This is a 5-speed manual transmission. When the car is stalled, upon restarting, the vehicle's power is significantly reduced. It becomes very dangerous to start from a stop, which is particularly concerning, as I bought this car for my 16-year old daughter.

Check engine light is on with only 300 miles. Ac rpms go up but it won't accelerate. Code p2615 - 00 apparently this is happening to all manual Versas year 2023+ and Nissan refuses to do anything. Car can just die in traiffic.

After I stalled the engine in a fast food drive through I restarted the car. When I went to take off the engine had no power and took a very long time to get up to speed throughout the gear selection. I was almost rear ended because of this. The car did not throw any check engine lights or dash codes. I got home and turned off the car. It sat for about 10 minutes then I test drove it around the block and it was fine.

This vehicle came with a 5-speed manual transmission. I am still learning how to drive a stick shift well, and on my way home from the dealer there were several instances of me stalling the engine due to letting the clutch out too fast. In several of these cases, when I restarted the engine, it acted almost as if it were in limp mode, or if the clutch was slipping badly.

2023 Versa occasionally loses power. Though the gas pedal is pressed to the floor, and despite downshifting, the car continues to lose power. This has happened about four times since car was purchased new in June 2023. Turning cart off and restarting may or may not interrupt the power loss. ~what component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? we are not sure what is malfunctioning, and yes, it may be inspected upon request. ~how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? loss of power means others may hit our vehicle, not knowing we are losing power. We may not be able to move out of a dangerous traffic situation. ~has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? dealer appointment has been scheduled for almost three weeks after requested (long wait for potentially dangerous problem). ~has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no. ~ were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? warning light came on one time, but went off before it could be read. On 13 Sep 2023 - warning message read-out: p2615.

Traffic stopped suddenly when I hit my brakes they failed to work and the airbags didn’t work either so I ended up hitting my head on the roof of the car when I ran into the truck that suddenly stopped in front of me at speed of about 50mph. I don’t feel good but have no way to get medical attention right now. And was just released from having some head trauma the day before the accident. My car was totaled in the accident so I don’t need additional recall information on it, and no insurance to fix it so now I don’t have any way to get a new car.

Unknown? air bag light blinks all the time when vehicle is running. Steering controls on steering wheel does not work. Might be a malfunction. Not sure.

Bought new car after raining opened hood of car the next day and found rain water collecting under the hood. Called dealer and was told it is normal.

The first incident, my car shut off as I was driving down the road. I had to put it in park in the middle of the road, start the car, and floor it to get there car to go. The second incident was after I took it in to Nissan. They said it was fixed, and two days after I picked it up, the car shut off on me as I was leaving a gas station, and the check engine light is back on.

The vehicle engine stalled while driving in motion at approximately 65 miles per hour, and occasionally would stall without warning while waiting at a traffic light stop. The vehicle occasionally would not allow for the key to turn its ignition and would remain locked unpredictably and would require extended amounts of time to lock/unlock via security key fob repeatedly to allow for the key to turn the ignition.

. The automatic transmission sensor. When u turn on the right blinker the car starts stalling acting like it's going to die. And it's not right turns it's the actual right blinker. And yes can be inspected. . You need ur signals to communicate with other drivers. So right blinker is very important, not only that the car jerking around in traffic like that is dangerous. . The car was inspected by a mechanic. . . I just bought the car and I noticed it about a month after I bought the car from private owner.

I was driving and the car suddenly stopped by itself and I didn't have any obstacle in front of me. After that, I guess is the parking collision warning light turned on, and I heard a beep with no reason.

Driver side visor sometimes falls straight down. In this position, it is not possible to drive safely. When the visor will not hold its position, a person is forced to put the visor against the driver side window. That might be fine out on the open highway, but it is not safe for driving around city streets. There has been low usage of this visor since this vehicle rolled off the dealer lot 4 months ago. The dealer claims outside use caused the visor to be inoperable. I believe it is more a matter of it being defective.

When I was driving normally on a hot day(90 degree), in on and go traffic, the lights of engine, brake, battery, power steering suddenly all lighted up and the engine stalked any the same time without any warning. Brake, power steering, oil pedal all stopped working. At that time, the ac was not in use so it would not be a problem. I turned off the engine, and turned on it again and everything worked normally again. I brought my car to check the battery, charging system, starting system. All good. Also, I check all fluid levels(brake, transmission, engine oil, coolant, window wash fluid) which were all normal. I am the first owner of the car. The car was well maintained and gently used, and only has 15,000 miles. The most recent oil change was two months ago and it was also inspected by the Nissan dealer that time without any problems. This is very dangerous for my family. That time I was driving in the heavy traffic on high way, when the engine stalked suddenly and my car lost power, my car was hit by a SUV behind me. My car is not 10 years in and the car has started to force itself/ judders when I’m accelerating a bit on the street and freeway. It basically back tracts when I’m driving. I’m starting to not feel not safe in the car. I need my car to get to school and work. I took my car today to the mechanic and he told me the transmission is faulty which is causing the problem. He told me his other customers with same car are having those problems too.

