the park position. When the van would be placed in reverse it would engage and backing up would occur. Once then the vehicle was placed in drive, the vehicle would then shutter and then stall out. This did occur twice while driver was pulling out, and the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road. After multiple attempts the vehicle would finally start. After the first two times this occurred, we started documenting the amount of fuel in the vehicle and each time this occurred it was on or below a quarter of a tank of gas. Since keeping at least a 1/2 tank of fuel, the vehicle has not exhibited this behavior. The vehicle was taken to local mechanic to be looked at. After assessing the vehicle based on our description, the mechanic stated that the vehicle needs to be taken to a Nissan dealer due to being a TSB out on this year and model of vehicle. Prior to this issue, the vehicle would shutter after being stopped in drive (stop sign, pulling out moving forward, or accelerating up a hill). Testing was done, and code p0500 was listed. We had the mass air flow sensor changed, new battery, and up /lower manifold gaskets changed, in attempt to fix this issue. After each of these services were done, the vehicle did run somewhat better, but still occurs off and on.

2 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2005 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 11/06/2018

Fuel guage doesn't show amount of gas in tank. I put gas often as possible even though at times it doesn't needs much. The odometer function on and one doesn't know what mileage on vehicle. . Engine light comes on even when all check shows vehicle service is ok caused from computer malfunctions.

3 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2007 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 03/08/2016

1. Vechicle run out of gas even though it showed it had 1/4 tank and displayed 24 miles before empty. Was stuck in the middle of high speed traffic without any warning. 2. Vechicle vibrates when driving 40 miles seem to be defective transmition. 3. Vechicle as loud noise coming from timing chain area . According to mechanic this is a costly and known issue with Nissans. Where timing chain guide as permature ware causing time chain to become loose and cuase noise could become a safety issue.

4 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2007 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 09/28/2015

This is probably the 4th time I have stalled out I loose power steering when car stalls and I was driving in a lot of traffic. The first time it happened I was on the free way. Gas gauge shows I have over a quarter of a tank the distance to empty shows that I have any where from 18-70 miles left and I stall out. After putting gas in the tank the car functions again. There is no illuminated light, no notification in the form of a sound or ding. I watch my miles but when you vary between in town and highway miles they are not always the same. I have driven 400 miles before needing to fill up and 283 miles on the odometer when tank has emptied and stalled out. I have been driving for 19 years without ever running out of gas in at least 14 other vehicles, and I have run out 4 times because of this faulty gauge in the Nissan Quest. Very frustrating!!!.

5 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2007 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 11/11/2014

This is further to my complaint about incorrect fuel gauge reading and running out of gas three times when both the fuel gauge and digital display have told me that I had between 80 and 130 miles of travel left to travel. Low fuel or reserve light never illuminated. My service light came on and I connected my car MD reader to the vehicle data connection and ran the diagnostic on it came back with the following report. I hope this will help, stored codes are conditions that your vehicle reported after your check engine light was set. Carmd uses these codes to accurately identify a most likely repair or "cure". Retrieved diagnostic code: p0462 technical definition: fuel level sensor a circuit low input generic definition: this fault code indicates the comprehensive component monitor (ccm) has detected a malfunction in the fuel level sensor circuit. The signal from the sensor was lower than the minimum expected value for a predetermined period of time for the driving conditions present when the code was set. The fuel level sensor monitors the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. A float arm attached to a variable resistor changes position as the fuel level changes. When the fuel level in the tank is high (the float is ¿up) the resistance is low; as the fuel level drops (the float moves ¿down), resistance increases. The signal from the fuel level sensor is supplied to the vehicle¿s fuel gauge to provide an indication of the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. Additional resources in some instances your vehicle's manufacturer may issue a technical service bulletin (TSB) to address this problem. (?) issued TSB? TSB not available maybe this will resolve the issue now with the safety factor and faulty fuel reading due to component product failure. To me this seems that a this will be $700 repair bill for a 25c part.

6 Other Fuel System Tank Mounting problem of the 2007 Nissan Quest
