1 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2015 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

When braking from high speeds the car shakes and does not want to stop. I put both of my feet on the pedal as hard as I can. This happens unexpectedly and not all of the time. When just driving around town breaking is fine. No shake in the pedals. I took it to a dealership and they couldn't find a code. I also took to the mechanic ( afc certified). They said my pads are at 60% and the rotors were in good condition.

This car has excessive break pedal travel, then break failure to stop. Pedal sinks to floor and renders the breaking system useless. Fluid is full, and clean. Break pads are in mid to high capacity.

3 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2016 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 11/02/2017

On 11/02/17 brought the car in for the brakes and service said they couldn't get it to squeak while it was at the shop. Was in for 1 day for service. Now its 1/16/18 brought the car back in again and service can hear grind/squeak sound mileage under 12,000 miles and shop wants to shave the rotors on my car and replace brake pads. I do not want my rotors shaved as that makes it one less time I can do that in the future. So service replaces with new Nissan rotors and brake pads. Car in shop for 10 days now its 8/16/18 car has less then 5,000 miles on Nissan factory parts and brakes are making noise again. Mason in service wants to shave my rotors and replace brake pads but Nissan does not want to cover them under warranty. I tell them its ok to shave rotors this time but feel Nissan should have better parts. With the few miles that are on the brakes and rotors. Car has less then 16,000 miles on it. Car in shop for another day. Nissan has a known problem with these brake pads they are using mason the service manager said Nissan has a bulletin about the noise there brakes make. Well I would have liked to know that when I was purching this vechile. As of writing this letter the brakes started to squeak again. I am tired of driving this car in public and it sounding like a old cop car or taxi cab. I bought a new car for a reason! so in closing the car has been in the shop 12 days so far, has had new brake rotors and pads replaced twice and the car has less then 17,000 miles on it now. I guess I expected to much when I purchased a car for $25,000 that it would not have any problems and Nissan has proved me wrong. What I would like Nissan to do is purchase this vehicle back from me, with a credit so I can purchase a new Nissan with no problems.

4 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2013 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 06/13/2017

The vehicle wont stop at times. The brake pedal has to be pumped. At times when braking the car the pedal goes to the floor and tries to creep even when brakes are applied. Very bad feeling-had new pads and rotors just installed.

5 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2004 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 07/27/2016

My car hit a truck going 25-30 mph. I was on a city street. My breaks did not stop me on time. New break pads were just replaced. The breaks just didn't work right. Took too long to come to a complete stop. I tested my breaks on my other car to see if there was any difference in stopping and I would have stopped in my other car on time. Breaks just took to long to come to a complete stop on the Nissan.

6 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2013 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

I purchased a 2013 certified pre-owened Nissan Sentra in November of 2014 with 29k miles and loved it, but a couple of months ago we started experiencing issues with the brakes. Any time coming to a stop, the brake pedal feels like it has very little brake pressure and the pedal depresses too far down almost as if it had air in the brake system. After coming to a complete stop and while pressing on the brake, seconds later the car starts moving and the brake pedal looses pressure and I have to push my foot further than normal, eventually my foot is near the floor board and have to pump the brake pedal to regain brake pressure. This proves to be very dangerous if you have to make a sudden stop for an emergency or are going downhill and come to a stop behinde another vehicle. Being that the vehicle is still under warranty, I took it to the Nissan dealership where I purchased it and they have said nothing is wrong with the car and that I was welcomed to drive a new car to see that the issue was considered to be normal operation. That only proves to me that the brake problem is still an issue and Nissan has done nothing to fix the problem. They still looked at my brakes and replaced front and rear brake pads as a precausionary measure but the issue still persists. I have never owned a Nissan and have alway owned american makes, I feel greatly disapointed in a company that claims to value safety and yet allow their clients to be driving vehicles with such a serious saftey concern. Having worked service for a dealership in the past for many years I recognize that technitians can have their hands tied if the manufacturer that engenieered the vehicle doesn't provide a solution for them to repair a problem. If you can please open an investigation regarding this matter and hope that Nissan could consider finding a solution for this problem soon.

7 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2013 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 11/10/2014

Purchased a Nissan certified pre-owned vehicle Nissan Sentra 2013. Mileage on vehicle 10014. Bought vehicle from hawthorne Nissan hawthorne NJ. This vehicle was purchased for my 17 year old daughter. We have owned the vehicle for 7 months. Brakes were squeaking. Mechanic states the brake pads were worn out already. Damage was down to 1/2 inch past the red marker. If my daughter was to continue driving this vehicle she would have been dead. I know other complaints have been filed on this please look in to this matter. I am fearful for her to drive it even after the repair. She only placed an additional 3000 miles since our purchase in April.

8 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2013 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 06/06/2013

2013 Nissan Sentra only 5 months old with 7000 feel like a 20 year old car. Every time I hit the brake to slow down, I hear squeking noise and feel like the pads are grinding, I will have to take it to the dealer to have it checked out. Oh and you can't lift you wiper blades because the hood is on the way. How the heck are you suppose to clean you windshield or replace wiper blades. A/c goes on when you change to defrost or recurculating and you have to manually disengage when changing modes. Should have went with the corolla.

9 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2005 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 03/08/2012

My car was supposedly fully inspected on October 2010. It had been checked about three times that same year by Nissan dealerships. On March 8, as I was exiting I-35, my brakes would not respond. I kept pressing the brake; I didn't raise my foot and push, I just kept pushing deeper and deeper. I braced myself for impact, but miraculously, the car stopped just a centimeter away from the car in front of me. The warranty ran out on October 2010, so I took the car to a non-Nissan mechanic, who found that my car was missing brake fluid and that all my brakes were worn out. They all need to be replaced, including brake pads. This did not happen overnight. No Nissan dealership ever told me about any problems with my brakes. Town north Nissan in austin were the ones who last inspected my car, twice in a period of six months. Before, that, I took my car to charlie clark Nissan in harlingen (which has the worst service ever; they tried making me pay for things that were covered under my warranty). I could have crashed; I could've killed others and myself. I don't know who else to resort to, because based on prior experience (I've had issues with my a. C. , windows, and other things before), Nissan does is rude and does not help out. So, I doubt they'll help me now that my warranty has run out. My brakes did not wear out over night. A huge accident could have resulted due to the Nissan's negligence.

11 Brake Disc Pads problem of the 2004 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 10/16/2010

Nissan Sentra 2004 model - manufacturer defect - recall required. Dear, this is regarding my Sentra car - doing service only with Nissan dealer. Took the car 3 times to dealer for the same problem - only on the 3rd time they could find the problem. Seems they never came across this type of problem before. Brake booster does not send fluid to brake -stalls the car middle of the freeway/highway from 65/55miles to 5 miles - suddenly comes sudden halt in highway. Gave full acceleration, it doesn't move more than 5 miles/hr. Returned to car dealer again. Avoided several accidents. My services charges were $1,200 - which includes fuel system replacement, brake pads, rotors - at early stage - @39700 miles. Very bad experience with Nissan for the first time - I had altima before. It is a total manufacturer defect. I am worried as my teen age daughter and wife are driving this car. Informed Nissan, they said it is normal/common defect.

I purchased an 09 Sentra brand new sept 24th 09 since day one when I brake they grind and the steering wheel shakes they fixed it around 8200 miles and it started again 7 thousand later. Originally they said the pads were glazed and the rotors had hotspots! anyway maybe its the type of pads they use. Im tired of it and just want smooth braking. I researched this and found several other complaints made by 09 Nissan owners reporting the same thing. Obviously theres a problem and should be recalled. If you have to brake fast the whole car shakes.
