There is a vox smell/fumes/vapors from the diesel power plant that keeps coming into the cab causing the occupants to inhale these potential poisonous/hazardous gases while driving the vehicle. This has happened numerous times. I've taken the vehicle back to the Nissan dealership several times and they keep telling me that nothing is wrong with the vehicle except for me not driving it enough.

43 Equipment problem of the 2017 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 01/01/2020

My 2017 Nissan Titan xd started maing this strange odor in the cabin that occurs when I drive over 30 minutes on the highway. It is a sweet burning chemical smell. When I pull over, you can smell it outside the vehicle. I have 80,000 miles on it and it started at around 60000 miles. I took it in for service and they replaced the cabin filter. I still smell it though. Over the last year of driving, I notice I get very bad headaches and lately my lungs feel weak. I have been coughing for nearly a month and do not have a fever. I also feel dizzy when I drive. I stopped driving the vehicle now for reasons beyond just this. I called Nissan and they claim it is unheard of. I tried to get a mechanic in a rush, but apparently they do not have anymore diesel mechanics. To make matters worse, I cant get to work now, Nissan refuses to offer me a loaner car in the meantime while I wait for repair. Reading forums online, I see this is an issue with this same year and model . I am now stuck with a truck that is toxic to drive and am not being helped at all by the manufacturer. When I do call them and tell them my VIN#, they hesitate to respond to my claims and hang up. They finally took a claim after I told them I might contact an attorney. When I ask why the vehicle was discontinued last year, their response is that it was for financial reasons. I feel like this truck is a complete death trap and making me sick, they ignore the fact it is causing harm and I need assistance please.

44 Equipment problem of the 2018 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 12/24/2019

2018 Nissan Titan pro-4x with 7118 miles. Truck has begun to rev high during acceleration, slowing acceleration & shifting. The truck also randomly down shifts during highway use. This takes place during normal or extreme acceleration on both highway & street use. This is extremely dangerous due to the lack of acceleration that may be needed in order to safely merge into traffic.

45 Equipment problem of the 2016 Nissan Titan

The vehicle is loosing power when making a sharp right turn. It's like the engine is cutting off from it power source and you feel the engine is stall ready to cut off. Then, regain power few seconds later. This doesn't happen on the highway at when driving at very high speed. It happened on local road between 30 to 50 mph.

49 Equipment problem of the 2004 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 09/11/2019

My vehicle is a 2004 Nissan Titan pickup truck and when I'm driving and I start to slow down to stop when I get about 40 miles per hour it wants to speed up real fast on me and I'm trying to stop at when it's doing it when it drops down to 25 it does it again and then again at 5 or 10 miles an hour does it is very very very dangerous because of almost wrecked several times it's so bad that it's messed up my brakes because now my my pads are making noises rotors it does it every single time you drive the vehicle.

50 Equipment problem of the 2014 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 08/14/2019

When accelerating from a stop getting on highway or traffic a few times now in light rain the truck went sideways on me or even after stopping at a traffic light it's as if there's ice on the road like the tires are bald rim and tires don't crab the road like they should especially the front right passenger side dealership said the tires were new but it's like the tire and rim don't spend at the same time and then a clunk like a slipped gear back tires don't have traction but the tires are new and have good tread. When going over speed bumps the trucks right passenger side has made a metal to metal loud noise dear said nothings wrong. Since about a month or less of driving the right front tire has caused the warning light on the dash to come on dealer told me just go put air in the tire now these are new tires why would this be happening any bumps I hit the truck hits hard going slow sounds horrible. I feel in the rain or even normal weather this truck shouldn't be slipping spinning out it's a hazard to me and others on the road.

51 Equipment problem of the 2018 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 07/30/2019

I just bought this Nissan Titan and was not in formed of this { takata recall}. . . And what is permaplate soundgard its under the dealers appearance plan . Itold them I did not want things that the manufacture has already put on the truck such as paint protection seat protection chemicales. . I only drove it from the dealer to home so nothing has happened that I can say for sure except locking and unlocking doors seemed different and cruse seemed to work and next time I found it took a while for me to get it to work.

