After my car being parked for 5 hours I opened my car door and before even shutting my door and starting my car my rear view windshield shattered to pieces, no forced trauma , literal shatter .
The front, movable section of my panoramic sunroof unexpectedly exploded/shattered while driving. There were no other vehicles in front of me and it was a clear sunny day with nothing overhead. The sunroof and cover were closed. If the cover had been opened, glass shards would've hit the occupants inside the cabin. The sound was an extremely loud bang similar to a shotgun. The sound caused me to brake and slightly swerve. Fortunately, there were no other vehicles nearby and I was able to pullover safely. There was a large chunk of glass missing and quite a bit of small shards on top of the cover. Glass shards continued to fall off while driving home.

The vehicle had been parked for 10 hours while I was at work. I got in the vehicle and shut the door and the back glass shattered. I had security pull up the camera footage of the area my vehicle was parked and no one tampered with it.
The rear window shattered spontaneously with explosive force and sound while I was driving and parking it in the subsurface garage of my condominium complex, with my wife as a passenger. I can only surmise that substandard safety glass, combined with unusually high outside temperatures and extremely effective interior air conditioning was involved in the physics of the explosion. The incident was unprecedented in my 67 years of driving. The incident was preceded by intermittent and inexplicable hissing sounds for several miles before I entered my parking garage and parked the vehicle. No external projectile or impact was involved.
Rear tailgate window exploded for no reason. I work for a fleet company and we have had this happen on at least 8 Nissan Rogues some in winter some in summer. Glass being blown out is extremely frightening while driving and could increase the risk of a crash. Its also a safety issue with glass entering the passenger compartment. This has been reproduced 100s of times. There's plenty of online forums where other Rogue owners have experienced the same issue.

My interior rear view mirror keeps falling off. I took it back to Honda and they said they fixed it but it still falls off . My rear windshield wiper fell off. My console has a light that is always on and they said it was fixed. My fob got locked in my car. I was forced to buy a car clear shield but it isn’t on. I was forced to buy car security system I didn’t want.

I entered the 2023 Nissan Rogue around [xxx] on st. Simons island GA, on [xxx] with my granddaughter. Upon shutting the doors, the rear hatchback window exploded into pieces and blew out. I had not left the parking place or cranked the car. The glass pieces were all over the road and on the inside of my car. The police were called and a report was filed. How was my safety put at risk? besides being shocked and traumatized at what sounded like a gunshot, I am now concerned about driving this car again with a new rear window because I fear it could happen again at any time. I am also suffering from a form of ptsd with super loud noise. (I jumped off my yoga mat when someone dropped a metal cup that made a very loud noise during our practice. ) I asked the dealership why it happened and I called the Nissan customer service center and have yet to find out why this has happened. My own research has indicated that this problem has occurred in many 2023 Nissan Rogues. The car was inspected by the police and they saw no foul play. The dealership currently has the car and is currently waiting on a new rear hatch window and it will be replaced at no cost after I strongly urged that this car was under warranty and this appears to be a defect (although the dealership doesn't agree). No -- the problem has not been reproduced at the dealership since it does not involve a mechanical part. I contacted the georgia attorney general's consumer protection division (cpd) to try to make a lemon law report and the advisor I spoke to indicated that the problem had to occur more than once. Therefore I was unsuccessful in filing that report on April 2, 2025. Since the car had not been turned on, there were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms that the rear window was about to blow out. Again, this happened all on [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
There was no incident, just routine occurrences of the following that could lead to one: 1) the wipers do not clear the upper right (passenger) side of the windshield, creating a blind spot, which is especially dangerous when turning. Photo attached, though note this is a mild instance and visibility can be much worse. 2) the rearview camera has been blacking out while the car is in reverse. The black screen lasts about a second and is becoming more common, maybe once a day. 3) the power steering goes out occasionally, which I am strong enough to deal with, but would be difficult for my children (who also drive the car) to deal with.
Rear window shattered without previous damage or impact of any object. Vehicle was parked in the middle of a garage, temperature was 32f and driver was present during event. Heard loud noise followed by rear glass shattering and fragments flying all the way to back seat passengers. Nobody was hurt, but glass shards had to be removed from their hair/ clothing. Problem has not been reproduced in dealership, but multiple reports for same vehicle have been filed online. Vehicle has not been inspected by insurance, as they will not cover it. There were no warning signs, or evidence of malfunction. Glass was inspected that same day before driving, had no cracks or breaks. Rear wiper was off when this happened.
There is standing water on the driver’s side floorboard and a sloshing noise can be heard while driving. This appears to match conditions described in a technical service bulletin (reference: ntb14-105a). The issue is especially bad in rainy conditions and the accumulation of moisture causes condensation on the inside of the windshield and windows making it difficult to clear off to see while driving. Additionally due to the large amount of water, mold is starting to grow on the interior upholstery. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer who confirmed the issue although they declined to cover the cost of the repair as there are currently no active recalls related to this issue. They further claim that ntb14-105a does not apply to this vehicle.

