The idle on my 2017 Nissan Sentra sr turbo surges every now and then, and when it is below ~55 degrees outside, it feels like it runs rough when it is in neutral (6 speed manual).

On 2006 Nissan Sentra se-r spec v, I noticed a drop in power and excessive oil consumption. Upon pulling the header I noticed pieces of the catalyst broken up in the exhaust pipe. The egr system may have sucked in pieces of debris damaging the cylinder walls.

2012 Nissan Sentra. Consumer writes in regards to inadequate cabin heat in winter. The consumer stated he noticed this past winter, the vehicle did not heat up to normal operating temperatures on a timely basis when the outside temperature was roughly 15 degrees or colder. Instead, the coolant temperature gauge moved about 1/3 of the way and just stayed there for an extended period of 20 minutes or more. As a result, the heater put out only minimally warm air. Eventually, the vehicle fully warmed up and the heat output was normal. The dealer was aware there was a problem, but was unable to correct it, and they had not received any technical advice or assistance from Nissan.

Engine knock, my car has a piston slapping around in the engine. I was told by dealer "sims Nissan in warren, ohio" to drive my car with the bad engine until they get a new engine which would be around 3-5 days to receive. They would then get me a rental car while they put the engine in. I informed the owner ken sims that this vehicle is unsafe to drive and he told me nothing would happen if I did not run the engine at high rpm's that would then cause the piston to go threw the engine. I once again told him this is unsafe and if he was so confident that nothing was going to happen to put it in writing. I was then told that he would have a huge lawsuit on his hands if something happened and now knowing if I run it at high rpms and the engine blows then I am responsible. I told him again the car was unsafe and he told me that I would be fine. Tired or arguing, I drove the car home from dealer going 20mph with 4 ways so I would not run the engine at high rpm's. The car is setting in my driveway, afraid to drive since dealer refused to give me another loaner or pay for a rental. So, I am out. Dealer has terrible customer service, and I feel as I am not being treated fairly, was degraded like I did not know what I was talking about, had to drive an unsafe vehicle on the road where the engine could have gone out of control and harmed me and others on the road. And to think they want me to continue to drive this until a new engine comes in. I have more common sense and will not put myself or others at risk driving this vehicle. The vehicle also has a recall for the master cylinder having a crack. Dealer has not even talked about fixing that, and I have not received a recall notice on this yet either, it was posed in July. This is now October.

Hi, my name is clarence mabane. I have a complaint/recommendation about the manner in which a vehicle recall is being handled/performed. I am the owner of a 2002 Nissan Sentra se-r spec v. This vehicle has/had a recall in place to fix a condition that would lead to unrepairable engine failure. The condition you may be aware of as a pre-cat (catalytic converter located on the exhaust manifold in addition to the main one) failure condition. Basically unburned fuel is burned in the pre-cat resulting in its disintegration. It is then sucked into the engine causing cylinder wall damage. This condition results in the engine burning excessive amounts of oil, a further degrade in compression over time and overall engine failure before it should expire under normal conditions. This situation happened to me and I was notified in any manor at any time about any recall even during service for the recalled item. This repair was in excess of a thousand dollars. At which time I was told nothing about the particles being sucked into my engine causing my the engine wear which caused the oil condition. At the very least I should have been advised of the recall at the time of repair and of my oil being contaminated. Instead I was told it would be fine to drive 100+ miles to my local Nissan dealership. It would of great help is you could look into this matter or make recommendations on how else this would be best handled?.
- the contact received a recall letter two months ago for the 2003 Nissan Sentra, but the vehicle failed last year. While driving the weather was poor, the temperature dropped to 17 degrees and itstarted snowing ,he was driving under blizzard conditions. He was tried to slow down and the vehicle stalled on the highway. Due to the icy conditions a truck had stopped, but the contact's vehicle slid into the rear of the truck. His insurance company stated he was at fault. He called the manufacturer, who informed him that there was no recall, but that they would send someone to look at the vehicle. Nissan confirmed the insurance findings, and said it was not their fault and that nothing was wrong with the car. In August 2006 the vehicle repeated the same failure. Whie going 3 mph and the car stalled while making a right hand turn. The vehicle lost power and almost rolled into another vehicle. In January he took the vehicle to a repair shop, it started to rain and the vehicle stalled again. The check engine light turned on. He took the vehicle to the dealer, and they repaired the vehicle. After picking up the vehicle it stalled again and he could not start it. The current mileage was 77,000 and the failure mileage was 62,000.

I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra ser that continues to have problems. It stalls, dies in the middle of the road and sometimes wont start. There is no warning as to when its going to die. It feels like it loses power while your driving down the road. Check engine light comes on and when I take it to the dealer they tell me there is nothing the matter with it they have replace the chamber assembly throttle and then replaced the crank sensor assembly. Sometimes the check engine light does not even come on but when they scan it for a code a code comes up or sometimes no codes come up. This car had been back to the dealer 10 times and they still have not corrected the problem.
While driving, engine check light came on. After taking it to the dealer I was told the mass flow/ air flow sensor was bad and was due to me using an non-oem airfilter. I sent the airfilter back to purolator, who responded that their product met all oem requirements. I looked up the recall information and found out there was a recall for the "service engine light" coming on due to other issues. I took it back to the dealer, who never told me abou the recall, and they completed the work. I have yet to have the mass flow/ air flow sensor replaced due to cost $700 as well as my feeling is that this is a defective product. I have looked through the NHTSA web site and found several other mass flow sensor problems that have yet to be address for this model year car. I have contacted Nissan and they told me the dealer knows what is best for my vehicle and they would not do anything!.

2002 Nissan Sentra with engine failure due to pre-catalytic converter. Consumer states that there was a recall for this problem causing engine failure. He states that he wasn't even informed when the vehicle was being repaired for the failure. The consumer stated unburned fuel is burned in the pre-catalytic converter which is located on the exhaust manifold. When the unburned fuel was burned it caused disintegration. It was then sucked into the engine causing cylinder wall damage, which resulted in the engine burning excessive amounts of oil. The consumer stated he experienced the problem which cost him thousands of dollars.