52 Equipment problem of the 2011 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 07/19/2019

The first issue is the a/c system. When the system is being run on the maximum setting there is a audible ticking sound. This sound has been attributed to a part inside the ac unit that's made of plastic that goes bad really quick. The result of this is no ac or no heat and a very expensive cost to repair. The entire dash has to be removed to accomplish the repair. The second issue is the (bcm) body control module. This module controls all the accessory electronics inside and outside the vehicle (tpms, door locks, horns, lights, turn signals, windows, trailer hitch etc. ) Nissan knows this is an issue because of the hundreds of post online about various models of their vehicles with bcm issues. However they have not fixed the problem. There are hundreds many thousands of vehicles that don't have working electronics because Nissan hasn't done a recall and the parts of too expensive for the customers to fix. My vehicle is a 2011 with 58000 miles and none of the door locks work when trying to use the key fob. The tpms comes and goes whenever it wants to. I've had the system reprogrammed and the issues still remain.

53 Equipment problem of the 2019 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 07/01/2019

Truck has a shake between 45-75 mph. Depends on rpms and tire pressure. Does not matter if it is highway or city. Most notable between 65-72mph. Have had it to the dealer 3 times. 1st time, they said it was the tires as there were new and overinflated. Told to drive it a few hundred miles. 2nd time at dealer, the road forced balanced and replaced a tire. No fix. 3rd time, a service tech actually rode with me. Let the vibrations, noted them as well. After we arrived back to the dealer, waited 20 minutes until the service tech came back. Tech stated that the truck has stiff springs and performed as expected. The tech looked like he didn't even believe it. I have heard all three of these scenarios for "fixes" from other Titan owners. It must be the line they sell us. Also, why do not all Titans have the shake? disappointing that Nissan won't acknowledge the issue or attempt to really fix it. Issue has been since day one of ownership, July 2019.

54 Equipment problem of the 2005 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 06/20/2019

For the past three months, I've spent over $3,000 diagnosing and "fixing" erroneous warning lights. This past week, my truck (2005 Titan) would not start. The first time, it just cranked the starter, but would not engage. Now, I can turn the ignition to start and the starter won't even engage (no "clicking" noise, no noise whatsoever). It will start after several attempts, but I have to wait at least 2-3 minutes between each attempt. I've replaced the ecm (at my own expense) and it still does not start properly. It appears (from reading online posts in Titan forums) that the issue is the ipdm (intelligent power distribution module). The symptoms all line up. I feel lucky that my engine has not completely stopped while driving (yet). This is an utter hazard and needs to be addressed before someone loses their life because Nissan will not address the ipdm problem and recall/replace those that are faulty.

55 Equipment problem of the 2016 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 03/22/2019

Vehicle won't properly accelerate especially when making turns. Vehicle is ventilating diesel exhaust gases into cabin when heating or cooling system is on.

56 Equipment problem of the 2005 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 01/21/2019

The gas guage im goning to say sticks for a lack of words but it will say 1/4 tank then instantly drop which we have gotten used to since this has be ongoing and today on my way to the gas station it was at a quarter tank and mid turn died like it ran out of gas since then I've fed it more gas and got it to crank but its not displaying any gas in it by the guage or information center and giving it gas is difficult I put the pump in and start filling and it spits the gas back out.

57 Equipment problem of the 2016 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 11/26/2018

When accelerating the vehicle gets stuck at apx 30rpm. It will stop complete acceleration for apx a minute and then will pick up speed. This continues to happen and has almost put me in two accidents getting hit at intersection and entering on to a ramp, and stalling in traffic on a busy street. I have reported to west texas Nissan and corporate. The vehicle was returned once to me without correcting it and it did it again with a mechanic test driving with me. It is currently in dealership again for the last 40 plus days with them saying they cant detect what it is. I would mention a new engine had to be replaced on this truck with in a month of new purchase. This issue is a safety concern yet Nissan continues to say they cant pick up a code for it. I have videos of it happening and a Nissan mechanic that drove it with me.

58 Equipment problem of the 2005 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 09/05/2018

Exaust flange after muffler rusted and broke with tail pipe facing upward. Hot exaust air is then trapped in wheel well causing damage to abs cables and other electronics in chassis wiring.

