The heat in my vehicle only works on the passenger side. It does not blow out warm or hot on the driver's side. This is due to a stripped actuator in the blend door. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. I live in colorado where it gets very cold. Because the heat doesn't work on the driver's side, the windshield doesn't defrost well. This is a hazard because I cannot see through my windshield when I'm driving and it's cold out. Yes, this problem was inspected and confirmed by a local Nissan dealer in lakewood, colorado. There are no warning messages. There are a lot of other people having this exact same problem. See some of the blogs below. There are also some youtube videos. . . Hi I did not wreck my car. This has occurred for over a year. My windshield wipers quit working and then they work sporadically. My husband bought a new motor last year but when we checked it the motor said it was fine so we sent the new one back. I have taken my car to the Nissan dealership but when I got on the road to take it my windshield wipers started working again. I took there anyway and they charged me $160 I still have the receipt. They said they didn't see anything wrong but I honestly think they didn't look. Yesterday I took it to another mechanic fastlane in hiram georgia brandon looked at it and said it was the motor was not getting enough juice. We are going tomorrow to get another motor at o'reilly's in dallas GA today is 01-25-24. On 01-22-24 and 01-23-24 I had to drive my car to work with no windshields wipers I had no choice. I have never had a car that this happened to. I have a really nice car and shouldn't even have to write this. My brother passed away in a car wreck and I shouldn't even have to think about getting in my car and dying because of the windshield wipers not working when I'm trying to drive. This has been going on for over a year.

No heating on drivers side. During winter cannot clear windshield for driving. Consider this a safety hazard as we cannot see clearly enough when driving vehicle in inclement or cold weather. Took to mechanic who advised it was a “bend door actuator” that needed replacement. Once he got involved, it turns out to be a stripped plastic gear in the heater box. To replace the heater box, the entire dashboard has to be removed which is unheard of on a 2015 car that has not hit 60k in miles. Bought this new, and car has been garaged and properly maintained since purchase.

I have not had a wreck because of this, but it does effect the ability to drive this car at times. The hvac blend door on this car will strip out and in the winter you cannot switch it from cold air to hot air. So you have to freeze while driving and if it starts sleeting or your front window starts icing up or fogging up you cannot defrost it because there is not hot air. This seems to be a common issue for Nissan Rogues as you can find many forums with people discussing this issue on different year models. I've tried using jb weld plastic epoxy as some have mentioned to hold the motor from slipping in the hole but over time it breaks down and strips out again. . Read more...

Unknown, I had just got off or my 8 hour work shift at 3:30 pm eastern time. I went to my truck/rear hatch to put my stuff in and I notice glass on the ground. I look up and notice 2 holes the size of a soft ball on the bottom right and left corner of my back windshield. The glass was whole back glass was completely shattered. Every time I shut a door on either side of the door more glass shattered from the back windshield. I was park in an area where no cars were within 10 feet of my car the weather was about 80 degrees, we've had much hotter days in va. There is absolutely no explanation for this besides a malfunction in the windshield being used on the vehicles. Upon my own research I have discovered this same incident has happened to many other Nissan owners with the damage to the wind shield looking identical, it the same exact spots.

