The car will shut off while driving/idling. There are no check engine lights. Took it to get the latest recall fixed that had to do with this and they just gave us new keys. It did not remedy the situation! now we are paying to fix it because it is still shutting off while driving.

Electrical ground wire to alternator burnt out; caused battery to lose charged replaced twice within 2 years.
While driving the vehicle the car shut off while ignition was on. No warning whatsoever.
The hazard and turn signals doesn't work at all. I bought a new turn switch, put a new fuse in and everything and nothing works. When I drive on the road the turn signal doesnt come on and sometimes it causes a lot of problems.
For some time the turn signals would only work intermittently. It seemed like I had more trouble with them if it was very hot and humid outside. Then, the turn signals triggered the hazard lights to come on. The turn signals are now inoperable. Sometimes the hazard lights come on by themselves and I am unable to turn them off. The turn signals quit working as I was driving down the road. The turn signals are completely inoperable now.
"takata recall" I own a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero and my blinkers only work maybe 2 time a month when I use my turning signals in either direction I just hear a buzzing sound sometimes it is only in one direction and sometimes there is no sound and no blinker at all. Now my gas gauge says empty and I just put $30 of gas in it and once I ran out of gas and and was stuck on the hwy for 4 hours because my gas gauge said full tank b.
Driving on the highway, all of the warning lights came on, the fuel gauge dropped to empty, the rpm gauge dropped to zero, the thermostat needle rapidly flickered up and down then the car shut off. The vehicle won't start, the instrument gauges move by themselves with no key in the ignition and now the car has zero power. . This car has been doing this for the past 3 months.

Air coming into the intake manifold and my low trac light comes on every time I have to do a turnaround or back around in a slow position from a start posistion. So im not getting my gas mileages worth nor can I do a uturn in a fast acceleration. It will get slower thats dangerous if upcoming traffic starts to proceed making it liable for an accident. Im scared for my life. Im in California in los angeles.

Car often stalls starting. Easily cuts off when portable phone charger is in place or if radio is on after 5 minutes with discontinuing engine. Cut off at a stop sign recently without warning and would not restart until some time later. Has new battery less than 8 months old. Did the same things with old battery and was thought that it was the problem but continues with the same issues. Seems to have a short in the electrical system somewhere.
Takata recall- I bought this car last year and have had trouble with the ignition. When I try to turn the key I feel the ignition move. I also have a hard the keeping it started. When I'm driving with my seat belt on my no seat belt light flashes on and off as if it wasn't on.
Just got this car from the dealer and there is a gas leak also the key comes out of the ignition with the car on acceleration I have to put it back in and wiggle it to get it off and there's a o-ring sensor leak can't pass the echeck. I've had this car since August and the estimate to get the car fixed to pass the check is over the amount for the car and I am still paying a note when the car is station is leaking gas when it is motion it barely leaks when I park it, it pours out.
Takata recall, since the car has a ignition problem and it is at the putnam gm burlingame till now they don't do any of recall even diagnose the car and they want me to remove it now or I have to pay to fix it different from the manufacture customer service says last Tuesday when I tow that car to their place after I tell to them the situation they said they taking care of it, now they change. I feel like because I have a older car and no value they don't think about the safety of the car and the damage could be made to others. I can't. Drive that car not safe. I can't work without car please help . I'm not asking to fix the paint or wheel. Just check what they have to fix stopping of engine and hard to start cause by ignition and the airbag must work properly.
The contact owns a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. While the key was in the ignition, the engine failed to engage without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
I recently had my 2001 Oldsmobile Alero key ignition fail me. I had the recall done on the keys. All they did was put a plastic key cover on my keys. I got stranded due to my "new" keys not allowing my key ignition to turn over at all. I started to do research and have found many complaints that gm won't fix the ignition problem just drills a hole in the top of the key to make it seem lighter in weight and then just covers the original key with plastic. I can't afford this kind of thing happening. I was stranded for several hours due to this. What if this happens to someone with children?.
My turning signals work, but when not in use the signal noise does a rapid beep, beep noise, even when I drive and sit idly.
Bought car a year ago, it had issues with turn signals not working. I googled issue and replaced hazard switch 125,000 miles. Now at 155,000 timing chain slipped, it's replacement worth more than car value. I heard after 2004 a change was made because of issues but no recall. Car was pulled to end of driveway before taking a close out of town trip, turned off to check oil and such, wouldn't start. Estimate received to repair 2,500$. I am furious!.
My vehicle turn signals are working intermittently. Upon researching this issue, I see that there has since been a recall. However, my VIN doesn't fall into their criteria, but the exact same thing is happening to my vehicle. They refuse to repair at their expense. This is very unsafe and I have a young teenager driving that cannot be without the use of turn signals. The recall number is 03v327000. I indicated the date this occurred as the date the vehicle was given to my daughter. However, it has been an ongoing issue with the previous owners.

The hazard light button fell into the dashboard and the blinker signals only intermittently work. They will sometimes stop working while in the middle of a turn, other times will work for a few days, and then randomly stop again for no consistent amount of time. Upon researching this issue to repair I see that it is very common with other cars of this make and model.
The turn signals work sometimes but if it rains they don't want to.
Ignition lock cylinder failure resulting in the device stocking and becoming stuck inoperable. At first it was difficult to turn to the run possition. It would feel stuck and took some wiggling and shaking in order to start the vehicle. Which progressed to being stuck permanently.
The contact owns a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power and all the warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, but the technician could not get the vehicle started. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the body control module and battery were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was also towed to another independent mechanic who was briefly able to get the vehicle started, but the failure recurred. The failure occurred over ten times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
The contact owns a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 14v400000 (electrical system: ignition). When driving the turn signals will work and then not work at random and this concerns me, it can create a serious and dangerous situation.
I plugged in the cigarette lighter and about thirty seconds after I lit my cigarette the wires behind the dash(instrument panel) began to smoke and caught fire. The wire coverings was burnt off to show bare wires shorting my entire car. The fuse located under the hood in the fuse relay center that went to the cigarette lighter was melted and burnt into the relay box. No electrical in my entire car works!!!.
