The car was in motion when I loss 90% acceleration and velocity while driving. Very, very scary! I was on the highway when this occurred. I proceeded to check the battery, alternator, and starter by aaa when a service call was placed to inspect the vehicle at my home. Aaa's. They informed me that the battery, alternator and starter are great and that these things were not the reason why the check engine light came on and has remained on. The car is only 3yrs 11mnths old. I get the standard oil change but Nissan has discontinued to use conventional oil. Which is the recommended oil for my car. I also get the car serviced as needed. It is extremely dangerous to drive my car. I cannot drive it period. It suddenly loses power 60 to 120 seconds when the car is in motion.

Check engine light came on with a code p0101. I had maf sensor replaced with Nissan part and check engine light is still on. Now I am getting a reading for low voltage for the maf sensor. After researching, I have found that this is a very common problem. I now have to take car in to have electrical wiring and computer checked because there is some problem with the car's computer communicating with maf sensor. Secondary problem is now the traction light randomly keeps illuminating and car loses acceleration from time to time. Car only has 51,000 miles on it.

Purchased my car in Aug. Of 2017. Jan. 2018 was the first of 7 times I have taken my car in for the check engine light. Case is at Nissan north America in arbitration where they want to �compensate� me $1500 to essentially shut my mouth. There is a significant lag in the acceleration not only from a standstill , but also while in motion trying to accelerate to higher speeds. The car will not go faster than 55 mph up a hill. When the car is on slight inclines the vehicle loses power in attempting to climb and the engine tachometer readings climbs well above the designed rpm specifications. This happens on level ground. When accelerated from 45 mph to 55 mph the tachometer would approach 6000 rpms prior to switching gear. It doesn't occur 100% of the time, the vehicle consistently reaches close to 6000 rpms prior to shifting to a higher gear. As I drive I also start to notice a burning smell. My car is consuming excessive fuel compared to another �loaner� 2019 Nissan Sentra sv which has the same exact specifics. My car requires 3 times the fuel to drive a similar distance. When telling Nissan consumer affairs this I was told �this is normal because my car is older and has more mileage on it. � normal wear and tear over a 2 to 3 year period would not account for such a disparity in fuel mileage. Nissan tech support has physically gone to the dealership to try to fix my vehicle and I since taken it in on February 10 for the 7th time. Nissan called because my arbitration poc didn't call them like she was supposed to 4 days ago so now my vehicle sits at the dealership because they don't know how to fix it. . My vehicle is not safe to drive on a public roadway or to transport my 8yo. I have submitted my case to the attorney general's office and bbb auto-line claim. I just want to be in a safe vehicle. I have all the service docs but file is too big to attach.

Was driving and car suddenly wouldn't accerlate and jerking along with check engine light on. Tried to drive it next day but couldn't because car was shaking bad and wouldn't move.

Car starting jerking and came to almost a complete stop out the blue at 136,000-138,000 somewhere in between don't exactly remember. The first sigh something was wrong with car was the rpm would just go up high out of blue while accelerating which was dangerous ad just comming to a stop out of nowhere. We called around trying to get issue fixed but noone could help cause there was no light on in car to see if anything was wrong. Check engine light just came on as of today 10/11/2019 for first time ever at 141,000 and car stops doesnt pull. Does on highway, interstate and while turning.

Number 3 cylinder low compression with only 83k miles on the vehicle. Rough engine driving and check engine light on. Codes p0300 and p0303 displayed. This kind of engine failure shouldn't happen with such low mileage.

All ignition coils and spark plugs are failing after 2 months of being replaced. $700 was paid back on may 20, 2019 to replace all coils and spark plugs. Engine misfired again the other day and same issue diagnosed with coil/plug failure! there is an underlying issue that Nissan needs to have addressed within engine as something is causing the coils to continually misfire! my car was driving straight the other day on Sunday when the vehicle started to buck wildly and check engine light flashing on.

I've had this 2016 Nissan Sentra for 2 years & 5 months. Today June 29,2019 2:15 pm while driving home on a regular street my car engine just shut down without any warning. While still moving no lights on the dashboard. Steering wheel is is hard to turn after a minute a couple of items lighted up on the dashboatd like check engine light, oil etc. . . Tried to pull over to the side but the steering wheel was hard to maneuver good thing there were no on coming cars on the road. I waited a vouple minutes then restarted the car & it started. Turned off the radio , aur cpndition & unplugged the charger & drove home without any issues but was scared that it would stop again.

