The contact own a 2006 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph while exiting the highway and as the vehicle slowed, the vehicle engine shut down. The vehicle power steering and brakes lost functionality, additionally the dash board went blank. The contact pulled safely off the road and the vehicle would not restart. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and returned to his residence. The contact is an independent mechanic and diagnosed the vehicle as having a engine crankshaft position sensor code (p0335). Intermittently while driving at any speed and shifting any gear the vehicle stalled. The dealership inspected the vehicle 10 times on different occasions, and could not duplicate or correct the problem. There were numerous probles with engine stalling, the maf had to be replace numerous times, the check engine and the reverse light did not work properly. (the wiring harness also repeated intermittent problems) the engine would stall when the clutch was depressed and when in neutral idling and when shifting the gears. The front speaker/tweeters made cracking noises. The cooling fan would come on when not activated.

At 32,000 miles the consumer had to take the vehicle back to the dealership 15 times for repairs. The main issue was at 15,000 miles. The fuel pump was replaced. After that, the consumer had problems when turning, when he took his foot off the gas the vehicle sputered. The service manager test drove the vehicle and said it was normal. The consumer never experienced any problems until the fule pump was replaced. The vehicle had other problems such as 2 new fan belts, trunk flooded once. The heater control was replaced 4 times.
