I have had to replace my transfer case 2 times, my front drive side hub assembly 2 times in less than 2 years. I have replace front axle and and rear. Now my passenger side leaks out from under the glove box every time it rains into my floor keeping it wet. Just yesterday my transmission went itno limp mode and I know it can be a number of things . I look at the 04 thru 07 Titans and they have a lot of issues like have but haven't listed them all, but the issues iam having are not on recall list for my 2006, but are for the other years??? this is my only vehicle and I can't afford to keep dropping $ into it. Back driver window motor stopped and window fell and broke, manifold ticking is a recall for the 2005, but not my 2006. I could keep going but I am getting so frustrated. I was going down the road at about 45 mhp when it just went into limp mode, so I pulled over turned it off and back on then it would work for about 3 min. Stop do it again to get home. It will go into gear, and the rpm's rev and go up ,but I am not getting very far at all. My trans fluid is good. I have also replaced the throttle position sensor. All fuses are good and codes reset and it still goes limp mode.

When trying to get vehicle out of sand 4 wd switch was engaged with no 4 wheel drive resulting. 4 wheel drive error came up. Took into dealer and transfer case had to be replaced. I was stuck in sand and vulnerable. Vehicle only had 23,000 miles on it with very little use of 4 wheel drive. Seems that this is a common problem with this model.

The front drivers side axle keeps falling out of the transfer case. I believe due to a c-clip failure. This happens when the truck is in motion and the steering wheel is turned.

At 35000 this vehicle developed a severe vibration/shake at 42-48mph. Nissan replaced failed rear differential, front differential and transfer case. Severe vibration/shaking condition is still present. Nissan is not attempting any further repairs, claims normal body flexing.

Traveling 20 to 25 mph, up a hill, in 4 wheel drive road conditions when there was a loud "bang". The rear of the vehicle immediately shifted to the right, striking a tree. Never would you expect a vehicle to brake in such a way as to throw you into oncoming traffic. I believe that this defect should be immediately investigated and a recall issued. Dealer service department determined that the front differential and transfer case had to be replaced due to catastrophic failure. The front axle had backed out resulting in fluid leaking out. I was told that this was a known defect that had been redesigned.
Driving along below highway speed in 4 wheel drive on a steep uphill on snowy road. I lost 4 wheel drive and caused the rear wheels to start spinning and sending the vehicle side ways. Recovered by letting off gas. Look under truck to find the driver side axle out of the transfer case. Come to find out this is a huge issue from manufacturer from 04-07. Somebody need to get seriously hurt for action on this matter?.

Heard noise in transfer case, took in to mechanic to have problem checked. Found out anti-freeze and trasmission fluid were mixed together. Transmission had to be rebuilt. After repair needed additional repair to repair transmission line that had came off.
Changed engine oil over July 4th 2011 weekend and noticed oil all over transfer case. Upon further inspection found two bolts missing from top of transfer case. Drained transfer case fluid to wich only a quarter of a quart was left and was extremely black with metal fragments in it. Tried to match bolts for missing ones and filled transfer case with fresh fluid.

2005 Nissan Titan crew cab 4x4 with off-road package, within 10,000 miles there were loose bolts on the transfer case. At 38,500 miles the left front differential seal failed and leaked. At 39,800 miles the power steering hose went bad and leaked. At 51,000 miles the circular clip on the axle at front left differential deformed causing axle to begin to fall out of vehicle!!! thankfully all has been covered under our extended warranty, and dealerships have replaced parts, but when it runs out these will come from our pocket, and no one can guarantee the new parts are not just replacements or any better. This could have resulted in death or injury to us or someone else had that axle fell from vehicle, and could occur again.
Noticed a small grinding noise underneath my 2006 Nissan Titan le. A friend tells to check the bearings. I bring it the dealer, dealer tells me I need to replace the rear bearings and seals - $900. 00. They also tell me my brakes and emergency brakes shoes are shot due to bearing fluid leaking all over them, they wanted $1600. 00. Replaced all the brakes myself, which were totally fine. . . . I then notice the same grinding noise plus another under my drivers side floor. Bring it back to dealer asking them why. I come to find out the front differential is shot along with the transfer case. This truck has highway miles, only driven in 4x4 for snow. How can this happen? I then proceed to look for answers on the internet and find out that there are many other Titan owners with the same problems. Nissan has actually changed the part numbers for the axle due to the issues that are related. The new repairs will cost between $3600-$4000 which I cannot afford at the moment. Drive safe Titan owners. . .
I noticed oil leaking from the transfer case. Brought the truck to santa monica Nissan for inspection. Dealership verified the transfer case, left and right rear axle seals leaking. Dealership is replacing parts to correct the failure. This is an ongoing failure for all year model Nissan Titans.
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Titan. The contact noticed lubrication on his driveway. The dealer stated that the transfer case, rear axle seals, and brake shoes were faulty and needed to be replaced. The current and failure mileages were 71,000.