When using the vehicle air system, I will have window malfunctions, wiper malfunctions, and battery malfunctions, while driving. My car has shut off while driving because of the recall. I need a resolution as this is incredibly dangerous.
Vehicle has turned off while driving, and while stopped. Wiper stopped working, windows will sometimes work.
My drivers side window doesn’t go up and down consistently, also just spent 1500. 00 for a total tune up, always do my oil changes tires brakes etc. Now I’m driving down the road and my car jerked so hard it caused my forearm to beep the horn and the driver behind me just missed rear ending me. It happened two more times driving very slow to get home and again almost got rear ended. I spent 32,000. 00 for this car not even six years old. I have a 2007 Nissan versa bottom of the line that has over 200,000 miles no problems. Nissan is very aware of the problem with thesecvt’s and the extended warranty isn’t helping me as I drive a lot for work all highway, I can’t even work right now! this is ridiculous! they tried to tell me that 125,000 is a lot of miles I was like are you kidding me this is a 32,000. 00 car! my versa was 16,000 and almost ten years older and still going strong. If they are ok with these cars some only lasting from 45,000 miles to 125,000 miles then the price should be reduced severely!.
I recently filled up my windshield wiper fluid tank to the max. As I was driving, my visibility was impaired by dirt/dust. I activated my wipers to clean the front windshield and nothing came out. I had to pull over on the highway because I had difficulty seeing. When I opened the front hood to check my fluid level, it was empty. I used a bottle of water to clean the front windshield. I purchased another bottle and when I was filling up the wiper fluid tank, it started to come out of the bottom of the vehicle. I took it to the dealership and was told that it was cracked and needed to be replaced. They said I must have hit something on the road. The problem with that is there is no other visible damage underneath the vehicle. A mechanic told me that he has been seeing numerous Rogues coming in with the same problem: cracked windshield wiper fluid reservoirs.

I purchased a 2022 Nissan Rogue platinum brand new in March of 2022. On the drive home from the dealership, I noticed my driver's side rear view mirror was quite shaky. After speaking with my salesperson, I tried to fold the mirror in and back out again to see if that would help the situation. It did not. Whenever I drive at speeds as low as 20 mph, the mirror will shake and give a distorted view. I took the vehicle into a local dealership to have the mechanics look at it and possibly fix it. My car has less than 500 miles on it at this point. The technicians could not figure out how to fix the issue. The service manager drove my vehicle and confirmed the issue. Then, he drove another new Rogue on the lot. He found that Rogue to have the same issue. He contacted a Nissan field engineer who stated the issue is known and considered to be normal. I am unsure how it could be considered normal as the passenger mirror works as expected, but the driver's mirror shakes and vibrates.

