Vehicle Shudder Problems of Nissan Sentra

My vehicle has been shuddering when it shifts and also jerks during shifting and the vehicle stalled while I was driving on the hwy, and stalled when I was stopped at the red light, I don't understand why its happening at 117107 miles, I was told it was my transmission acting up, I have a 3 year old daughter and the vehicle is starting to feel unsafe to drive.

The vehicle has been having transmission issues recently. When accelerating the transmission causes the car to stop and then to jerk forward and shudder. When reversing this has also become an issue. This is extremely concerning, especially when attempting to reach the speed limit on a highway. Even entering normal streets is a cause for concern since the car will stop and shudder suddenly. Because of transmission concerns, I took the vehicle to be serviced and was told the transmission was bad but was out of the extended warranty that Nissan provided as a settlement in a class action lawsuit regarding the transmission issue which appears to be a systemic problem with Nissan's cvt transmission system.

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle started to shake when his wife tried to accelerate. The contact's wife was able to pull off the road and restart the vehicle and safely drive home. The dealer mcdonough Nissan (1775 avalon parkway, mcdonough, GA 30253, (770) 282-5077) stated that the extended warranty was active up to 84,000 for issue that was diagnosed with the transmission. A diagnostic test was performed and confirmed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer confirmed that the warranty was good up to 84,000 miles. Additionally, the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer stated that a letter was mailed to extend the warranty coverage for the transmission however, the contact had not received the letter. The manufacturer called the contact back and refused to provide any help. The failure mileage was 112,000.

When I am on the interstate and I am going between 60mph and 80mph my car starts to shake. The entire front of my car begins to shake and you can hear it as well. When I start to brake or slow down, it's gets louder and the shaking gets worse.

2016 Nissan Sentra driving in the highway especially, I will have the rpm jump from 2 to 4. 5 when driving with cruise control on at 73mph, I lose power and drop to 55-60mph. I depress the gas to bring it back up to speed and the car will jerk and shake before I am able to gain a safe speed again. There is times when I have to pull over, rest for a few minutes and restart my car to get to my destination. I had to take my car into a Nissan dealership service, my cvt transmission is failing and could stop at any moment, I need to replace it for $4,400. Nissan is not taking responsibility for the defective cvt, the car is 4 years old. I bought it as my most reliable vehicle.

2014 Nissan Sentra rpm's keep fluctuating between 2000 and 3000 rpms and make the car feel jerky. No codes thrown when hooked up to a computer. When speeding up after turning corners vehicle shudders and has a hard time taking off again.

When on the freeway, once vehicle has reached 50-70 mph, the rpms jump up and down. Super dangerous as I am then unable to maintain control of vehicle and have to cut through traffic to a shoulder. Also on take off and stopping at red lights, car shudders and feels like it is going to stall. I know there is a class action lawsuit out there as many drivers are having this issue but I should not have to pay $5 in transmission repair on a car that have 60k miles just to wait for reimbursement. Nissan needs to step up and handle this as a recall.

When giving the gas when taking off vehicle shudders. When on the freeway around 50-60 mph the rpms jump up and down and the car jerks and sometimes feels like it may stall out at high speeds. This is extremely dangerous on California freeways.

Car was bought brand new and at 64k miles transmission failed. Vehicle started to shake on acceleration then it would just shut down on the freeway or when parked. When the car was in park or stopped at a light it would also start shaking and shut down. Acceleration was also very slow even when flooring the gas pedal the car would not go beyond 20-40 mph.

When I turn air conditioner on, car begins to shake, slow down and makes straining noises. It resumes speed and quietens when air conditioner is turned off.

Been complaining since 2016 about shuddering if car and loss of power. I've had an acceleration issue causing an accident in 2016, reported it to Nissan dealership. They ssid I was crazy under 28000 miles at time. Have complained since now in oct 10 going on PA turnpike at posted 70mph llost all power almost causing a major pileup! transmission had to tow vehicle off highway then again tow it back to dealership costiing me over 500. 00 in tows mileage under 48000. Kow they say I need transmission out of warranty must pay 4000. 00 to repair it !! this car has been a deathtrap and should not be allowed on the road. . I want the govt to make Nissanusa pay for all my repairs towing and get a lifetime warranty. Maybe then theyd fix car right !! im afraid to drive it. Ive been on 2 major highways one city street when this occured. Interstate 5279 and PA turnpike then a pgh city street . I'm just grateful I am alive a d others were not hurt this past oct 10 2019.

