38 Air Bag problem of the 2009 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 04/20/2017

Takata recall I was informed in a letter that gm is working on airbag recall for my car. It stated that in case of an accident my airbag can explode and I may die. They also said that in another letter they will specify when the replacement part is available. It has been a while and I have not heard anything back so I decided to do my own research. After calling local Cadillac dealer here in nashville, I was informed that the only place in tennessee that still does SAAB warranty work in in memphis. After calling that dealership, they said that the parts have been available for a while. I believe this is a very serious matter since my life can be at danger every time I drive my car. I feel like gm is acting negligent in this case. I understand that they do not produce Saabs anymore, but they should still do their best to support the product that they have produced.

39 Air Bag problem of the 2008 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 04/15/2017

Takata recall. My SAAB was recalled. This vehicle was built by gm. I was told by SAAB the only places that could fulfill the recall were >100 miles away. I called the facility on the other side of the state ~5 times without a return call. I'd like the get this fixed and I'm worried about driving the car with the defective airbags.

40 Air Bag problem of the 2006 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 04/03/2017

I contacted the local dealership in elk grove, GMC and on 3 different occasions they state they do not service SAAB vehicles. I told them that GMC is responsible for it and they stated there is only one location that we could take it to in central California by fresno if I want to get it fixed. Which it will be an undue hardship. I also told them that our car was spilling gas due to an original faulty unit. They stated there was a recall for that however, it somehow doesn't show on my VIN. Several times we ran out of gas and our kids got gasoline on their clothes. We called 4 dealerships and all of them state to go somewhere else. When I open the hood I see GMC brand all over the car. I believe GMC is discriminating against people with disabilities and not accommodating me. I told them I cannot drive 300 miles, I have to have someone take it because I had a stroke. They told me that they are GMC but they are not. If they are using that as an excuse then this recall committee should investigate into this and sanction them. At this point, because of safety recall is not available to get it done, I cannot safely drive with my kids. 2 of my kids are special needs kids. At this point, I would like GMC to reimburse me the full current value of the vehicle for their failure to do the needed recall repairs. If GMC made a faulty business choice when they took over the SAAB's the customers should not suffer. GMC constantly makes me feel that even though70% of the vehicle is GMC I don't have the same rights as GMC customers. Currently, the blue book value is $6500. I'm stopping paying registration in hopes to get this vehicle either traded in for another one by GMC or refunded. Since a recall is not supposed to be an undue hardship upon, GMC is devising and scheming and changing policies and procedures to discourage customers to getting service recalls to Saabs.

43 Air Bag problem of the 2009 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 03/02/2017

I was first notified of the recall in 2016, but told that the replacement parts not available. When I got the notice early this year that parts available, I called the authorized dealer several times and never got a response. On one occasion I spoke to someone who said he would call me back but never did, and who told me that my car doesn't have the tamara airbag (which it appears it does), and that nothing had happened with any SAAB. He was very dismissive of the risk.

44 Air Bag problem of the 2007 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 02/10/2017

In March 2017 I received a recall for this vehicle. Have followed up several times (with both SAAB and gm) and am still told that no parts are available. The vehicle was purchased and stays in florida and it is my understanding that warmer climates are the highest risk areas for injury by defective air bags when inflated. This should have been enough time to handle the recall and I am concerned about the potential danger and would like an update from NHTSA. Thank you.

Failure Date: 01/23/2017

Takata recall this recall has been ongoing for quite some time and I have yet to receive a letter to fix my airbag. Should I wait until my family and/or I am in an accident and die before we get this fixed?.

47 Air Bag problem of the 2006 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 01/20/2017

Takata recall it has been a year since the recall was announced without a resolution. This is too long for a potentially fatal defect to continue to be left unresolved.

49 Air Bag problem of the 2009 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 01/20/2017

Takata recall - my complaint is that absolutely nothing has happened, and that the status of the recall issued approximately one year ago "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available". People are still dying out there because takata has not yet solved this problem. Those of us who own vehicles that are under this recall can't just stop driving them while we wait for this part to become available. So, instead, we expose ourselves to risk of injury and death from an air bag that is supposed to protect us in a crash. This is totally unacceptable!!!.

51 Air Bag problem of the 2007 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 01/18/2017

Takata recall I received a notice over one year ago (October 2015) that the driver airbag in my SAAB 9-3 2007 had been recalled. As of today, January 18, 2017, there is still no remedy available. It is unacceptable that it is taking this long to be fixed and I have concerns that the manufacturer will not be held accountable.

63 Air Bag problem of the 2007 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 11/02/2016

The document states that the parts to repair my vehicle are not currently available. This is from March 2016. How long am I supposed to pay for a vehicle that has a potentially lethal defect and has not been addressed. The millions of other recalls appear to have solution and those owners are still waiting. This makes me believe that they have not even had the time to manufacture a solution for my make and model. How long is an acceptable time to play russian roulette every day I commute to work. I am not even able to drive my 10 week old son anywhere in this vehicle. What are our options? if I wait to file this until I have an accident there is a good chance I will be dead and unable to file it.

Hi all, we receive a notice several months ago regarding a recall to the airbags in our car. At the time they said there was currently no rememdy. I just checked safecar. Gov to check if there were any updates and it says "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available " we are worried about using this car as recently an eleventh person was killed by these airbags. Is there some way to expedite the replacement of the airbags? thanks you so much for any help you might be able to offer. Scott.

68 Air Bag problem of the 2006 SAAB 9-3

Failure Date: 10/25/2016

We received a letter from SAAB approximately 1 year ago and the dealership (a registered SAAB service center) says that it is not an active recall, even though when we type in the VIN number on the NHTSA website, it comes back as having this particular recall for the airbags. We have been calling the dealership every month and they refuse to work with us and insist that this recall is not real.