Ive been having issues with my 2013 Sentra sr sputtering randomly and out of nowhere shakes and completly shuts off no matter the speed im doing. Which has me concerned as this is becoming a big safety issue now thru out the years its gotten proggresivly worse without any dealership being able to fix this issue cause the car shows no warning lights or a check engine light. This happens when I'm stopped and moving happens randomly and sometimes the car wont accelerate past 3 rpm's.

While running the vehicle looses power and struggles to go faster entering freeways or up hills also have to use more gas lately. Check engine light lit up. . . Replaced the part to no avail. . . Light is off a day or two then returns. . . Which means issue is not fixed.

I own the sr trim with the 2. 0 litre engine, I too experienced the valve knocking and it would trigger a check engine light. I took it to a near by Nissan dealer and they said that this is a known issue. This was at 75,000 miles. On 12/12/2018 with no warning the engine through a rod on the lower portion of the engine. I was driving 30 mph I heard a rattle and a thump, everything went dead on the vehicle.

The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not associated with a recall and did not offer further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 124,000. Aw.

While driving intermittant stalling, restarts right away, no check engine light comes on also may almost stall upon coming to a stop light, begins to idle rough, occurs very intermittant, when purchased pre-owned similar problem was rectified by replacement of some type of emissions harness has been back to dealer numerous times and they keep charging me for trying to repair and nothing seems to change still random stalling.

However, now the check engine light has reappeared and went off twice in the past 30 day. I've kept up with maintenance since my initial purchase of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and the contact was informed that the engine wiring harness needed to be replaced. The repair was still pending. I have owned this car for 2 years. Every year, as it starts to warm up in the spring, the same problem recurs. I have had it to several repair shops, only to be told that it cannot be fixed. As I am driving on the freeway, it will suddenly start to decelerate, and I must pull off the road and let the car sit, turned off, for 20-40 minutes. Last week, the check engine light came on, and when I took it back to the dealer, they want $3000 to fix the car. This has been a problem since the first summer after I bought it.

Check engine light is always on, car suddenly cuts off, and does not restart immediately. Recalled other VIN's but not all 2003 Nissan Sentras. This is a problem with all Sentras of those years. The problem seems to be the crankshaft position sensor failure/engine stall. It is very dangerous with as many of these cars that are out on the road for it to just keep shutting off while in traffic while driving. There needs to be a recall open to all Sentras with this problem.

The transmission has a lot of hesitate and bad vibration while driving. Check engine light came on and it's due to small evap leak but have replaced cap and still stays on once awhile u smell gas fumes.

I was driving to work on the freeway going about 60mph when all of a sudden my 2006 Nissan Sentra ( se 1. 8) gave a small jerk and the rpms reduced drastically. I also began to lose my steering and no matter how hard I pressed the gas pedal the car wouldn't accelerate. I was able to make it to the shoulder, I turned off the car and after a few minutes it was fine. Then later that night as I was sitting with the engine at an idle, the car suddenly died but it did started back up. I decided to take it to my mechanic and it died 2 or 3 times while I was driving it. The mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. My check engine light never came on and the car didn't throw a code. I brought the car home and parked it because I do not feeling safe driving it. Tonight I sat in the car and turned it on to see if it would start. It did start but every second or so there was an loud click from the engine after which the car would give a sizeable shudder. Also the rpms rev'd when I put the car in neutral or park. They would dip when the car was in drive or reverse. I see on the web there is a recall for the camshaft and crankshaft position sensor. I haven't called Nissan yet but after reading other complaints on this website I have no hope they will honor the recall as my VIN isn't included. I hope someone at the NHTSA forces an expanded recall. It isn't right that those of us having problems have to pay for a known problem. In addition, my car is now sitting because I'm scared of driving it just to have it die, causing me to lose steering and possibly brakes. I will let my mechanic know about the recall to see if in the end, my car is also one of those unlucky ones that have the same issue but don't fall under the recall.