I was driving home from work through a residential area and the vehicle made some grinding noise underneath and died suddenly. It was towed to the mechanic and I was told it will be $4,000. 00 for a new transmission. The car is 3 years old and has 60,873 miles on it. Naturally the warranty expires at 60,000 miles. I still have 3 years of monthly payments left. Naturally, when I google the Nissan Sentra 2016, you can see all the other complaints with their transmission.

Takata recall. My car started to vibrate between shifting gears when accelerating from a stand atill. This happened when my car had about 89,000 miles. Took it in the dealership and they diagnosed the issue to be the transmission. My car is still at the dealership. Upon further research I found that Nissan Sentra cvt transmission is a common problem.

It is ridiculous that so many people with the same car have had the same exact problem and no investigation or action has been done by the NHTSA yet. As others have complained before, I have had moments where my car would have the vdc light go off and the car would begin to not accelerate over 2,000 rpms and would shake the car in a violent manner. I have had error codes p0101 and p0725 come up and dissapear through a period of six months. I have had to install a new oem mass air flow sensor to try to fix p0101 and it has returned on and off. The car has been acting much weaker than before and would have lots of hesitation whenever you would give it any gas. I have tried to search online to fix this but have come up with no definite answer. I just want my car to be reliable and that is what I expected when this car was purchased yet for it to start failing before the 100k mark, it shows how defective Nissan products are. I have put a thousand dollars trying to fix it only to find out nothing has changed. A recall needs to be done to fix this. Guaranteed last time I will buy a Nissan for sure.

Bought certified used with carfax in Feb. 2018. Car shuddering/jerking/grinding when accelerating, starting at around 70,000 miles. I asked Nissan about this and they basically told me I will need a new transmission - at 79,000! happy I purchased an extended power-train warranty, so hopefully it is covered. Should've bought another Honda or Toyota.

The cvt transmission is failing . It causes the vehicle to shake and shudder when changing gears. The rpms will rise and fall by itself often. Very slow acceleration due to the slippage of the cvt transmission. Dangerous to try and merge with or pull out into traffic.

I was driving down the interstate at 75mph on the interstate and the car began shaking and rattling so hard I thought NY tire was falling off. I had to hit the brakes with a semi behind me and a semi beside me and try to get onto the shoulder from the left lane. Come to find out it is the cvt transmission that Nissan knew was bad in the first place.

Complete transmission failure with no warning sign at all. A failure so traumatizing, it feels like I've been in an accident, and I'm weary of getting behind another wheel. So I'm driving at 70mph in the middle lane of I-4, and my car violently died. Thank god the man behind me was paying attention, and had thought I'd just been in an accident. If it wasn't for him, there would have been no way I could have gotten over to the break down lane. If it wasn't for him, I surely would have been in an accident and possibly died. How does a transmission fail in such a spectacular fashion with zero warning? does someone need to die before Nissan finally steps up for their error and stops selling these death traps? is it any coincidence warranties are being doubled across the board for all 2003-2010 Nissan cvt vehicles?.

Automatic transmission- rpms don't match mph, car shakes when idle, noticeable clunk when switching from park/revere/drive, noticeable strain on car when going faster than 60mph. Transmission blown at 30,000, repaired, blown again at 72,000.

In very hot weather the car will shake when stopping or sitting at a traffic light and occasionally the engine will stop. The engine has also stopped while the car is moving. This only happens on very hot days.

When a transmission on this car (Nissan Sentra ) broke down on me it locks up where you can no longer move . It happened to me on a freeway and almost caused a major and if not a deadly accident on the freeway the car will then shake and it doesn't allow you to move out of the way.

While taking vehicle to dealer to el paso casa Nissan for drift/ pull and constant input to keep in center line on windy day and trany on up hill faliure from a dead start. My wife's vehicle stall and shake almost like engine will shut, almost on stop on breaking. Happened. Twice, first at stop light about half mile away from my house, secon at gas station about 3 miles away. A/c on.

Cvt failure- transmission slips, jerks, and violently shudders like I am slamming my breaks. Car is scary to drive and someone will get hurt. Nissan unable to address the issue due to no trouble codes stored. Well they cleared the code that was stored when I first brought it cvt clutch issue. High rpms and struggles to switch gears. Went down a ramp on the interstate and almost lost control the car shuddered so bad. Also jerks and sputters when pulling off from a red light or stop sign.

I own a 2003 Nissan Sentra s-er spec v. When I shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear at rpms of 2500 and higher, the shifter feels like it pops out of 1st gear. Also, when shifting into 3rd gear you can hear and feel a grind (with the clutch down). These 2 problems happen on occasion, especially on a cold start. However, I can actually make my car grind gears by holding the clutch down and moving the shifter in and out of 3rd gear.
