A few hours later, the contact noticed the fracture had spread across the windshield and up to the roof. The dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not repaired. The approximate current and failure mileages were 37,000.
My 2008 Nissan Versa hatchback windshield on the passenger side of the vehicle cracked while sitting overnight in the driveway. The crack originates from the bottom of the windshield on the passenger side, travels upwards about 3 inches and then travels across the windshield towards the driver for 10 inches and then back down to the bottom of the windshield. There are no stone chips or visible defect at the crack initiation sites. Needless to say the dealer informed me it is not covered under warranty.