When vehicle is engaged into gear it won’t move or moves very slowly. As I turn on my car and change the gear into drive or reverse and I accelerate the car won’t move at all. I’ve had this happen many times either after I’m moving from a parked spot or after stopping at a red light. My car was inspected and they told me it was fine nothing was wrong. But the very next it happened again. My safety was put at risk because my car won’t accelerate in the middle of traffic or roads where I could get hit by another vehicle. There are currently no warning lamps or messages that are on my dashboard and there are no codes on my car was well the mechanics have said there is nothing they can find wrong with my car. It also happens at very random times making it unpredictable and dangerous. The latest incident occurred 01/05/23 but it has happened multiple times before that.

Car will only start sporadically. Had both camshaft sensors replaced, check engine light still on. Unable to predict when vehicle will start. Sometimes it will rev up but wont actually start. Dealership says it needs ecm and engine harness replaced. I have had to get it towed several times from several random parking lots or streets because it wouldn't start. Wont pass an emissions test even though sensors were replaced, check engine lights wont go off.

My transmission was replaced in 2016 at 60k miles. 3 years after the car was bought brand new. As of today the car has 114k miles. September 9, 2022 my transmission completely shut down on me. Also the check engine like came on. I have had the car only a year and the problem just came about. Im worried and concerned that the transmission should have not got out this quick for me. And also concerned as to why the original owner had the same transmission problem as me and had to replace after 3 years! I got in my car Sep 9 , 2022 and drove about 20 minutes and the car started jerking forward and the rpms were going crazy moving so fast. I turned around to head back home, I got on the bridge and was driving about 50/55mph. The car started decreasing in speed all the way to 0. Turned the car off and tried to continue to make my way back home. I had to take back streets home and every time I stopped at a red light or stop sign the car would take a second to drive off after. I brought the car to a mechanic who told me my transmission went out. Since the car transmission was last replaced only 54,000 miles have been put on the car. The fuel for the transmission was dark.

All the dash lights come on car acceleration will either speed up or slow down on its own the transmission slips shakes and stalls at red lights.

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while attempting to add fuel to the vehicle on several occasions that the fuel tank release lever popped and became inoperable. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

Battery continues to die after 6 months of having a new one. Alternator and starter have been checked and are in good working condition.

In reference to NHTSA recall 15v-507 on this vehicle which included a cvt transmission reprogramming ,which I handled by taking vehicle to the dealer on 10/20/2015! the letter I received added this issue as if it were a courtesy action of Nissan and made no mention of the cvt transmission having major issues! as most car owners, I assumed that this 2015 cvt reprogramming would resolve any past or future issues with it. ! I was still concerned that my vehicle was only 3 years & already had 2 recall items! sadly, I trusted the dealer & once these were handled , I felt good about driving the vehicle, thinking it should go to about 150,000 miles! I have now learned that so many of the cvt transmissions were totally failing and lawsuits were being filed because of it. Apparently in 2017, Nissan admitted it and extended the warranty on cvt transmissions. If I ever received notice of this, I have no printed copy or memory of that! I lived 2 minutes from work in 2012 and retired a year after purchase. I primarily drive locally and short distances and have very low miles on this vehicle. Now. . My 6-week dilemma:*check engine light came on 7/9/22, right after I got gas! garage kept, only 52,000 miles on it, routinely serviced and in stellar condition, I am now being told that the cvt transmission needs total replacement. My car however, did pass nc inspection at a Nissan dealership (with check engine light still on) 7/21/22, with them giving a 4200. 00 estimate when I said I had no money, they sent me out the door and said they hope I don't break down! Nissan of north America is going totally by vehicle's age, even though I have found reference that the cvt warranty should be 10 years or 120,000! since 7/9/21, I have been given totally conflicting information on current safety of my car and the best offer given by Nissan is to reduce my repair cost to $2381. 09 for a rebuilt transmission with one-year warranty! my main concern: is my car safe to drive? I am 64!.

My 2014 Nissan Versa has been acting strange after giving a family member a jump. Now my transmission seems to slip; I would put my foot on the gas and the rpm will sometimes be stuck at 3 for longer than normal. In addition, my back driver seat lock/latch stopped unlocking all of a sudden.

Horn issues horn isn't working car shuts off constantly multiple misfire codes reading permanent codes won't clear on code reader air bag light keeps blinking.

I am not sure which component or system is failing neither does Nissan however it is available for inspection. This vehicle will stall in traffic starting at high speeds and it fails to accelerate while driving which’s puts my safety and other drivers at risk. The dealership has not been able to properly diagnose or repair this ongoing problem. This problem has persisted for 2 years. It has only been inspected by the dealer ship at two different locations. Of the seven times it has been to the shop only one time the check engine light came on. No other lights have ever been ignited on the dashboard.

