Engine Oil Leaking Problems of Nissan Sentra

Started back in the beginning of 2019. I noticed that the oil has been going down and no external leak. I have to put 1/2 a quart of oil a week into the engine at this point. I have noticed that there are others that are having the same issue with no resolve from Nissan.

The engine light is on , every time I step on my gas it jerks back speed is slow also especially driving up hill makes it slower. I get leakage of oil when I just gotten oil changed not to long ago. I'm afraid my Nissan Sentra will lose engine power anytime soon.

The oil pressure sensor gasket faulty on the 2012 models, have had it repaired 3 times, leaks oil on top of engine, the last time lost almost all of oil. It is also something that when it first happens is not necessarily noticed by the consumer until an oil change, but the problem so far has occurred 3x and each time has gotten worse.

Hi , I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra ser , this car is equipped with a qr25de engine , the piston rings came defective from factory , Nissan doesn't assume their responsibility , but they sell improve piston rings for this type of engine . . . Engine oil disappear with stock piston rings, car doesn't have any leak . . . . Machine shops know this problem . . . Consequence of this matter is that people brakes connecting rods , cylinders have uneven waste . . . Nissan only give 60k miles warranty on power train , but before that I notify them about this problem , they said that "was cylinder head". My point is the next: " if there is not any problem with the stock piston rings why they sell improved piston rings? " . . . . They know that are a problem with the stock piston rings. . . . I drove the 2007 Nissan Sentra for about 7 months with almost no issues except the "check engine light was on. " I took it to the deal for the scheduled maintenances and had regular oil changes, and used premium gas. While driving on the highway going about 60mph, the car stalled and caught on fire. I was not able to pull over. It was a very traumatic experience. Recently I have received a recall notice concerning the brake fluid leak. I know that fluid and electricity do not mix, so it may very well have been the cause of the fire.

: the consumer stated while driving, the vehicle vibrated and jumped from side to side. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they determined the rack and pinion and power assist system needed to be replaced. The head gaket was leaking, the driver side window was I noperative, the oil stick was broken. Updated 02/24/06.
