Chrysler designed the power distribution block cover to hold water and retain moisture. This causes the connections to corrode and fail leading to failure of critical, electrically-operated, safety systems including the airbag safety restraint system and the anti-lock braking system. Chrysler has been aware of the error and redesigned the power distribution box. However, they did not recall and offer to replace the failed component.

We have a 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager we have owned it 5-6 years. For about the last 2 years sometimes the brake pedal pulls down on its own and sticks for a few moments. It will do this when your foot is on the pedal and not pressing down at all, but it also does it when your foot is not over the pedal at all! I could be going 45 mph and it will pull down on its own and come back up in a few seconds. It is an very occasional problem so we never know when it will happen, unfortunately it has not done it while at the mechanics. We have had it looked at several times and worked on 3 times and they can't find the problem. I am very concerned this could be dangerous but we can't seem to find the problem.
When applying brakes at 70 mph consumer heard a scraping sound with vibration and braking distance was extended beyond 300 feet.

When the brakes are applied there is a vibration in the front end, caused by the warped rotors.
While driving on dry payment applied the brakes and the abs brakes did not work. At this incident the truck had 500miles. The dealer said the brakes were fine since then the driver has to double the amount of distance between any vehicle to have enough stopping time. The second time driver applied the brakes the abs brakes never pumped on, and that caused the driver to hit another vehicle. This accident happened on Feb. 21,1998.
Despite several dealership "fixes" gas tank shifts and thumps when accelerating or stopping sharply. All electric door locks had to be replaced due to electrical "vibration"-type noises when activating. Rear brakes have "hummed" when lightly braking since new. Problem evolved into surging. Needed a complete brake job at 40,000 miles due, I believe, to lack of dealership fix before hand.
When the brakes are applied brake pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance and uneven brake wear.