After I bought my 2015 Nissan Versa with VIN: 3n1cn7ap3fl925423 in April 2019, the water gained entry inside the car due to heavy rain a month later. The incident has continued to occur; unfortunately, I had kept blaming it on the height between the parking ground and the car floorboard. The design flaws on the Versa allow water to collect below the windshield. When the collected water doesn't drain, so it flows into the car on the front passenger side floor below the compartment gloves area. It causes visibility problems during rainy and winter seasons since the inside car is not completely sealed causing insulation issues. I had to buy different products to address the visibility problems. My car got flooded last may 2022 to the point I had to get a cup to get some of the water out. I started hearing a sloshing sound and quirking sound when pressing on the brake not too long and so on. I initially paid $1,200 to repair the electrical problems to a Nissan dealer and later found out the harness needed to be replaced due to water damage costing $7,200. The design flaw made my car unsafe due to the visibility problem during inclement weather. There is a blog where 2014 through 2018 Nissan Versa owners describing the same issue I have been experiencing. I am dumbfounded Nissan has never bothered to address this issue for so long; very few people have a disposable income to pay for repairs or constantly buy a new car in less than 5 years. Transmission slips/inoperable while driving which has proven to be extremely dangerous. Vehicle taken to multiple repair locations but all were unable to fix or repair.

In February 2022, our 2014 Nissan Versa (which my husband purchased new in 2014) started to sputter and nearly stall upon acceleration. Today (3/14/2022) I visited younger Nissan- a Nissan dealer in frederick, MD where he purchased the car- for diagnosis and repair. They found that the car at 77,666 miles needs a completely new transmission, costing over $4000 in repairs. This is a critical safety issue. The car could have stalled at any speed, and there is no error or alarm shown on the car's dashboard indicating an issue. This is a product defect and with no warning or alarms there was no opportunity to fix or check the issue while under still under warranty. I have been driving this unsafe vehicle for several weeks, unaware that there was a critical safety issue for myself and other drivers- this is unacceptable! this is a known issue for Nissan. If you google "2014 Nissan Versa transmission" you will find complaint after complaint- including a class action law suit- about this issue. It seems that Nissan knows and is trying to ignore this issue. I would appreciate if you looked into this issue with Nissan and their cvt transmission issues with their 2014 Nissan Versa models. I also plan to contact Nissan north America, the us department of transportation, the maryland state attorney general and possibly small claims court about this issue. Please look into this so that myself and other drivers are not risking our lives driving these vehicles. I am happy to provide you with copies of my payments etc. Once the car is fixed. I had to finance the majority of the repair cost as I am sure a large majority of other drivers have had to do as well. Thank you for any assistance and feedback.

The shape of the driver’s armrest is sharply pointed at front of it. While leaning over to pick something up from passenger side, front of armrest lodged between my ribs and I felt something physically pop. Excruciating pain was caused to point of feeling nauseous. Nearly three weeks later, I’m still sore in the spot where the armrest stabbed me.

My car stalled while at an intersection, I was driving and came to a red light where I stopped upon the light changing green I stepped on the gas pedal and my car would not move. I shifted into reverse and still no movement. I turned my car off and restarted it and no movement, the engine turned on etc I had to move it over to a side residential street to get it out of on coming traffic.

I park the nissa Versa and I smell an over heating odor a lightly dense smoke appears over the hood. A thought comes to mind, “I just went to jiffy lube last week. ” suddenly two people are running towards yelling, “fire, get out of the car. ” I couldn’t believe it I was at a loss for words I couldn’t move until they literally opened the door. I started recording it. It’s insane I loved that car, it was payed off and it still looked nice. -it gets worse they tow the car to north shore towing. I report it to my insurance and the appraiser that attempted to see the car was not allowed access because I didn’t sign a release form so I go to the towing place and sign the release form. The appraiser goes for the second time and is refused entrance. Weeks went by so I call the insurance which informs me of the previous two failed entries to north shore towing. I ask the staff male on the phone why he didn’t allow the insurance agent entry to inspect vehicle I had signed the release form. The staff male literally laughs at me on over the phone. You want to know what component? inspection? and today my friend mentions his car has been recalled and light bulb went on and here I am asking for your help. I have videos witnesses also I have proof that of the signed document to release the car to insurance agent.

The heat shield fell off my 2013 Versa. I understandthis is common Versa cars. That shows manufacturing quality control issues that harm the engine. Please make sure you report that the heat shield fell off the bottom of my car. It was not secrured properly. The ar only has 57,000 miles on it. In addition the headlights do not work. There must an electrical short that always causes the highbeams to fail.

Upon purchasing my vehicle the frame bolt had rattled loose and the motor mounts were broke because of how hard the engine rattles.
