1. Frame bracket has rusted out and dealer only sells whole frame. Very expensive is obviously an issue which has not been addressed but has been *noted on internet. (went after market to repair still at $775!) 2. Airbags system light now on and was on recall in the past. Dealer will only look at it for $100. * noted on internet as a continuous issue for some. 3. Cruise control on past recall. Has not functioned since dealer fixed in recall. *still turns on by itself and will not go off unless I turn vehicle off. **definite safety issue** 4. Parking brake not functioning properly was also on recall. If I use it then it will not release all the way and continues to drag. Useless. Have had repaired 2 times by mechanic since recall. 5. Transmission replaced on silent recall with extended warranty. Had issues from almost the start. Why would I purchase another Nissan of any type? vehicle 2008 Nissan Rogue is 13 1/2 years old with only 76,000 miles. No way should it have these issues. It has never been in an accident! I love the vehicle but not these issues. I will be replacing this vehicle in the future with a competitor.

The passenger airbag warning light shows the airbag will not engage when a passenger is in the front seat. I just bought this car used from a private party. The photograph below shows when the ignition is turned on and I am sitting in the front passenger seat with my seat belt on. The light never turns off when I’m a passenger or when I have a passenger in the front seat. I am afraid the airbag will not work in a front end collision.

Issue with airbags system and horn. Horn decided not to work any longer.
The airbag started to flash and it won't go away. I know that this model has a recalled on that problem, and I'd like to hear what can I do to fix it. Thank you!.

While driving to work passenger airbag light came on and wouldn't shut off, regardless of whether or not a person was sitting there, in addition the airbag warning light on the dash also came on. I took the car to an independent mechanic who told me it was an OCS issue (code b1018). After a little research I found a recall for this issue on my model car (NHTSA ref# 08v521000) but my VIN is excluded. Contacted a local dealer and was told it would likely be $2,500 for a new seat cushion. This severely affects any passengers safety in my vehicle and should be addressed by Nissan.
Opened my car, started the car, could not get out of my car. The doors would not open. Had to get out through the trunk area. Tried to open/close the car door with the key, the car locked and unlocked at the same time. The vehicle was stationary. On a city street.
Passenger air bag is not registering that it is working properly. The light flashes on and off constantly even when there is a passenger in the seat with the seat belt buckled. It stay on when the car is in motion, stationary, on a city street, highway or turning.
My car will start, slowing down while I am driving. I called Nissan on several things concerning this car. Nissan has not had a recall on their 2008-2010 Rogue yet. 2008 is the 1st generation of this vehicle. I have had engine cradle problems, control arm problems. These car makers need to be held accountable for their product.
Passenger airbag does not work, transmission won't work properly. Very sluggish start and stuck in gear.
Problem 1: I always put my purse on the passenger seat, and the air bag deactivation light turns on on the dashboard. One day, I took the purse off yet the light did not turn off. Ever since then the airbag light has been on. The car has been fixed by Nissan since then for another recall, but the airbag was not fixed as they said it was not a recall. When I took it to Nissan to access having them fix the issue last year, they said I would have to pay about $600 out of pocket. The year it occurred was 2014, and the car has not been driven much since then. Problem 2: the left rear door's handle simply broke off in my hand last year. When I took the car to Nissan to see if they stand behind their handles staying on cars, and would replace it, but they gave me an estimate upwardsnof $600 to repair it. Problem 3: the gas guage does not read properly, as I found put when it ran out of gas yet the car was reading a half full tank. Repair estimate for this issue was about $600. Problem 4: the tires always read as flat, even when taken to get filled by a professional. Nissan's estimate to fix this issue was approximately $600. I was informed by Nissan of the avenues (jacksonville, florida) that there are recalls for every single one of those issues for the 2008 Nissan Rogue, but just not for my specific vehicle.
This happened a few years ago. I would always place my purse on the passenger seat when driving. The air bag deactivation sensor would be tripped due to a lightweight item being placed on the passenger seat. One day, approximately 4 years ago, I noticed the light warning that it was deactivating would not turn off. After a couple of months of this still being on, I took it into coggin Nissan at the avenues of jacksonville. As I was getting signed in to the service department, they quoted me $150 just to look at the car. I recounted that it is an obvious safety hazard, as the air bags are involved, and there was a recall for the 2008 Rogue for that very issue. I asked for my car back and left. Then called to place a complaint. Nothing came of it, as the car was our second vehicle, and it is rarely driven. The car was purchased late in 2007, as a flagship Rogue. It has 125,000 miles, and should be able to be driven more often, especially when we have family visiting, but it sits unused except for little jaunts in the neighborhood, or if there is no other recourse.
Takata recall there is air bag icon flashing on the dash board in red. I took it to my local repair shop and it looks like this was a recall reported back in October 2008. I purchased this car in November, 2008 and I am the original owner. I called local Nissan dealer and they said this recall does not pop up based on my VIN and they will not do anything for this issue. My local repair man said in order to fix this, I have to change whole seat which could cost me about $2000. This is serious safety issue and local dealer does not want to take care this issue. I am sure any safety issue should be taken care of by Nissanusa. If someone was driving and killed by the accident because the airbag did not pop up, what would you do then.
The contact owned a 2008 Nissan Rogue. While the contact's vehicle was at a stop sign, another vehicle crashed into its rear passenger side. The air bags exploded and emitted smoke and dust. There were no injuries, but all the passengers required medical attention. A police report was filed. After all the passengers had exited the vehicle, the vehicle rolled away while the gear shifter was in drive and crashed into the rear driver side of a third vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,000.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Nissan rouge. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph, all off the air bags in the vehicle deployed independently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000. Mf.
Airbag dash light started flashing within 5 seconds of a strange pop/crack sound that came from the dash area. Local Nissan dealer currently has the car, and has informed me that the airbag control module is bad. The estimated cost of the replacement with labor is over $1,100.
2008 Nissan Rogue airbag dashboard light signaled there was a problem on the dashboard. Dealer (Nissan chesapeake, located in chesapeake, va) stated the airbag diode was completely defective and the airbags could no longer deploy. Since the car had 62,300 miles on it, Nissan would not offer any warranty or financial assistance on the $1,400. 00 bill to replace the diode. Dealer customer service representative was embarrassed that such a part was defective at such low mileage.
My airbag starting flashing after a oil change and tire rotation, call dealership was told how to reset it . The next day it came back on ,I tried to reset again it would not reset, called dealership today told them I found recall online, was told my VIN number was not included in recall, not sure what to do now.
Got into a car accident going less than 30 miles per hour. Cause over $6,000 worth of damage. The car was in the shop for over 2 months; waiting on parts for a band new car currently in mass production. Had to replace both air bags, both driver and passenger seat belt, bumper, head lights and most of the front of the car.
