36 Suspension problem of the 2016 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 06/01/2018

There is a clicking noise when stopping and accelaratiing, this clicking sound comes from the front tire area, it started about 8 mos ago and now it is getting worse, I bought the car new. It also has like a whistling noise when driving 65-70 and over. Two issues the clicking noise coming from the front tire area and the whistling noise when driving over 65 mph. I've never have bumped the car over the sideside walk for the clicking noise it just started. I don't know why the car makes the whistling noise at high speed.

37 Suspension problem of the 2012 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 04/27/2018

"cvt transmission issues" 2012 Nissan Sentra sr 2. 0l with 103,000 miles on the vehicle and maintained adequately since getting the vehicle in 2013. For the last six months, I have been experiencing my vehicle loss of acceleration on only being able to go 10 mph max when my vehicle goes into limp mode. This happens to me on the interstate 64 westbound from richmond, va to harrisburg, va going uphill where I was going 70 - 75 mph when the vehicle loss acceleration and my speed dropped dramatically almost causing a wreck. This is due to being in the left lane and having nowhere, I could pull off the interstate readily available. To me, this is a significant safety concern as this is happening now after being driven for 30 minutes to an hour. Took the vehicle to midas where I had them run a diagnostic test on the car to see if there are any codes on the car since there is "no check engine light on. " the technician came back with the following: 'tech found that the cvt transmission is having internal problems-vehicle us not safe to drive. Tech found code p1722 est vehicle speed signal, p0744 at tr sw function, p1778 step motor. Also, vehicle needs front struts and rear shocks - no control of steering wheel. it appears Nissan has had problems with the cvt transmission from their 2007 - 2010 Sentra and issued an extended ten year - 120,000 miles warranty. Nissan needs to extend the warranty to every year that Nissan has used the cvt transmission as they are unreliable and eventually will cause a fatal accident on the highways with their transmission going into limp mode. Would like my vehicle added to the cvt extended warranty - 10 years + 120,000 miles since my vehicle is experiencing the same issues as the 2007 - 2010 vehicles. Occurred on interstate, highway, and city.

38 Suspension problem of the 2013 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 03/22/2018

I had to replace tbe tie rod and steering gear at 70,000 miles in Nov 2017. I've just been told that the transmission needs to be replaced and I am only at 76,000 miles. T am in an active bankruptcy so I can't replace the car because the car dealership will approve me for a loan that has 18 percent interest. This is cost me a lot of stress. A lawsuit needs to be filed.

39 Suspension problem of the 2015 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 02/15/2018

Takata recall. The drivers side axel boot started making a clicking noise at only 25,000 miles. I have been told that the whole axel needs to be replaced. This has not been from any damage caused to the vehicle, just normal driving conditions wear and tear. This component should not have started having problems at only 25,000 miles. I first noticed it when slowing down to brake, and now it does it when you slow down to stop and when you take off again. My vehicle only has 39,000 miles on it. While it is still driveable, this is not something that should've worn out already, and the shop is telling me that it will cost me about $1400 to repair.

49 Suspension problem of the 2014 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 03/05/2016

Car was purchased on March,2014, we have replaced the all 4 tires already, bearing and strut needed to replaced, the battery died, which was replaced on Tuesday April 19th, 2016, by pepboys, because Nissan did not cover it. We have radio problem. Sometimes the car does not pick up the key and does not start. Sometimes the indications on the dash board such as mileage, gas mileage goes blank . Also my radio stops and the navigation system does not start. Radio has been fixed 2 times already. The biggest concern is the mechanical problems, because even with a new battery that is 2 days old, the car does not start sometimes. Also courtesy Nissan in richardson texas refused to help us with any of this, even though we bought extended 100,000 mile warranty. Car has 40,000 miles on it now. At the time these problems started it has 36,000 miles. I also found information online, that is this car is recalled, however when I call Nissan they said it was not. I have a one year old and if this car is unsafe, Nissan should acknowledge that.

51 Suspension problem of the 2010 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 10/13/2015

When I turn on my car and begin to drive it, it makes a really loud noise. It is hard for me to turn either right or left. Also when I am accelerating in the freeway or in the street the car slows down and no matter how much I accelerate it stays in the same speed. I took it in to pepboys auto center and was told that it has an internal noise and that it has something to do with the electrical steering. They also mentioned that the car can lock while im driving or turning and in turn can cause me to have an accident , so that I should take it to the Nissan dealer since pepboys does not fix electrical issues. I however do not have money to take it into the dealer. While driving I was also not able to accelerate quickly enough when getting into the freeway because the car slows down and does not allow me to go any faster.

55 Suspension problem of the 2014 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 07/02/2014

Right after buying my Sentra I noticed creeking everytime I would turn then took it in and they replaced the struts. It still creeked after they replaced the struts so they added rubber rings it helped for a few days but its still creeking but every so often. 2 nd my car pulses when coming to a stop and when I release the break as well. 3rd the is a whisling noise that gets louder the faster I go and if its windy its even louder, it sounds like it is on the front left side. My car also shakes roughly time to time. The dealer is now saying they cant hear anything therefor will not fix any of these issues. I called Nissan USA and opened a case she said the same thing, if they cant duplicate the issue they wont fix it, then I was told to by rep to trade it in if I dont like it.

56 Suspension problem of the 2012 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 12/10/2013

I recently purchased a 2012 Nissan Sentra. I immediately noticed the vehicle drifting to the left. As part of a will owe from the dealership I asked for this to be repaired. First alignment. After the alignment was done I was informed the "specs" were fine and the technician mentioned this could also be road crown or torque pull which is normal for front wheel drive vehicles. ?? I asked for a second look, this time the service manager went with me for the test drive and noticed the drifting and kept the vehicle. They did another alignment (2nd) specs ok and replace the oem tires with a knock- off set. The vehicle is still drifting. I informed Nissan at this point to see if they can step in. They recommended taking it to another dealership. I brought the vehicle to a local dealership, third alignment. Specs ok . I continued my complaint with the Nissan rep. And they had a engineer come out to look at the vehicle. Fourth alignment. His opinion this is a characteristic of Sentra models and stated no adjustments, no abnormalities and it drives this way because this is a different type of steering column. Wow I would think Nissan would be more concerned about a dangerous driving "characteristic" on one of their vehicles. This process has taken two and half months, four alignments, three separate opinions of the drifting issue and other than a replacement of a set of knock-off tires the problem still exist. . This is a dangerous issue that Nissan is not willing to fix. I have seen on carcompaints. Com that this is not an isolated issue there are quite a few complaints about this same drifting on the same vehicle so that proves the engineer right but Nissan is still not willing correct the problem. Sad and dangerous attitude to have. I am confident this will end up on a recall. For now I'm stuck with a dangerous vehicle that I wouldn't want anyone else to drive.

57 Suspension problem of the 2012 Nissan Sentra

Failure Date: 06/26/2013

The airbags did not deploy when my husband wrecked the 2012 Nissan Sentra 6-24-13. My husband swerved to miss a deer that was in the road, hit a culvert, got air born, took out a reflector sign, and crashed into the ground. The car had +$7,000 worth of damages and the airbag did not deploy. I think there is a manufacturing issue. It got air born and hit a culvert. I think an airbag should have deployed.