59 Equipment problem of the 2005 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 08/09/2018

I was looking on this website and seen 6 recalls for the 2005 Nissan Titan which I have and and noticed there was a recall for the wire harness on the driverside rear door. Well all those wires are broken off no music from the rear speakers on either side. I'm having problems were I try to accelerate and the truck barely wants to move and sometimes takes long to finally start. When your idling it sounds as if it's going to break down. When the a. C. Is on it makes a very loud annoying sound. I've added pics of what I found on your website as I've included a pic of the frayed wires from the harness and Nissan of melbourne isn't trying to fix this being a recalled part.

60 Equipment problem of the 2006 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 08/08/2018

61 Equipment problem of the 2018 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 07/16/2018

I bought the truck brand new on 7/16/2018. While driving home from dealership and next day on smooth highway between 60mph - 80mph you can feel it shaking. You can watch the passenger seat shake as if on a unloaded washing machine. Even with a passenger they noticed they shake too. It is a very noticeable shake especially around 72mph, as it seems like a wheel unbalanced or alignment is not right. I brought truck back into the don davis Nissan dealership on 7/17/18 but the dealership just shrugged it off saying it might be a flat spot in the tire and did nothing. Told me to drive it for a dew hundred miles. This is a pretty bad shake when driving which I have never seen on other brand new trucks.

62 Equipment problem of the 2017 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 05/29/2018

The drivers side rear door will lock. You can not unlock the door with the key, pushing any buttons, using the fob, nor can you unlock it from the inside. You must use the master button on the drivers door and in doing so you must lock and unlock the doors dozens of times and only then it may work the rear door. You do not need to lock the door for this to occur. The door will lock on its own. The vehicle can be unlocked, sitting for a day, and I can go out to use the vehicle and the rear door will be locked. You can be driving the vehicle and the rear door will simply lock itself. If you lock the vehicle (and it makes no difference how you do it) the rear door will not unlock with the other doors. My concern is that with a rear passenger (usually a child) and were involved in an accident entering or exiting the vehicle from the drivers side rear door would be nearly impossible because of the locking door. A very dangerous situation if fire were involved.

63 Equipment problem of the 2013 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 03/01/2018

The 2013 Nissan Titan randomly shuts off. Started this year sometime in March and has continued through the year. It will start back up when you put the truck and neutral and turn the key back over. And will run like nothing happened. The majority of the time it shuts off when accelerating from a stop light, stop sign. It is random and may only happen once a week or could happen 3 times or more a week. Also it has went up to 3 weeks and not shut off. The Nissan dealership in winston salem looked at it and kept the truck for a week and drove it. It does not though any codes and was not fixed. It is very dangerous. It has cut off on my kids and I while going through an intersection. I have now had other people look at it. And it has them puzzled. Now I'm stuck making payments on a truck that could get us hurt or killed.

64 Equipment problem of the 2004 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 01/13/2018

Went in for a routine oil change and was informed of a rear axle seal leak. I did some research online and have seen that is a very common issue with Nissan Titans and more specifically the 2004 Nissan Titans.

65 Equipment problem of the 2014 Nissan Titan

Cpsc: driving down the road vehicle would unlock while at a stop light or speeds less than 10 mph also vehicle sits for period of time and unlocks itself.

66 Equipment problem of the 2017 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 11/09/2017

Unintended acceleration multiple times in my possession. A launch forward into another individuals vehicle. Brought it back to the dealership for a second time with the same complaint and finally they were able to duplicate the problem. Yet with a simple update nna corp decides that the vehicle is safe to come back into my hands but the dealer does not feel the same in this situation. I've been with out my vehicle for over 3 months now. And I don't feel it's safe.

69 Equipment problem of the 2012 Nissan Titan

Vehicle would not go into gear, service advisor at chapman Nissan, claims that there's a sensor in the shifter that has a tendency to go bad. So the complete shifter had to be replaced. Cost over a $1,000. Vehicle being in a stationary position, after starting vehicle, shifter won't engage.

70 Equipment problem of the 2006 Nissan Titan

Failure Date: 02/03/2017

Complete rear axle failure with 105,400 miles. This rear axle was built to weak to handle the engine horse power and the vehicle cannot tow 7,800 lbs. Nissan falsely advertisie that this vehicle can tow 7,800 lbs. My vehicle never towed, it has no hithch the rear axle couldn't withstand just propelling the vehicle for 105,000 miles. A class action lawsuit is justified for owners if these vehicles affected with this known design flaw.