Rear window shield busted randomly in cold. Car was parked and when I returned to parked car the rear window was shattered.
The rear window of the vehicle exploded with no impact. After backing out of my driveway I was pulling forward down the street and my rear window exploded. There was a pop and crackle sound. There was no evidence on the vehicle that something struck the window nor was there anything seen in the cameras around my home. When I got out of the vehicle and shut my door the glass fell into the trunk of the car and a piece went into the door handle which shorted it out and it needed to be replaced after the glass was replaced.
Back window exploded. On interstate 55 mile marker 265. No other vehicles were close. No debris on the road. This is happening to Nissan vehicles.
The heater and thus defroster no longer work, only cold air comes out. A Nissan service center diagnosed the issue as a stripped out part of the blend door actuator. The whole heater box would need to be replaced to resolve the issue. In winter driving, the lack of defroster impairs visibility and turns off the automatic forward braking system. The fault light for the forward braking system comes on when there is windshield frost/fog. The first signs of this issue appeared as intermittent failures of the heater failing to turn on, but resolved on the next drive. Eventually, the heater/defroster permanently failed. From searching the internet, this blend door actuator issue appears to be prevalent among other Rogues.

Rear window of car spontaneously exploded inward and completely shattered. Vehicle was parked/stationary when this happened in a covered garage. No sudden temperature changes, no external or internal damage to the window before the window exploded.
The screen for the rear view camera is turning off for couple of seconds during the reversing of the car. During that time there is no visibility in the rear of the car and can cause an colossion.
Back windshield shattered.

On Wednesday [xxx], I brought my car to autonation Nissan in pembroke pines florida due to non-functional windshield wipers. By Wednesday, August 21st, I was informed that not only were the windshield wiper motors inoperable, but a part called the engine harness was also required for repairs, and this part was not available. . I also reached out to my extended warranty program and spoke with siena at Nissan corporate, who provided me with case number [xxx]. The part number needed is assy-24012-6 MA oc. Despite my repeated follow-ups every three days with sienna, I have been informed each time that the part remains on backorder with no estimated arrival date and that a loaner vehicle cannot be provided. Consequently, I am now forced to drive my car without windshield wipers, which is unsafe. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue sport. The contact stated while opening the trunk, the windshield wiper detached. The front windshield wipers failed to spray or wipe the screen properly, creating a distorted screen while driving. The contact also stated that the door trims on all 4 doors were detaching. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the wipers needed to be replaced. The dealer sent the contact to pep boys to replace the front wipers. There were no other repairs made. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,840.

