1 Car Stall problem of the 2014 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 04/22/2021

Fuel pump failure at 75k miles. Resulted in vehicle sputtering, then stalling, dashboard lights going out and then turning back on with more than half a tank difference in the fuel reading, and then ran out of gas entirely. Brought to dealership who denied there being an open recalls on the vehicle ever, which is incorrect as I've already had to replace the transmission from a recall. The vehicle is completely unstable and is now also having problems holding brake fluid. Can't fill tank at the gas station either because refueling stops immediately every two seconds after turning on even if you physically hold it there. . . You continue to have to click it back on because the fuel is not accepted by the vehicle. This car should be recalled entirely. It is unsafe and has stranded me 3 times and repairs have been unreasonable. Nissan must take responsibility and issue recalls that will fix the issues free of charge. As of today I've been asked to invest another $3,000. 00 to fix it, but it's worth less than that now.

6 Car Stall problem of the 2013 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 01/09/2020

I purchased my vehicle from a used dealership. I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra that has the exact same issues as the Nissan vehicles from 2010-2012. My transmission feels as if it is slipping, jerking, shuddering and does not gain acceleration smoothly. If I accelerate at all, my transmission will jerk. If I put my car in reverse, it will stall and feels as if it is not getting any gas and the transmission jerks. If I am on a street that is not busy driving under 40 if my rpm gets over 1, it will jerk and feel as if it is going to shut off. When I am driving on the highway at higher speeds of 40, if the rpm increases at all, my vehicle jerks and feels as if it is not getting enough gas. I took my car to firestone on 1/10/20 and they determined that it is indeed the cvt transmission. I had 0 codes appear. I have the document from firestone that reflects that I have no other issues with the vehicle. I was advised by firestone to take the vehicle to Nissan. I took the vehicle to Nissan 1/10/20 the same day and was told the exact same thing, however the recall does not apply to the year of my vehicle, but I have the exact same issue as the previous year manufactured vehicles. I also have documentation for this as well. They ran a full diagnostic test and found 0 codes. I keep my vehicle in good condition and well kept and service is up to date. This needs to be recalled.

11 Car Stall problem of the 2015 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 07/22/2019

Lets start with the small stuff first: the trunk will no longer pop open from the button in back of the car (only from key and inside the car), also will tend to open while I am driving which is a significant driving hazard. The handle of the driver door is broke, no longer can I lock or open the car from the button on the door. Now to the unsafe and biggest problem of all: transmission/engine issues. On numerous occasions in the past year my car has stalled out while I was driving the car! not only did I go to the dealership numerous times for the same issue but I also had my transmission replaced (while it was still under warranty) and the problem still continues. This is an ongoing known issue with this vehicle and it should absolutely be recalled immediately. I do not understand why no one of authority has taken responsibility for these hazardous issues. It is completely unsafe and unreliable. I have many videos describing my issues along with conversations with a Nissan representative from headquarters and employees from the dealerships. I have always experienced problems with my car (even within the first couple months of purchasing it). It is not allowing me to attach documents, please let me know where they can be sent!.

12 Car Stall problem of the 2010 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 06/20/2019

Car stalls while in motion. Usually this is when I am slowing down or when I have come to a stop. It starts right up again but sometimes will stall immediately after restarting multiple times. Sometimes it will stall multiple times a day and sometimes it doesn't stall for a week or more. I took it to a mechanic and he had no idea what the problem was. My VIN number was not included in the previous recalls but it appears to be the same problem.

15 Car Stall problem of the 2010 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 03/29/2019

While driving, many times my car lose power and stall out. Rate of speed doesn't seem to affect whether the car stalls. I have to throw the car in park real fast and re-crank it and it typically starts back up. If the car were to stall out while making a turn or in heavy traffic, this could cause a major accident. It is unknown what is causing this, but I did see a recall online that stated the battery terminal might be the cause of the loss of electrical operation.