Back window exploded outward for no reason.
The driver side wiper arm stopped working on Sunday, January 16, 2022. The wiper motor and passenger side wiper were still functioning. The wiper arm was checked for damage Thursday, January 20 and none found. The nut holding the arm to a threaded shaft was found to be very loose. The nut was tightened and the wiper arm was repaired. Today, Sunday, January 23, the defect reoccurred. The nut was tightened again. However, this defect is clearly a safety hazard given the driver's side wiper clears more than half the windshield.
The backup camera periodically freezes when you put the vehicle in reverse. Other times, the screen will stay black or just show the Nissan logo until you cycle power. The safety of all inside the vehicle and around the vehicle is at risk when the backup camera feed freezes, especially if the operator doesn't realize the feed is frozen. This vehicle is currently operated outside of the us but will be available for inspection upon return. The issue is intermittent so it has not been reproduced in the presence of any service center. There were no warning messages involved.
Came home and sunroof was fine, no incidents on road, no debris. Went to leave home approximately an hour later and sunroof was shattered. Confirmed on camera normal on arrival home then shattered, unable to visualize when actual break occurred but no other activity noted on camera during said time frame. Vehicle had not moved or been touched by anything, was secure in garage.
After taking my car in for the latest maintenance at the dealership, not even a week later my heater/ac stopped working properly. When the air conditioner is on, it blows out hot air. . . When the heater is on, it blows out cold air! this is very frustrating and only occurs on the drivers side vents for some reason. The remaining vents blow out the correct temperatures. I took the vehicle to a local shop and paid $100 just to have the car diagnosed and they let me know that the heater core needs to be replaced and that it would cost me about $3,000 to repair. I called the dealership to get a second opinion and was informed it would cost me $175 just to look into the issue! I let them know what the local shop said and was told that this was an unlikely issue (which is not what the majority of the internet is saying). The dealer informed me if this was the case it would be upward of $4,000 to replace and that the labor alone is $1,000! this is a frustrating situation because as the weather gets colder, it gets very difficult to defrost my windshield as the heater does not work as needed. Considering many people have complained about this same issue, Nissan should have recalled this a long time ago.
Heat randomly works so that if it’s not working the windshield won’t clear.
The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the windshield wiper failed to spray enough wiper fluid on the windshield to clean the windshield, creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The local dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the windshield wiper blades needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100.
Hood was inadvertently released by driver due to hood latch release's location next to the fuel door release. Driver then pulled out of gas station onto street. While traveling under 15 miles per hour and within a block, the hood flew upward, obscuring the driver's view, causing damage to the hood, fenders, and cowl filler pieces. Damage has been inspected by the insurance appraiser/body shop manager, who confirmed the hood release safety latch was "frozen" and only became operative after manually manipulating it several times. The same individual mentioned this was the second Rogue in less than a year where he had noted hood damage, again without affecting the windshield or the roof. Cause of damage in that case was only learned after the appraiser had questioned the driver and the driver mentioned that the hood had flown up in a prior unrelated incident.
I have been pulled over twice now because of passenger headlight out, and also the license plate lights out. When I went to replace bulbs both lights were in working order. The headlight was working when I first started driving. It quit while in motion. The license plate light quit working on a different occasion and I am not 100% sure if it worked when I first started to drive. I was pulled over and given a ticket. The next day I went to nearest auto parts store and purchased new bulbs. When I went to replace both bulbs they were both working. I obviously am unable to say if they both quit while driving, however I now check all lights before driving anywhere.
I purchased my vehicle in 2016 brand new. Not even a year into owning the vehicle, at 12,497 miles on 5/1/2017, my ac stopped working and nothing was blowing out of the vents. The part that was repaired/replaced on my invoice states, "rpl thermistor/thermo control amplifier. The ac stopped working a second time at 14,976 miles on 8/14/2017. This time, the part that was repaired/replaced on the invoice states, "rpl fan & motor". My ac stopped working a third time at 54,644 miles on 6/10/2020. The part that was repaired/replaced on the invoice states, "rpl blower resistor/control amplifier. " this time, I finally reported it to Nissan and they gave me a "goodwill adjust" where they offered to pay 70% of the repairs due to being outside of warranty. You are never going to believe this, but it happened a fourth time at 60,509 miles on 1/5/2021, but this time it was during the winter and the heat would not come out of the blowers. The Nissan dealership that tried to diagnose my vehicle ($140 diagnosis fee) said that they would need to take apart the entire dashboard (which would be 1-2 hours of labor at $140/hour) because they "traced an electrical issue within the dashboard harness, would need further diag in order to confirm repair needed". Basically, the service advisor who called me from the dealership said that they already need to replace the part that was just installed 6/10/2020 (not even 6 months ago) because it is an electrical issue, they would most likely need to replace the blower motor, and either repair or replace wiring, which could be over $4,000 to replace the dashboard harness. I contacted Nissan again and explained that this has been an ongoing issue since 12,497 of owning the vehicle and because they already helped me once outside of warranty, they will not help me again.
Clogged sunroof drains have cause the cabin of the car to get a lot of water. Condensation/water buildup on the interior of windshield is constantly occurring causing my ability to see out the windshield to be almost impossible. Little electrical issues have been happening, such as turn signal bulbs going out. The vehicle now has a very moldy/mildew smell that's probably killing my lungs.
My headlights globe is frosted so much I cannot see clearly when driving at night. I have a 2014 and I don't think they should be this foggy.
Driver side aircon is cold and passenger side is hot even if both setting is set to 90 degrees. The dealer did not mentioned this when we bought the car. Front vent blowing cold air as well which is very dangerous when driving cold conditions.
Turned wipers to full speed and suddenly the right wiper arm was pointed in the wrong direction- now it does not move at all- broken linkage. The vehicle was moving on a city road traveling 30mph with light rain and no obstructions.
2018 Nissan rouge panoramic glass exploding. My wife was driving to work and suddenly heard an explosion like a gun shot. She had glass fall inside the the car and on her. Nissan is not using a tempered glass and this posses a safety concern for all Nissan owners with the panoramic roof.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving the glass sunroof sunddenly exploded. The contact called the dealer swope Nissan 1100 n dixie Ave, elizabethtown, ky 42701(270) 765-6477 and they referred the contact to her insurance company to repair the sunroof. The manufacturer did the same and gave the contact a claim number but called back and referred the contact to her insurance company to repair the glass sunroof. The vehicle currently remains unrepaired in the contact's garage. The contact would like to request NHTSA to send an investigator out to examine the sunroof damage before send gets it repaired. The failure mileage was 58,843. Tf.
The airbags light is on and the window wiper does not spray very hard to clean the windows.