The heat in my 2015 Nissan Rogue stopped working last winter. This prevented me from being able to defrost the windshield while driving in the middle of winter! the problem is a faulty blend door on the hvac box. The actuator motor is made of hard plastic, but the blend door is made from soft plastic. This causes the spline in the blend door to strip out and crack and no longer actuate to allow hot air to enter the cabin. I have pictures of the stripped out spline. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealer or independent service center, but my research online has shown that there are many other Nissan Rogue owners who have experienced similar issue, at very low mileages. There were no warning lamps or messages of the problem before it began. There was one symptom, the car had problems heating before it stopped operating completely. The soft plastic spline is probably a $5 part, but it is part of the hvac box, which is a $2700 part (and probably a 10+ hour labor job as the whole dash has to come out. ) this is very poor design. I am unsure what they thought would happen when hard plastic is applying torsional force to soft plastic.
As I was driving yesterday (1/12/24) on a busy highway and my sunroof shattered suddenly. It startled me and I had no idea what occurred. I heard a very loud pop and what sounded like rocks hitting my vehicle. I inspected my car and couldn’t find the source thinking it may have been a tire etc but no lights came on. Everytime I drove I heard “pebbles” move but could not find the source. This morning I noticed a piece of glass on my windshield which caused me to inspect my vehicle and to my surprise the sunroof had a hole in it! I’ve reported my sunroof leaking since I purchased the truck in 2018. The dealership claimed to fix the sunroof but would not replace it. The leaking stopped for around 2-3 months and began again. I was told this was not covered under warranty and that I’d have to pay out of pocket for it. I did not think this was fair because I purchased the vehicle when the issue was present. I was subsequently never made aware that there were any defects or complaints about sunroof problems or the occurrences of exploding sunroofs in the make and model I have.
The harness that controls the lift gate is malfunctioning. It’s an issue from the previous recall that has reproduced results. The only way to fix it is to disconnect and connect the safety pins by the foot panel on the drivers side door. Over time it has progressively gotten worse to the point that anytime it opens, it’ll need to be disconnected and then connected before the next time you use it. Also one time it stopped working when the lift gate was open and would not let you close the lift gate.
Días atrás se prendió la luz DE airbag en el tablero y se siente mucho aire caliente al conducir los dealers me cobran mucho para un diagnóstico que puedo hacer?.
Defecto DE fábrica.
Faulty heath unit it does not blow hot air inclement cold weather with humidity makes fog the windshield because you can not defrost your glass with warm air a lot of people on dangerous situation for their reason a lot of complains about this faulty issue in Nissan Rogues.
The heating/cooling do not operate correctly on the driver side or rear passenger vents. Proper temperature comes from the passenger side vents. Local mechanic attempted swapping the blend door actuator and then it failed again. My mechanic then said that I would need to replace the entire heater / ac unit assembly. After searching online, there are multiple forums dedicated to this same issue, specifically for vins that start with kn. This is a safety issue because the defroster does not work on the driver side, it blows whatever the ambient air temperature is, so in the winter when the windows fog up the drivers view is impaired. There are no warning lamps message or other symptoms.

Something to do with heat - the drivers side heat does not work but the passenger does. This affects the defrosting of the windshield - cannot defrost with cold air in the winter. I have found several discussion boards detailing the same issues with cost to fix is over $3k.
The defrost only blows out cold air, along with the drivers side heat. Heat comes out of the passenger side but the defrost and drivers side is always cold. The cold defrost makes for less visibility and freezes the windshield making it unsafe to drive in winter conditions or cold conditions. The actuator door has been replaced twice and did not fix the issue. The dealership has recommended the entire heater / ac unit assembly being replaced for $3000. This is a common safety concern with the Nissan Rogue and should be recalled before further accidents/injuries/problems occur.
Nissan has a flaw in their door blend actuators in which over time the actuator motor that turns the hvac flap gets worn out by the turning of the actuator. Overtime the hole in which the actuator goes into gets worn out, which disables the flap to work properly. This is an issue because in my case, I cannot utilize my defroster or even see under cold conditions if the flap cannot distribute cold air. I am forced to pay 5 grande to fix something that is a necessity. I need to see when driving down the road. Nissan should do something to fix this issue on rouge models of 2015 to current ones.
I purchased this vehicle new and started having issues with it at 3,000 miles. The screen freezes or just stops working, the hvac system blows out 2 totally different temps even though it's "synced" on the same temp. My blind spot warning is malfunctioning, the rear camera has stopped working and the rear tailgate fills with water, I was told I would need a whole new tailgate to fix that, I supposedly had the retractors replaced in my seatbelts and those still do not retract. The car has slammed on the brakes on the highway for no reason causing a burn on my neck, supposedly that recall was performed but I dont think it was. I have also caught gandrud Nissan in an act of fraud once already regarding my vehicle being there for an entire week and them trying to say it was never there, and I believe they never performed these recalls or fixes, otherwise my seatbelts should work and my cameras would be working. This vehicle has given me nothing but issues since I bought it. I have video and paperwork to back this all up. When I asked to speak with the owner of gandrud Nissan who has done all the work on my vehicle while under warranty, he refuses to call me back. I would like an investigation done to see if these parts have been replaced and the recall work was actually performed, I do not want Nissan notified until after another party has checked to see if the work was done.
The heat and cold setting is stuck on the a/c cold setting. Unable to defrost or use heat to defrost windows. The gear to switch the settings is worn out and stripped.