19 Car Stall problem of the 2014 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 09/13/2018

This vehicle has had countless sporadic acceleration issues and feel as though it would stall/loose power but it has actually completely stalled on me on 3 occasions. 1st time: I was driving the vehicle at about 10 mph looking for a parking spot and as I pressed the gas pedal, the vehicle would shudder and would not accelerate and then the engine completely stopped as I was trying to move forward in the parking lot. I had to restart the engine. I took the care to a Nissan dealership. The car had approximately 3,300 miles on it. I was told they could not find/recreate the problem and the car did not have a recall. Nothing was done. 2nd time: I was driving straight down a regular street at about 30 mph and as I tried accelerating, the car started shuddering and again, would not accelerate any more. I had to coast/pull the car over into a nearby neighborhood. 3rd time: I was on the freeway going about 50 mph when the car would jerk as I pressed the gas pedal, the rpm gage jumped around, and the car would lose power so I had to coast to the side of the freeway. The vehicle came to a complete stop. I restarted the car and tried to accelerate enough to enter the freeway at a safe speed, but would only get to a safe speed after driving the car forward in the emergency lane for a few minutes. Then, after I was able to enter the freeway, the car would lose power again and I would have to coast off to the edge of the freeway away from speeding vehicles. It was night time and visibility was low because it was a unlit highway in the middle of the desert between nevada and arizona. I was lucky not have been hit by a car. I towed the vehicle to a Nissan dealership and was informed the cvt transmission need replacing. It cost $4,607. 83 (with car rental) to replace. The car had about 77,000 miles at the time. I do not trust this vehicle anymore, even after the replaced transmission.

Failure Date: 07/31/2017

I"m documenting the scary situations I've experinced with my 2017 Nissan Sentra sr turbo. On 7/31/17 the vehicle started to stall at an intersection, then came to a complete stop. The engine turned off and I was left without any ability to controll the car. I was able to get it started again trying to make it back home it barely made it at a maximum speed of 10 miles/hr. It had to be towed to a dealer for serviced it was completelly undrivable. They said the battery needed to be replaced. I drove back to work after the repairs. That evening leaving work the same thing happened. Had to call again to have the car towed to the dealer again. The next day I got a call from the service person telling me the alternator had gone out, and that the part would take 2 weeks to come in. Meanwhile I contacted Nissan corp. To le them know of the situation and the other various times I'd to bringin the car in for repairs since I purchsed it brand new in 1/14/17 . I told them this car is putting my life and others in danger and that I belived it was a lemmon. A few days later I got a call telling me that my case had been moved up in their priority list, however they did't let me know that this situation was happening to other custormers. Last week I got a call telling me that Nissan corp was in no possition to take the car back, but that they were willin to offer me either $1000. 00 back or an extended warranty on the car of 100. 000 miles/8 years, which at this point I'm not willingto comit to either one.

Car stalled, it scared her a lot being she was on the freeway, she was abel to pull over half scared to death because the steering wheel got stiff not knowing the car had stalled and as you know when a car stalles and your ignition is on on all your warning lights cycle in the middle of a busy freeway, she was very fortunate she did not have a accident, this happened all of a sudden, had never done it before, my son took it to get it checked at a parts store and said it had a bad battery so he replaced it. She's a college student, after night class was going back to her apartment, getting off the freeway on to the ramp came to a light and turned green so she did not have to stop as she was turning car stalled again in the middle of the intersection, she panicked because she thought a car or truck would rear end her in the middle of the intersection. Car stalled and did not want to start for a few minutes until it finally srated and was able to get home. Did ot want to take any chances took it to the dealer next day and diagnostic was the crankshaft sensor was bad, seems to be working fine, I hope she does not have to go through that experience ever again. What really bothers me is that she could of had a very serious accident and now I go online and find out that there is hundreds of people going through the same experience and Nissan does not cover this defect that they say only certain models or engine size were in there recall cost over $300. 00 dollars to get it fixed, plus my car also has a other defect witch some times has a hard time starting because fuel pump looses pressure, they say there is a repair kit you can buy to fix the problem, but it is a defect and should be recalled, it cost about thorpe same amount as if you were to replace the whole fuel pump.
