3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 02/07/2018

My Nissan Roguenwas one of the first models introduced in 2008. Since then there have been a few recalls that my Rogue hasn't been eligeable for. One of my recalls right now is the sensor in the pending under the seat for the airbag. The recall says the sensor will still be illuminated when a passenger is sitting in the seat meaning that the sensor for the air bag is malfunctioning. Have called the dealership and the car manufacturers for Nissan and they just won't help at all.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 06/19/2017

Itakata recall:bought the car in July 2016, and everything that can go wrong has, of course it's trial by error, this car had and still has every defect there is. I bought this car from I was not notified of any problems or was my VIN number posted in any event we were on our way to lake george, traveling at a speed of 70 when all of a sudden my car decelerated, flooring got us know where, literally there was traffic everywhere, I put my hazardous lights on and was finally able to get over to right side of road. On another occasion I attempted to go up a hill and while in drive the car just rolled backwards, service engine light came on, perhaps a week after getting my car serviced and multi car inspection. I took the car back ,lady at the desk informed me there was a crack in the cvt, they sealed it and replace transmission fluid , she also went to say if it still gives you problems then we will replace transmission while a few weeks later it decelerated again. I have brought the car back to fucillonissan three times, the service man stated I had to wait until the service light on, what he really meant to say is we are not going pay over three thousand dollars for a new transmission, or wait for the extended warranty to expire. The tire pressure indicated light has came on since I bought the car, which is also a defect , and repeatedly informed them, just filling the tires up and reset the buttons prior to me owning this car it was serviced for emissions defect, their website indicated that they merely reset the button, but the fact that are hazardous fumes don't even direct them to look for leak. The gentleman from Nissan said was resolved, pushing a button, just like they did with tire pressure sensor. Nys adhere to one hand watches the other, hence they would place a recall, I just hope an inexperienced driver go through any of this.

5 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

6 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2017

The passenger air bag sensor does not recognize an adult sitting in the seat. This looks to be a common problem for Rogue. There is a recall for this issue but not for my VIN seatbelt does not register as being secure leaving seatbelt light on in car.

7 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

Passenger air bag sensor stopped working disabling the passenger air bag.

8 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 12/16/2015

My mother in law was driving on Wednesday last at around 35 mph. It was raining and for no apparent reason the side curtain airbags deployed. It was taken to the dealership and they told the insurance adjuster that this was due to a collision even though there was no collision. The car doesn't have a dent on it anywhere. The technician said that the underside of the car was "all beat up". Having been an ase certified mechanic, I don't recall any airbag sensors underneath the car. They are making her insurance pay to correct it.

9 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 01/19/2015

I have been requesting Nissan replace the seat cushion in my Rogue since they inspected it in 2015. They have refused. Now I see there is a recall, air bag occupant classification system (OCS), and I have never been notified and do not see my vehicle in the recall notifications!!!!! I needs my seat cushion replaced, or the air bag sensor will not activate the airbag in a collision. I have been the only owner of this vehicle.

10 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 05/20/2013

Airbag occupancy sensor error.

11 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2012

Nhtsa campaign id 08v5210000 was issued recalling the 2008 Nissan Rogue for a faulty airbag sensor. Why when I own a 2008 Rogue, and the dealer has confirmed the OCS control unit faulty & now has failed, is Nissan not responsible for replacing it at their cost? they tell me it is because only a certain supplier was recalled even though they know the same part is the one that is faulty in my 2008 Rogue. This is a very serious issue and it was recalled on my make & model but because my VIN # was not included in the recall (I. E. Not enough people complained), they refuse to offer any financial assistance to fix this issue. I have a 16 year old daughter who rides in the passenger seat for 50 miles to/from school everyday. This repair is $2500! it is a faulty part & Nissan needs to be held responsible for replacing all parts that are deemed faulty and fail. I informed Nissan that (heaven forbid) if I get into an accident & my daughter flies out the front windshield because of a faulty airbag sensor, you better believe it is on record & a lawsuit will be filed. Nissan is fully aware of this issue, as is your organization. But unfortunately you limit these recalls for the benefit of the big corporations instead of the safety of the people.

12 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2012

The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the sensor for the airbags failed and the warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the air bag sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000. Updated 6/4/12.

13 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 12/17/2007

With approximately 500 miles on my new 2008 Nissan Rogue, the passenger air bag light starting flashing. It was determined on December 26, 2007 that I needed an airbag control module. The part is out of stock and is on back order. Current estimated release date of the replacement part is January 4, 2008. In the interim, my car is just sitting in the dealers service lot awaiting repair. I have been unable to use my car, other than drive it back to the Nissan dealer since December 17, 2007.
