Tl- the contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that upon starting her vehicle, her passenger air bag warning light had remained illuminated. Due to air bag light illumination, the contact had the vehicle towed bill seidle's Nissan 10500 NW 12th st, miami, FL 33172 where the vehicle was diagnosed with a faulty sensor; the contact was given an estimate of $450. 00 for repairs. The contact then had the vehicle towed to another dealer autonation Nissan miami 3345 sw 8th st, miami, FL 33135 where the vehicle was diagnosed with a defective clock spring and air bag sensor. She was given an estimate of $1,155. 00. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed her that they would cover 60% of the repair. Upon investigation, the contact had linked recall NHTSA campaign number :20v008000(air bags) with her failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 57,000. Jo.
This model should be included in the passenger airbag sensor recall from Nissan. The passenger side air bag is not functional, the warning light continually flashes, and the passenger air bag light shows "off" even when my 200 pound son is sitting in the front seat.