We were driving smoothly on a 5n freeway and the car suddenly jolted and stopped at exactly 48k miles, no sensors were lighting up. I have to hazard light in the middle of the freeway turn off the engine and turn it on, same jolting movement but luckily I was able to steer it safe at roadside and ask for towing.
Nissan Rogue 2015 - sunroof/moonroof shattered suddenly. We were driving on a freeway with cruise control set at 65mph; the weather was sunny, approx. Low 80s. Nothing was irregular about the feel of the car, we were not driving under an overpass, other vehicles on the road were not ultra-close to us, and we didn't drive over any objects, then suddenly, we heard a loud bang out of nowhere which harshly startled us and got our hearts pounding. After realizing the car was still operating normally (no flat tire, no steam from the engine, no warning lights etc. ) when we stopped to look over the car for any sign of damage, we finally discovered cracked and lifted glass on the exterior of the panoramic moonroof. Looking closer we found numerous more long cracks so we opened the interior sunshade to look up at the glass from the inside of the car, and were astonished to discover the entire rear portion of the sunroof was shattered into little tempered pieces. We were lucky I didn't swerve and potentially cause an accident after the thunderous bang and/or that the glass didn't dangerously cascade on top of us while driving. This is a major motor vehicle safety issue and defect. After researching what could have caused a sunroof to randomly shatter, I'm appalled to learn that this has been a recurring issue on Nissan vehicles for years! my local Nissan dealership/service center said they are not responsible to fix this obvious concern?! we pay extra to have a car with a sun/moonroof, only to discover after the fact, that they are susceptible to exploding suddenly and randomly and shattering into pieces which I'm now informed is my responsibility to fix?.
My wife and (3) month old great granddaughter experienced a loud boom out of no where I immediately stopped and made sure the baby and my wife were not injured and then I became very angry that the sun roof exploded like this and put my baby life in unnecessary danger. Nissan says-it is not their fault and now want me to file on my insurance a charge more than 2,100. 00. I have 1 question. . . Does everyone riding need to wear safety glasses now?!! this precious baby could have lost her vision and had possible disfigurement. This is a very scary problem. . . . (help).
Sun visors no longer stay in an upright position at any time. They produce a hazard by constantly blocking your view of the highway. Vehicle has 50,000 miles on it.

Windshield wipers are going on and off by itself even when the car is not running it stops in middle of windshield and blocks me from seeing the road also when it rains alot I have to pull over in a rain. Had to go to the dealership and get it fixed and both parts did not fix it and the parts are 25560-4ba1d sw compl-comb and 28810-4ra0a motor assy-win and these parts were installed on 06/11/2020 and it still does the same thing as above.
The tires ere wearing unevenly I was told they could not do rotation uneven tire wear took in doer inspection and discovered the problem was the rack and pinion /inner/outer tie rods uneven.
I noticed recently that my vehicle's heater is not working properly, when I turn on the defogger/ heater, the passenger side works fine, but the driver's side only blows cold air, which, when living in the north east is a problem on cold days as the window will fog up while driving. Also, this causes me (the driver) to have to resort to wearing a scarf and gloves while driving as it's my side that is freezing. I've done some research and notice that this is a common problem with the Nissan Rogue, and that any attempts to re mediate the problem is only temporary and has been known to happen again. This winter (2019-2020) has been extra cold so I only noticed this now when trying to warm up the car.
